  • @Polygeekery burned it all down, while those who remained lost their homes and many possessions. The fire continued and spread for another ten days until everyone was forced out.

The fire, at the time of being, was much worse than expected, a disaster in an era where the city was struggling. However, the city was saved thanks to the strong efforts of firemen who were skilled and diligent, some of whom were on their way to the nearby town of Horsheim, to collect firewood and repair the buildings destroyed by the blaze. The fires which killed hundreds of people have never been accounted for and are assumed to be acts of a local black magic cult known as "the Great Flames of the Red Sun", a group who is now dead.

    Aftermath:

    The aftermath:

People still survive to this day, though many are now elderly and disabled, even many women have to stay indoors to care for their children. These fires destroyed many houses and all the livestock in the area, forcing thousands of citizens to leave and find alternate homes.

  • @Polygeekery started a massive fire when they were trying to convert an old desk lamp into an ecommerce website. However, since we wanted to make sure they didn't have to invest their entire savings for the website, we started out by getting their help to replace the bulb. When the United Nations Security Council voted unanimously last month to ratify the Trans-Pacific Partnership, it passed with few complaints.

The agreement was a triumph of globalization—and of trade deals. But it's a deal that's also going to take effect without public debate, which is exactly why it should not be seen as a "yes". We need to get the vote on that, and we can't do that when it takes months, if not years to get the job done.

  • A hardware engineer working for Samsung was found murdered in Kailua-Kona at the behest of Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Police believe that the apparent suicide was part of a larger effort to kill off a rival in which Cook was on vacation, according to a Waimea Star News article published Tuesday.

It was unclear what role Cook played in killing his former colleague at Samsung, who was also found dead in a bedroom of the same Honolulu home. The newspaper said he had previously threatened to kill himself.

Two of Cook's former companies — Samsung Electronics and Apple — have been at the center of controversy since the death of the engineer in February.

The news about Cook's alleged role was the same Tuesday that Apple CEO Tim Cook said his company would "rethink" a decision to allow certain government agencies to collect phone data from Americans.

A Florida man who bought a $100,000 gold-embroidered coat from eBay.

The gold-embroidered outfit was listed on a Texas-licensed eBay site about three years ago and sold in just over a year.

But a few days after the buyer posted the advertised listing, agents with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms contacted him, according to court documents. They told him that the gold-embroidered jacket he purchased was "not in compliance with federal firearms regulations."

They said he had to return the coat to the U.S. Border Patrol for an examination, which lasted approximately 10 hours.

According to the document, the man's gold, white and blue fleur-de-lis hat went missing during the exam.

On Saturday, the man reported the missing hat to the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, which then took possession of the coat. He told investigators that he planned to post the coat on eBay to raise funds for Operation Eagle Eye, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's operation to help rid the West from mountain lions.

It's unclear if the FBI or Border Patrol agents would have contacted the man about his missing hat if his gold-embroidered coat had been part of the offered listing.

The gold-embroidered coat was a perfect match for the wearer

    "What's an Equestrian?" Twilight asked.

Growl sighed. "It's a derogatory term for people who wear pony ears. It's supposed to imply that Equestrians don't have good taste in hairstyles." He glanced over to her. "And I guess this name doesn't help either, you know. Your dad and I just started school, and we're supposed to make a name up and start working here. Not saying I want to be just another girl of a certain generation!" Growl turned to Twilight. "What?"

Twilight blushed. "I didn't mean to say... you know!" Growl turned to Spike. "No worries, I have to keep my mouth shut! I'll get you out of the way though, right?"

The sun was up, the sun had been high in the sky, and the moon was shining brightly below. It made the place glow faintly in the sky, especially in the early-morning hours, which made anyone who wasn't already aware feel happy to see so many ponies.

Perhaps a better name would be "Bumblebee" – a word no matter how many times you say it.

The concept of Bumblebee is something that you might have seen a bit. A little in this case is "buh" – the original meaning being "bunny".

A lot of this word comes from 'bumbum'. It may not sound a lot to think about today but in 1650 it was used to describe a female rabbit or a mouse or some other animal that only appeared once during every 20 years or so (the exact frequency varied by city). If you live in modern times where animals don't usually have a great deal of time to rest, it's reasonable and easy to imagine an actual bunny.

Ms. Velma's Most Incredibly Magnificent Christmas Week 2014, when she was also married to Robert and married to Bill, took place. In the months following the wedding, the Velmas began buying out other people's rights to the Velmas' Christmas cards, including Mrs. Velma herself.[2] One of the key decisions Mrs. Velma made was the purchase of the copyright of her own photograph. She said in a January 2014 interview that the decision to purchase the copyright seemed obvious to her at the time. She was also happy with that decision because, though she felt the picture "moved us," it was not the one people loved. (When the Velmans became aware that their photographs were being replaced, several individuals tried to negotiate terms and circumstances that would allow them to retain the copyright of their pictures. None came to fruition, though some tried.) Despite that decision, when Mrs. Velma and her family visited Los Angeles in late September, she bought her own photograph, which she used to send out invitations.[3] The wedding itself featured a number of celebrities in costumes, including the newlyweds.

At one point, the Velmans were planning on taking a trip to Paris to "share" a dinner they have been planning for the new year at L'Antiente, the La Belle Equipe hotel. The trip was canceled but, on Dec

The Intel Core i9-7950X (3.40 GHz quad-core CPU) is capable of performing basic math and is used for video editing.

Well, I certainly hope it can do basic math!

The Ryzen 965WK is essentially a full tower powered by the 10 nm FinFET. The chip has a TDP of 90W, with the reference design going for 150W. The only difference between the two parts is the placement of the die. Ryzen is a 10 nm part, whereas the 8 nm part is based on 16 nm technology. Intel has been working hard to make the 14 nm part a lot larger, and that's the key to Ryzen's success.

AMD's latest Ryzen chip uses a custom design which has not only significantly increased transistor counts but also enabled new memory technologies like HyperTransport (HT), an advanced feature of HT. Both HyperTransport and HyperBlink are currently featured on the Z270. HT is a technology that is already in place on the 14 w/ 8 nm processors, but the 915W's features are so advanced that it can be used in both configurations.

HT+ will enable DDR4 memory over the PCI Express bus (or PCI-Express 3.0 bus), increasing bandwidth and reducing latency. HT+ will be available on the Ryzen 965WK in December – with the Z270 part coming around a month later, if AMD can hit the 20th or later. There were no specific specs on the HT+ memory, but it seems that Intel is currently working on a variant called HyperVid

Well, apart from being strangely worded, the part in italics is actually pretty close to reality... Although DDR4 over PCIe sounds very :doing_it_wrong:!

The A12 Bionic's 3D printed motor can easily move up to 18mph, which could make it ideal for motorcycling.

It has a built-in motor controller to keep the A12's high current flow, a motor winding controller to slow it down for low speed travel and a speed sensor to monitor its speed when on and off.

3D printed motors on the roads of New Zealand

While the 3D printed motor has proved very popular, it has also brought challenges, so it's no surprise that its development has been hindered, as the motor is only able to move up to 18mph - meaning the only real option for a full-speed bicycle would be to use an ATV.

With ATVs not being developed in the same manner as the A12 motor, and New Zealand not having any plans for such a concept, the A12's motor would need to use a dedicated machine.

The motor could then go from concept for motorcycling towards reality, as we currently have no road rules in New Zealand, so it's likely that a dedicated machine such as this is never going to be built, but if it does get built, then we would have a fantastic future motor on our hands.

And the Apple A12 turned up something completely different.

When the interviewer asked if he had anything sexually excited about female prostitutes, Kate said "Maybe you could have me?" (Katerates: "Yes, I could have you.")

In a subsequent trial, in which Kates was not convicted, the judge gave him a ten year suspended sentence, and his probation officer, Robert Hinton, issued an order of community service.

Kates's wife, Janet, and his girlfriend, Ann, were arrested in the summer of 2000 after police reported finding the remains of two male prostitutes, one buried beneath a concrete sidewalk. In fact, the bodies had been discovered in the woods. The bodies showed no signs of rape, but according to Kate's defense, they had been strangled to death and stuffed in the trunk of his car. It took the police only three months to arrest Kates, and he was held for several days on suspicion of homicide. He was acquitted, however, and the case was dropped for

  • Mountain Dew is already being touted as the first energy drink that could transform the world. But this new brand is not all about creating energy. It also creates jobs, because a company's product is an appliance to use in homes, offices, and offices; businesses. To the tune of over $1 billion in US profits for Mountain Dew last year alone. But not everyone approves; there have been complaints from environmentalists like Joe Romm of Global Witness. His article "Green Jobs Is More Expensive Than People Think," and his claims have gotten Mountain Dew into hot water, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the FDA has issued a formal memo warning that consumers should not buy Mountain Dew.

According to a November 2009 report prepared by the University of California, San Francisco's College of Public Health, the FDA warns:

Citing potential health risks, adverse public relations effects, the availability of unsubstantiated health claims, and the potentially misleading effects on sales, the agency has advised that consumers refrain from ordering and using Mountain Dew products from now on unless they are concerned with perceived health risks, but are sure to get at least one free sample of the drink. Mountain Dew is made for home use and has a caffeine level considered to be in the range of 100 milligrams per 100 milliliters, which is not a lot of caffeine.

  • The guillotine is still a formidable weapon when it comes to suppressing an individual without the need of a sword. But what makes it so deadly? One theory is that it allows anyone to easily identify an enemy from the shadows with ease, even when they're wearing disguises and are completely covered in gore. One study suggests that guillotine victims are not usually killed instantly. Some victims are killed within a few minutes, as with a person who has already fallen off their bicycle, while others are killed within a few seconds. Researchers have concluded that there is also no evidence to prove that the guillotine is more effective at deterring suicide than conventional methods of death.

  • How to defend yourself against an assailant armed with a banana pepper spray

An assailant armed with a banana pepper spray is almost always wrong. It's usually stupid. It's dangerous but ineffective. You can't stand in front of an armed enemy who is trying to hurt you and you're not prepared to fight when he's getting away with it, especially when you're wearing your best suit and all that. And a banana pepper is like the plague. You'll be fine in a fight. But if you're walking around with a banana pepper spray with your friends, they probably won't be safe. And that's not the point!

There's actually a whole theory that shows how good banana pepper spray actually works when you're wearing clothing with a good cotton. If you're wearing something that's cotton like jeans or t-shirts, a banana pepper spray that is activated by sweat or sweat-dampening agents can be applied directly to that garment. It's great if, when you're fighting, or if you're in trouble, you put on some kind of a jacket or some kind of a vest that's thick enough to prevent the spread of pepper spray spray.

The V8 engine is what makes your Chevy Volt tick.

The V8 has three turbochargers with a maximum of 500 horses each that power one of these massive engines that produce 1.5 horsepower, 0.8 foot-pounds of torque each, and an average of 300,000 pounds annually for three years.

The V8-powered Chevy Volt is more powerful than any other vehicle on track. No other car on track could pull off a higher-performance acceleration with its 4th generation battery pack. The Volt has the most torque from the electric motor to the wheels combined with the highest acceleration for any gasoline engine, regardless of whether it can rev the engine faster. And while other electric vehicles were powered by combustion engines, the V8 engine makes the Tesla's entire chassis, from interior to engine, more electric than anything else on the planet.

  • The Internet is a series of tubes of information that travel between people all across the world around the globe. And in order to maintain some degree of anonymity on this network, most of those tubes of information would go through anonymous servers (although some of them would go through public or proprietary servers).

The system was originally called the Open Internet. It was created between 2003 and 2008 by the World Wide Web Consortium to allow communication about internet resources to work without needing internet-based networks around the world, and so people could share information online.

For years the Consortium was called the "Unified Web." This "web" became known as the open access network because it allowed other sites to "listen to" certain types of people without them needing to ask their local communities if they could be included. And it has the biggest reach possible to everyone who wants to be a part of it: you can visit any site via the Internet without having to know any particular name in order to do so.

But in April 2011, Google announced that it (under pressure from the US and many other countries) would be pulling back some of the other parts of the "web" in favor of more focused, targeted search as a separate "operational core" of the company.

They were a little older, maybe thirty or more, and wore loose shirts and jeans; their mothers, sisters and daughters were too young to have ever seen a man, let alone a girl. Some wore baseball caps around their heads, just for added effect.

There at the edge of the cistern, the girls began chanting the slogan "We are here!" It had been done a lot more often since people started to notice this and the police had started to step up their patrols around some of the other women's groups; the girls were clearly having a party of their own, and the trans activists hadn't noticed. "Please, go back to your dorms!" the girls said as if it were a normal thing to scream in front of kids: "Go back to the dorms!" The girls weren't trans girls; they

But was it a trans cistern? Enquiring minds want to know!

  • A new car that doesn't need any fuel to operate, even at a low speed," says Thomas J. Schmid. (Photo: Courtesy of Thomas Schmid)

Schmid, an Ohio graduate of the University of Akron — and now his wife, Juleana — has been helping develop fuel cells and other renewable energy technologies for years.

His interest deepened when he saw the need for a new car on his daily commute from his son's school to his work. The first car he drove involved an electric motor, but he'd love to make a car that doesn't require fuel. That's because, while many electric car manufacturers make their electric motors via battery packs, he doesn't. That means he can buy an electric car using the same technology that's in his car.

He thinks the electric car will cost $60,000 — roughly 10 times more than his current car, with a base price of about $25,000. That's when Schmid became interested in putting it all together.

  • Discourse touched me in a no-no place

I am the egg man! I am egg man!' I am the egg man!" I don't need you telling me to stop being a pussy! This isn't cute!"

"Why would a young lad have to pretend to be such a girl when he can act like a boy right now? It isn't cute because he knows what is funny on the radio, he knows what is appropriate for the time, he does know it is cute. We are talking about girls wearing underwear, in a bikini and high heels, and the only people there are the girls who are wearing underwear."

"There are more important issues to worry about than this. If he is trying to convince you he is a girl and not an egg, then you have to hear this guy and understand that he is a dick!"

"He said I could wear short skirt and high heels but I am a boy! He said I could wear short and fast pants but not fast pants, that is a girl!"

"I think I have become used to being a boy! My hair was always like a boy's hair, and my clothes were always short, tight and stockings so now it is time for me to grow what I had always wanted! I must stop wasting my free time with girls."

"I would like to know why you are wearing my long coat that you like but wear my

So, is he a dick or an egg? Or do we need a new emoji for :dickegg:?

  • cold fusion

The problem is that it's a very risky technology that can destroy you, but that risk is minimal for the moment, said Dr. William Schulman, a University of California at Los Angeles nuclear physicist and co-editor of Fusion.

This makes the nuclear fusion of hydrogen (a gas) with helium (a solid) a practical application that's well beyond the scope of fusion physicists and others familiar with fusion. They worry about dangerous interactions during the reaction.

"That's really the way energy is meant to be utilized. As far as how to do fusion, it's a very tricky system," he said.

So, what's the future of fusion?

Fusion reactors are only available in the United States now, in the form of the San Onofre Nuclear Reactor located under the San Francisco Bay — just beyond the San Francisco Bay Bridge. This reactor, the oldest in the U.S., is already running at 60-50 percent capacity (50-50), but more needs to be built over the next 30 to 45 years, said David Shain, spokesman for the San Onofre project.

The plan is to build about 1,000 fusion reactor units by 2035, with a completion date in 2027, Shain said.

  • A new type of car engine that runs on pure Ebola virus is developing in the Netherlands.

This car engine is based on the Ebola virus, rather than a real one. The virus has a naturally occurring 'molecular mimic', called the Ebola receptor, that can be engineered to respond to a particular chemical in the atmosphere or fuel by changing its temperature.

The EMR is capable of changing from pure and unstable to more stable, or to a higher temperature. It is designed to fuel large vehicles in vehicles with engines over 15 metres in length. If it were a real Ebola virus, the fuel that it converts to is high-temperature fuel. And that's why vehicles are able to operate and operate well for years without running out of fuel and fuel is much more valuable than it used to be.

Professor Marc Faull, at Leiden University, worked with Dr John Coates at the University of Melbourne to develop the car engine.

They were able to increase its efficiency by 20 per cent. This means that a fully equipped petrol engine from the United States costs about a quarter as much as it used to.

It is an incredible achievement, and we believe that this model can be replicated by a single person who could run one car a day for the rest of his life.

  • The IEEE is forming a committee to create a new Ethernet standard that communicates over chains of Anthrax bacilli. We have a strong group of members on this Committee who are all passionate about Anthrax infections and what is needed to address them effectively. We want to get this done.

The committee is currently working on its initial draft of the standard, with several proposals coming together so it will be in place by early April. The committee is also developing a draft protocol, called an Advanced Protocol to Support Advanced Infections, or APIA, as proposed in RFC 1887, and its design document. The APIA protocol includes a "dynamically distributed cluster of anthrax-carrying bacteria", the "diversity of bacteria" and the "biophysical features which allow for rapid transmission and transmission without an attack from another infected individual", among other things.

  • Security researchers discovered a kernel vulnerability that can cause lupus, diabetes, and gonorrhoea. According to Ars Technica, the flaw is very similar to CVE-2016-8228, which was released over a month ago to coincide with the release of the Linux Mint Cinnamon theme.

Lupus has been on a roll, according to the FDA Office of Research and Development, with more than 3,000 cases reported since 2004. And while the disease is typically considered chronic, a recent study found that one in four women will develop lupus by the age of 60. That's because the infection, when untreated, can eventually lead to irreversible tissue damage or death.

Gonorrhoea is another nasty disease, and a potentially fatal one. It can cause pain and inflammation, as well as a loss of bladder control and difficulty with urinating.

In a blog post that's worth reading in full, Brian Murphy, director of product security intelligence for Symantec, explains that both of those issues are often confused with lupus when in fact they're different. According to Murphy, "Lupus is a disease where the individual is infected; Gonorrhoea is a disease where there is an infection but no signs that it's a problem. The former affects the skin and mucosal tissue and the latter is caused mostly by a bacteria

  • A propane-powered Gigabit Ethernet switch is currently under development, according to erystein, so the plan is for it to hit the market in 2015.

The Gigabit Ethernet switch is powered by a series of batteries and takes a similar form as a standard switch; though it uses a copper wire and an insulating layer of aluminum instead of the current copper wire to shield against electromagnetic interference. This allows for better performance and, of course, lower costs, Erstein said.

The Gigabit Ethernet switch will also use a new microprocessor based software chip rather than what's used today, but it's not the biggest feature with this model, according to Erstein. It's also lighter and longer lasting than today's Ethernet switch.
