Looks only marginally larger than a typical bologna brick...
Maybe my depth perception's off here. That sign does look very big.
Ah. I was going off the size of the label, which should be like 2"x3" if memory serves.

No, I'm talking about the sign. If you put that much effort into writing 'meat clown', then you're probably displaying it on a larger-than-normal sign, as you would a significant sale.

I'd guess that the pseudobologna would be around 4" in diameter. My local supermarket does something similar, except that's shaped like a cartoon bear head. (Either way, :donotwant:)

Billy Bear. My little sister practically lived on that when she was younger.

NHS England said no-one would be forced to answer the question but recording the data would ensure that "no patient is discriminated against".
It's kind of funny how they can discriminate now when they don't know the sexual orientation. Knowing everyone's orientation will help not discriminate though, especially against gays, right?
-
@boomzilla said in THE BAD IDEAS THREAD:
I would be extremely inclined to answer differently every single time just to keep track how treatment was going.
-
-
@pjh would it be acceptable to just break it into two questions: "at birth, which gender were you assigned" and "currently, which gender do you identify as"? or would asking people "at birth, what gender were you assigned" be too transphobic to even be allowed?
(Rhetorical question.)

They're not saying they don't exist, they just don't want to care about them.

The same thing birthmarks and moles are for. All birthmarks and moles should be indicated on the driver's license because they're just as important and relevant as gender. Lost an arm, or born without one? Put that on there too. Got a cancerous lump? You know the drill. Of course, these are just ideas.

Wouldn't that already be listed under special reservations like e.g. 'glasses required' label for people with bad eyesight?
I imagine people without an arm might be only allowed to drive specially equipped vehicles.

What, is the climate control and entertainment system all voice-controlled?
And I guess you have to just hope that the turn signal/wiper controls/whatever that control stick's called is on the same side of the steering wheel as your one arm is?
-

You don't need to access climate control or the entertainment system in order to operate the vehicle safely. Those are conveniences. Check your privilege please.

If you look like a perfect woman, but happen to have a dick, then the 'M' designation doesn't help anyone. Classification should stay as it is at birth, unless you are trans and have been determined to be passing enough to not be confused for a cis member of your assigned sex, at which point they should allow you to change the listed gender to the opposite one. Anything else is ridiculous.

The few times they'd be used it would be a one and done deal, typically while not in motion anyways.
At least, by observation of other drivers. It seems turn signals are also a luxury, and not a requirement.

I drive a manual. I don't need both hands to do that.

@tsaukpaetra said in THE BAD IDEAS THREAD:

I drive a manual as well. The steering itself can usually be done with just one hand. (The recommendation to keep both hands on the wheel is somewhat sensible though because to be able to steer quickly you'll need both hands and it's difficult to predict ahead of time when that need will suddenly arise.)
However, to drive a car isn't just to steer. When my current relationship started we used to hold hands all the time when driving. (Sadly now it's rare and mostly happens when she thinks I'm pissed at her.)
At low speeds it is quite easy to steer, operate turn signals and change gears with just one hand, but it becomes challenging even at the higher end of city speed limits.I'm not even drunk right now and still writing semi-coherent long posts with no real goal.
