Works great
My girlfriend and I were on the verge of breaking up because I would keep her awake at night with my constant mouse clicking. NOT ANYMORE!
Consider this relationship saved.
This mouse is so silent she will sometimes forget I'm even home and invite her lover over. He's a pretty cool guy.

@hardwaregeek That was safety glass. There were no shards. He hit it hard enough to crack the middle and yank it out of its frame.

I think this what the GTA games based their in-game military surplus websites on:
-
@bb36e also found elsewhere on the site:
Demilitarisation of a licensed army material.
Importing some military equipment, notably the tanks, BMPs (BVP in the Czech classification) and some APC personnel carriers, may require such a vehicle to be demilitarised (decommissioned) to comply with your national legislation prior to exportation. Generally, a demilitarisation consists in breaking the gun lock, firing several holes into the cannon barrel and in some cases piercing holes also into the vehicle's armour. MORTAR INVESTMENTS refills these holes with simple iron. The price of a standard demilitarisation is generally included in the purchase price of your military vehicle.
-
@bb36e Eh, that's perfectly normal. I used to know a guy who bought a BRDM-2 from a company that sells surplus Czech military vehicles:

They even used to have an actual catalog, it was basically an e-shop for old military gear. You could "add to cart" anything between a handgun and a tank. Nowadays I guess you have to call them to get a quote.
I also remember that during one of my first driving lessons years ago I almost got t-boned by an OT-64 that just kinda appeared from a side street and didn't seem to care about right of way. (I probably wouldn't care either if I was driving a 15 ton armored vehicle... plus it's not like you can see out of the thing very well)
Oh and maybe a month ago I spotted a RM-70 on the road pretty much in the middle of my city - the whole thing, armored cab, multiple missile launcher, olive green paint, driver's left hand hanging out the window holding a cigarette... the army got rid of them years ago so it must have been privately owned too. One day I'll buy one as well and drive it to work every day.
-
@blek the gas mileage and repair costs are the real killers for military equipment though.
-
@benjamin-hall Sure, but 122MM MULTIPLE ROCKET LAUNCHER

@blek I regret I only have one like to give this.

But on the flip side, you can park pretty much anywhere you want and nobody's going to complain.

As you all know, O'Reilly puts black and white drawings of animals, insects, etc on their book covers. Usually these are of the charismatic animals variety, although there are also some snakes and spiders and what not.
And then there's the Java Threads book.

If you squint just the right way (and maybe with the right font), it vaguely look like a squatting person (head on the right) with, uh, something behind.

That's a real book cover? I assumed it was shopped.

I must not have the right font, because I haven't found any way to squint at it that makes it look like that. Mostly because the hyphen is much too high in relation to the 4 to make it appear to be coming from the "bottom" of the 4.
