Is there a webpage that doesn't have HTML in it?
Yes !
header("HTTP/1.1 504 OK");

No other language is viable for the Web 3.0 age, to properly utilize synergies of data protection and online presence in the digital communities.
Web 3.0? We must be at 5.0 by now. I can't seem to find the official changelog though.

I hadn't seen such confusion of concepts since the "Python 2 is not Turing complete" guy.
I remember that guy. I also remember what he actually wrote, which was sarcasm that apparently 'd everybody.
His main thesis was essentially, "people say that everyone needs to update from Python 2 to Python 3, because there are things that Python 3 can do that Python 2 simply can't do. But due to Turing equivalence, this can't be true unless Python 2 is not Turing complete."

An Apple-made table that's satisfied with its own existence, obviously.
Cue Marvin, 'Oh god, it's another of those self satisfied tables. I can feel the intolerable air of smugness it suddenly generates when you put anything on it, and the sigh when you remove it again, in the knowledge of a job well done. OH GOD I'M SO DEPRESSED.'

I don't have a home page. I don't even have a home button.
Take me out to sites
Because I want to see pages
And I want to see trolls
Surfing on the web
Oh please don't drop me home
Because it's not my home, it's their home
And I want it no more

@heterodox In Chrome it's even worse; it's got a
<head>
and a<body>
as well.my homepage URL is
data:text/html, <html contenteditable>
Great for when you want to jot stuff down somewhere that you'll almost certainly end up losing it...
-
@anotherusername I just always have Sublime Text open, and since it autosaves its own session I don't have to worry about losing anything. But sometimes I'm sloppy with it so I end up full of tabs that look like this:
untitled
some note blah blah blah blah unrelated jsrf speedrun 1:35:55
-
@hungrier I google things and leave the tab open to remember them.

if it's important i'll not lose it, it it isn't important i'll lose it.

You can send CSS via a Link header (not just a link element), so a 0 byte document can reference a stylesheet.
... that's fucking obscene.
I wanna try that now...

let's play around with some philosophy:
HTML being the easiest programming language kinda makes sense... in a similar way as null being the smallest number.agree? disagree? Awaken your inner Nietzche and let him on a rampage!

nah, that's just comical.
obscene would be to use this to link a 4gigabyte CSS file.

No, because
NULL < x
will never evaluate to true.

Used to be tons that only had enough HTML to get a Flash (or in rare cases, Silverlight) movie to fill the screen.

-
@masonwheeler sort-of-quoted in Do you program in HTML?:

I misread that as “Turding complete”, which seems rather appropriate for Python.
(BTW, I now totally loathe Python's mock objects. Stupid shit they enabled has just cost me a whole day of pure frustration. )

Bingo!
My manager recently started using the term "synergy". It coincided with him writing less and less code and attending more and more meetings.
He's still cool, don't get me wrong. I just find it… funny. :D

There is no changelog. It grows organically. Like your sales, if you properly SEO your web presence for the digital age!

People keep talking about SQL, NoSQL, etc but I do not understand this, html has tables already
Seems like a waste of effort to create another system

The smartass initial author of this chunk of test suite I'm dealing with thought that mocks were the most awesomest thing ever, and used them heavily. You can't refactor a damn thing without breaking the whole mess, and there's parts where some mocks shield others in weird ways. This particular person — who has now moved on to other employment opportunities — was very good at reading about making things “Pythonic” and then only implementing half the guidelines, while leaving out critical things like “Don't Repeat Yourself”… so there's loads and loads of duplicated code, and most of it uses as many tricky Python features as possible. (But not ordinary classes, not if he could help it. )
Lots of smarts but little wisdom makes for maintenance trouble when the code needs to be changed because of updated requirements.
