You really shouldn't spill your fantasies on a tech forum.

So, which is the better Jeff?

@xaade How has he not blocked you yet?

he probably has.
blocking someone on twitter stops you seeing their stuff, it doesn't stop then writing replies.

It also stops them seeing your feed:
and from following you:

Which is why I have a second, read-only, account on twatter that isn't blocked from certain users.

But sometimes Jeff responds to @xaade, so that clearly isn't it …
Maybe only the original tweets are Jeff, and handling the responses is done by someone else?

that sounds like something @end would do.
-
@abarker I hadn't seen that Jeff had responded.
Imagine being the guy responsible for Jeff's Twitter and it's just tweets from @xaade all day.
-
Years and years ago Jeff had a pretty good coding blog, there is code I've stolen from there that been pretty useful. Now he just seems to ramble on for ages about fuck all.
-
@boomzilla I get buried under a bunch of nodding heads.

@xaade Swamp Search?
-
@xaade And the best part is, the current version does have that search.
-
@xaade How would you search the ribbon? Well obviously a text box that's actually a tab that dynamically generates a ribbon segment full of your resultant ribbon buttons.
-
@Tsaukpaetra Should you put the overflow in a drop down?

@boomzilla said in My responses to Jeff's tweets.:
With a headline like that, I was expecting The Onion.

@error They feel it's deep because it is formed from good prose, but they also don't understand it, therefore it must have a deeper meaning.

Yes, I understood and was amused by it. I just don't expect to see a headline like that on a for-serious news site.
Also, didn't realize I was months behind on this thread.

They thought it sounded intelligent, so they figured they'd better publish it.

Dunno. Is this still considered a "drop down"?
MS' answer seems to be "Maybe if you have a group of things more than three, then allow it to drop down, otherwise, put a horizontal scroll button (with no bar) so you can click your way to the next 'page'"
