@blakeyrat False.
This refers to the PulseAudio debacle.
Which you only just now revealed. Classy.
-
@Tsaukpaetra You'd have known about it already if you'd known about it already. It got a lot of press in the computing industry.

@boomzilla Can't help it if people can't remember stuff from years ago, y'know. I figured the quote was enough to trigger recognition, but maybe it's true that people talk about things they haven't actually been following closely for years.

Um, actually, you could include it when you refer to it when you are changing the subject.

Has this ever worked for you?
-
@boomzilla Really depends on external factors, whether something dependent on external factors works. I mistook this for a continuation of the ongoing "Is Linus too much of an asshole" discussion in which the quote is very recognizable, but instead this is merely a pale shadow. Oh well.

Yeah, allegedly... not that you'd really be able to tell by tasting it.

@HardwareGeek I was visiting family this weekend, and my sister wanted to make rolls with ham and cheese inside puff pastry, but all they had was gluten free. It was pretty good, though what isn't, overwhelmed by ham and cheese?
@coderpatsy said in Linux Torvalds finally figures out that he's a jackass:
Onions suck. Oh, I can eat them if they're cooked into a sauce or whatever, but something about the taste and texture of intact onions makes me gag. I have thrown tantrums about the mere idea of onions in green beans.
And as for you, onions are like the best thing ever. Even raw. man.

That's already true for actual tomatoes themselves, at least the supermarket ones compared to the stuff from grandma's garden.

Given that gluten is the thing that makes bread stretchy, it seems somewhat wasted in puff pastry, which is the opposite of that.
-
@boomzilla The pastry also didn't actually puff really... but my point was more that it tasted fine.

Yes. I wasn't a fan.
@anotherusername said in Linux Torvalds finally figures out that he's a jackass:
Then it wasn't crispy enough. Chewy bacon is great to eat all by itself, but on a sandwich it needs to be crispy so you're not trying to chew through it without dragging it all off the sandwich.
I'm not the one who cooked it. I'm not sure I'm willing to go to the effort to cook bacon and a burger just to try it. :)
@anotherusername said in Linux Torvalds finally figures out that he's a jackass:
That's because you're putting the ketchup on wrong. It goes on the fries, not the burger. Dummy.
Ugh. But then you lose all the flavoring in the fries! No, fries only get ketchup when they come flavorless. @MrL had it right.
-

Ketchup drowns out the bacon... ketchup drowns out the fries...
I'm starting to sense a common theme here. Try using less ketchup.

Right, that wasn't the opposite corner. Inverse is when you negate both statements; converse is when you swap the two statements in the if-then structure; contrapositive is when you do both.

I have heard of, but never tried, this:
The wikipedia feature photo does not include the melted cheese which the article does mention.

Original picture looks more like Fries + Stoofvlees saus + mayo then kapsalon ... you can get that combo at any Belgian frietkot that is worth it's salt.
Note that this is just the fast food version of the Flemish classic stew with fries
