@topspin I WASN'T ASKING TO BE PART OF A SCAM

There might also be a way to link the front-page code gobs to their economic harm... seems easier to do with option spreads but maybe could base a negative-value coin on them.

@boomzilla this even being possibly possible has implications, and such. There is nothing so entertaining as a joke run wild.

And here goes the art-world to show that they can still be crazier than your average NFT buyer:

I mean, "high art" has been a money-laundering/tax-evasion scam for decades now, so no surprises here.

Pikachu can't even.

“I knew something was wrong right away because I can see that the screen I use on the desktop and it was blue,” Brian Esselman, a teacher at the school, told Motherboard. “It said some very rude things of course and I realized right away that this was a problem.”
Working on updates 100%?

Apparently decent money for these people while it lasts.

Decentralized finance project Beanstalk Farms suffered one of the largest-ever flash-loan exploits on Sunday, sending its price tumbling.
The credit-focused, Ethereum-based stablecoin protocol suffered a total loss of around $182 million and the attacker got away with around $80 million of crypto tokens, according to blockchain security firm PeckShield, which had flagged the incident on Twitter. The project’s native token BEAN fell about 75% from its $1 peg against the dollar, pricing from CoinGecko showed.
Unlike traditional lending, which requires a loan to be secured with a collateral or credit checks, DeFi smart contracts allow users to borrow huge sums of stablecoins in what are known as flash loans, without any form of security. Flash loans, where the entire process of borrowing and returning the loan happens in a single transaction on the blockchain, are fairly popular among arbitrage traders.

"Yes, hello this is Mr. Apple please give me all of your passwords."
I’m always saying this, but for a bunch of guys that pretend to know what the future of technology looks like, they are incredibly easily deceived with the most basic, cookie cutter fraud schemes
-
@LaoC It's even better than that. The attackers didn't have to phish for the wallet private key; they got access to iCloud, which automatically gave them the wallet key backed up by the app.

Still they only got ugly monkeys.
At least when celebs have their iCloud stolen, there’s better pictures.

And:
edit: As I scroll down, I'm finding some more good ones...
Incredible. This reminds me of the time a scammer spoofed my own number. When I saw it was me calling I knew I could trust them so I gave them the keys to my house. Now I’m homeless.

@Applied-Mediocrity The whole ape idiocy aside, am I the only one annoyed at those moron's pathological incapability of understanding proper prefixes?

3 millimeter dollar. So a 3mm stack of dollars?
-
@Carnage One 1-dollar bill is about 0.010922 cm thick, so that would be $27.

@Rhywden One wooden nickel is 1/8 in or 3.175 mm.

Or two pennies, being 3.04mm stacked. Seems pretty accurate for the value of NFTs too.

No.

In finance, mm and MM mean the numbers are presented in millions of $WHATEVER.

I'm idly wondering where the stress in that sentence goes:
is it: "Musk bought Twitter, not the Treasury"
or rather: "Musk bought Twitter, not the Treasury"
-
@ixvedeusi Well, if the Treasury bought Twitter, it would become subject to the full protection of the First Amendment, not a private company that is free to ignore it. So I suspect, as much as it doesn't like being bought by Musk, it really wouldn't like being bought by the Treasury.

@Gribnit That doesn't really look like a musk ox, try instead.

@Atazhaia only if you promise to always be talking about musk in some fashion.

More money than sense indeed.
Most trading on OpenSea during this period was for the much-anticipated Otherside land deeds, which sell for around 5 ETH ($13,500) plus gas. However, some people oddly continued to buy and sell cheaper NFTs, including one person who bought a 0.1 ETH ($275) NFT and paid $3,850 in transaction fees.
So, paying 14 times the value of the token to be able to buy the token. Someone is VERY optimistic that that particular token is gonna increase in price...

Well, they are. However, they’re not fundamentally built on being slow and way too expensive, so there’s that.

a lotta yall still dont get it
ape holders can use multiple slurp juices on a single ape
so if you have 1 astro ape and 3 slurp juices you can create 3 new apes
Tonight's slurp juice mint event is essentially a minting event for both Lab Monkes and Special Forces
