Fun fact: When I got my colour palette I was declared a Sunset Summer (if memory serves, I'd have to unarchive and that might take a bit if anyone was actually interested).

I had no idea you were a palettized sprite... How many colors do you use?
(seriously: what does "got my colour palette" mean?)
-
@Zerosquare I can answer that; my ex-wife was very into that. Based on your hair and skin colors, certain colors of clothing, makeup (if applicable) and such look good on you and others don't. "Getting your color palette" means having someone like my ex-wife look at your hair and skin and tell you what colors look good and what don't. People with similar hair and skin colors look good in the same colors, and these are grouped into "seasons". For example, people with light hair with reddish or golden shades (e.g., redhead, golden blond or strawberry blond) are called "Spring" and light hair without red or gold (e.g., platinum blond) is in the "Summer" group. However, this is the first time I have heard that associated with a modifier like "sunset".

I only know warm versus cool. I'm cool and have red undertones (also a bit of rosacea). So golden and brassy blondes do not look good on me.

@Zerosquare I don't know if it's real wood, but you can see some of the very dark table top at the left edge of the picture (would be the bottom if the picture were right-side-up), and if you look closely, you can see that it has a wood-grain texture.

Fortunately, I'm not allergic to typing.
Summer belongs to the order of the earth. It is important to have organization. The beauty of the Summer men is they have neatness as base to operate from. Part of their personality is to enjoy the order of the earth, for feeling responsible for putting order into everything. If they have not been conditioned by their family, they must start fresh with an understanding than order is the first law of heaven and without it they can become ill. It distracts them so much that they don't even realize they are confused.
Summers do better in a quiet area than near a roaring ocean. Lakes, trees and flowers are very likely to be restful. Summers appreciate the quality of a smooth lagoon or lake or in a canoe somewhere where there are trees and flowers. There is a natural tendency to seek quiet and stillness. Summer men get their message across with grace, deliberation, and the ease with which they work. Not by force. It is important for Summers to pace their energy level by taking a few minutes during a busy day to quiet their mind and regenerate the thinking. One needs to learn not to try to keep up with extremely fast-paced people.
Gentlemanly men of the Summer type have adroit capacities for handling business affairs. Their ability to use indirection adds to their skills. Their composure under stress situations, their capacity for negotiations and the mediation of difficult matters are some of their significant contributions. Philosophical and psychological matters interest them. They often enter professions that call for intensive research, accurate and precise equations. They are adept at preparing professional papers, legal or political briefs, or trade materials. They excel in elaborate paper work and program planning, and also make good accounting authorities.
On the other hand, they may be led by their intuitive natures into artistic pursuits. They may be the poets, writers, musicians, composers, and artists who function on a creative level and yet easily participate in both worlds.
SUNSET SUMMER MEN
These are the chocolate brown men. They often have dark brown hair, almost like velvet. They tend to have full cheeks. These men are affectionate, charming and great romanticists. They express their feelings well. These men probably would not go into selling of hard goods, such as farm machinery. It would be more native for them to be musicians or poets. Pavarotti, the great international opera star, is an example of this group of men. Timing is very important to these men. They don't want to be shoved or pushed. They like everything to fall into place easily without a lot of strain. There is tremendous strength in their gentleness.

Fashion and Color CoordinatorDear Color Harmony Enthusiast:
The color Harmony Palette you have received is a reflection of your own unique coloring. This palette, which utilizes and extends your own personal pigmentation found in your eyes, hair, and skin color, will be a powerful tool in selecting an appropriate wardrobe, home furnishings, paint colors, cosmetics, jewelry, and a myriad of other uses.As you may know, I am a protégé of Suzanne Caygill, the founder of the Academy of Color and originator of the Theory of Color Harmony. The theory is based on the truism that Nature is the supreme artist and therefore the earth with her flora and fauna are a perfect example of color harmony. Therefore each indivisual bears within them a perfect color harmony that is uniquely keyed to one of the four seasons.
May I suggest that you quietly ponder your palette purely in terms of color and color harmonies. Please do not try to relate certain colors with unpleasant events or feelings from your past. Make your colors a positive part of your being â over time you will be able to effectively use your colors to project your seasonal individuality.
Personal consultations on Color, interior decorating, cosmetics, and wardrobe (for both men and women) are available upon request. Gift certificates are also available for any occasion.
It was a pleasure to introduce you to the wonders and possibilities of Color. I sincerely hope you will take the time to let your palette become a comfortable friend that can transport you to new levels of self-confidence and adventure.
Colorfully yours,

HOW TO USE YOUR COLOR HARMONY PALETTE â MASCULINE
The Color Harmony Palette is designed so that every Color will coordinate with every other Color.
The Color Harmony Palette is intended for life-time use. Your palette is composed of (10) major categories. An explanation of each category and their suggested uses follows:FLESH TONE: The Flesh Tone is the most important color of your Palette, as all other colors are developed from this hue. Purchasing apparel, slacks, jackets, shirts, ties, hats, overcoats in this color assures you that it will coordinate, mix/match or blend with every other garment in your wardrobe. Utilizing carpets, wallpapers, and woods, wood paneling or simulated woods in tonations of this harmony create a background appropriate to you and the other colors utilized for your interiors. The Flesh Tone is considered a blender.
FOUNDATION: Foundations are the neutrals in your Palette. This represents a suit color and should be purchased in the same tones from light to dark with varying textures. One suit should be selected as conservative and long-lasting, durable and expensive as can be afforded. Accessories such as shoes, belts, wallets, brief cases, luggage, etc. belong in this color.
FOUNDATION II: Is primarily planned for business wear and for suburban or commuter life. It combines more easily with casual apparel. The shoes for these suits could be high fashion, utilizing buckles, suede, patent, cloth (denim) and woven leathers. This color should be softer and more informal in its manner, not so strict in cut and among the soft surfaces utilized for example, cashmere. Accessories also come from this color.
ARTISTIC: The Artistic is intended primarily for out-of-doors or rural life. The combination of jackets and trousers and sport jackets with extra slacks offer a more relaxed appearance suitable to some professions and should dominate the wardrobe of contractors, builders, draftsmen, etc.
ELEMENTAL: The Elemental Color is taken from the eyes and intensifies the color as much as possible. All tints and tones of this color may be worn in shirts, ties, suits, sweaters, etc.; also effective choice for automobiles, walls, in offices, draperies carpets, etc.
ACCENT: This is the most flattering color to your skin and therefore the most masculine color on your Palette. It should be worn in dinner jackets, knit suits, sweaters, parkas, ski clothes, sport logs, hunting jackets, etc. Also the color could be used in leather for office or library, study or den. The color of courage â use it for your car if you dare.
TRANQUIL: This is the kindest and quietest quality of color for your personality. It may even seem bright to you, but loses its intensity as you wear it. Excellent for the "soft sell" or subtle situations. This color is friendly, unobstrusive and kind. Use it for suits, for the sun and beach, as well as on the water, for cruise or yacht wear.
ENERGY: This color will dramatize or intensify your coloring by contrast. Ties, dinner jackets, accents in a room, graphic or art work for an office or building, flooring tiles, mosaics, stained glass, decorative fabrics for draperies. This color should be woven through other colors, as in tweeds, brocades, etc. for a man's chair.
SOFT: Tints taken from the tones hues on your Palette appear in this square for use in your shirts. They should be varied in texture, including madras, broadcloth, pattern-on-pattern, embroidery, stripes, plaids and checks. Dinner shirts and formal wear may be purchased in these pastels also.
MAGNA: Magna Colors strengthen the wardrobe and home; adding another texture. This category should be used for the background in jewelry, eye glasses accessories in the home and interior, such as lighting fixtures, picture frames and trays.
