Thanks. I learned a new word today.

No idea about the original context, but ...
From Wikipedia:
A nonholonomic system in physics and mathematics is a physical system whose state depends on the path taken in order to achieve it. Such a system is described by a set of parameters subject to differential constraints and non-linear constraints, such that when the system evolves along a path in its parameter space (the parameters varying continuously in values) but finally returns to the original set of parameter values at the start of the path, the system itself may not have returned to its original state. Nonholonomic mechanics is autonomous division of Newtonian mechanics.[1]

Call me jaded, but the difference in style clearly suggests to me that the last sentence was added by some students of Soltakhanov et al. just to add this reference.
Also confession time: I actually used the phrase "nonholonomic constraint" in my dissertation, but still had to look it up because I didn't remember WTF that means. (Posh wording for saying the constraint was of the form f(x, t) ≥ 0 instead of f(x, t) = 0.)

Ah, a nonholonomic constraint. Did I ever tell you I'm an ad, or for what?

Heuristics detected this quite some time ago. Processing still required to determine the "for what" property, though.

I am never forget the day I am given first original paper to write. It was on analytic and algebraic topology of locally Euclidean metrization of infinitely differentiable Riemannian manifold. Bozhe moi!

Well yes, it IS spam. Microsoft has been spamming me for months, ever since I created that email account.
But what is the point of Microsoft spamming me if their own email system deletes it.

Status: Trying to look up the holiday hours for a local grocery store
I had to find my location, save my preferred store, and then go to the page again to see details about it. It's not my fucking fault I have to click around so much to find what I need.
Or, maybe the problem is that I navigated their labyrinth too quickly

My wife got our oldest one of those GPS cell phone watch things. When I go to activate the device by going to gabb.com/activate I get this:
I have literally never accessed this page before. My wife has, but not from my computer. So I have to assume that they are pulling this in from our IP address.
Whatever. There is no way to create another "Guardian Account" on their website. It has to be done on the app. Dumb.
So I figure that out, add my contact info and it sends me an invite. I literally cannot create an account from my computer. It can only be done via the app. Seriously.
How do developers allow things to become this dumb? You should either allow a person to create an account via the app or website or the more sane option if you are going to only support one option is to just do it via the website........which you could also do via the browser on your mobile device.
It used to be that apps either had all the same shit that was available on the website or they had a subset of options. Now things are reversed and they are forcing us to do things via tiny shitty screens on touchscreen devices.
-
Wait. Your wife bought an IoT device? Have you no shame?!
-
@Zerosquare in my defense the child she purchased it for got my ADHD and memory, but worse, so a GPS enabled watch where we can track him seems like a great idea. He is fucking brilliant, but also has a lot of the traits of an elderly person with Alzheimer's.
Seriously, his IQ is probably a dozen points above mine but just the other day he remarked about how many big houses are in our neighborhood. We moved here in June. Insanely intelligent, no spatial awareness. At his age I could go into the wilderness and keep my bearings well enough to get back home. He could probably get lost a block from our house.

Remember when the most efficient way to access things on Windows was to hit and then start typing what you needed and then Enter to complete?
Those were the fucking days.
In other news, either our remote support software is fucked for now or Server 2019 is shitting itself or maybe both, because I am unable to type out the new user's name. I literally have to type it locally into a text editor, copy it and then send the clipboard keystrokes.

The only method to backup table storage is to utilise the AzCopy utility. Specifically, version 7.3 as later versions do not support table storage service.
Why the mightly flying fuck did they remove it? That's retarded, that's retarded (– R.E.Tarded).
-
@Polygeekery Usually + app name works fine for me, but I apparently when one of the search backend fails, the whole thing might lock itself up … I think someone showed me that it didn't work simply when they were not connected to any network or somethinglikethat.

Well, the bing results usually come in about 30 seconds before the local results. So, if even that times out, it seems reasonable to not even try local...

@Zecc Windows just becomes more and more shit every single day. How bad could it get before they actually started bleeding market share? If they did, I cannot even think of a viable alternative.

CapitalismWindows is the worsteconomicoperating system, except for all of the others.

BostonRedmond is terrible.I.e. colleague here just ranted what a pile of manure is Power Automation—he was fixing some workflows that used identity of the guy that created them and left the company and he had to tear most of it down and re-create it and it still kept pulling the wrong connections from some damned caches. And don't get me started on what pile of manure is Azure.

@Polygeekery the last good Windows was 7. I may have problems with either macOS or Linux sometimes (the latter mostly related to our RH from the stone age being simply too old for almost everything), but none of them are as shit as Windows.
The only reason to have Windows is that deployment is easier and customers want Windows anyway. Oh, and to run Office, Teams and the rest of those abominations.Nowadays the menu doesn't even popup sometimes.
And doesn't close, either. Sometimes the shit is so slow, I open the start menu, click Firefox, it doesn't react immediately and doesn't close, so I click it 3 more times. Then Firefox opens 4 times. This definitely used to be not this retarded back in the day...

Because that was before they rewrote everything to MetroⓈ (orwhateveritscalled).
I may have problems with either macOS or Linux sometimes (the latter mostly related to our RH from the stone age being simply too old for almost everything), but none of them are as shit as Windows.
It does not help that Canonical prefers GnomeⓈ and UnityⓈ (orwhattheatcrappyshelltheywroteiscalled). There are more reliable desktop environments for Linux.
The only reason to have Windows is that deployment is easier and customers want Windows anyway.
I don't think that deployment is easier, but central administration is, by large margin. Central administration is what companies want and Microsoft provides while Linux vendors are way behind with it (Canonical has something, but it's quite limited compared to the Windows tools).
Oh, and to run Office, Teams and the rest of those abominations.
Teams work on Linux just as well as on Windows (being a web app wrapped in Electron) and the web version of the rest of Office is usable too. Most people don't really need much beyond the web browser these days.
Nowadays the menu doesn't even popup sometimes.
And doesn't close, either. Sometimes the shit is so slow, I open the start menu, click Firefox, it doesn't react immediately and doesn't close, so I click it 3 more times. Then Firefox opens 4 times. This definitely used to be not this retarded back in the day...
That was before Microsoft fully embraced the (de)mentality.
