Let me introduce you to Muskrat Love:

That song was in the top 20 for months. (And no, it's not just aged badly... even by 70s standards that song is fucking awful.)

WorldDiscourse Class support! My users get an error when they make a full Chinese post
Oh, yeah, we auto disable that check when there's a Chinese language forum, but you have a Chinese category on an English forum, that's different. Just change this setting for post validation.
Great!
Still getting the same error, changed that setting and the related setting for titles.

Fair enough. But a week cannot go by without me hearing Toto's Africa on the radio to this day. And I only listen to the radio when in the car! And the one station I listen to when I'm driving is not the one that plays that kind of music!
So, I cannot avoid it to this day, even though the only way for me to hear it is to be in a car with someone else driving.
Maybe people here are just weird in yet another way...

"Body seems unclear, is it a complete message?"
What the fuck kind of check is that, the discourse reverse Turing test where it decides what you're allowed to post and what not?
Who thought that is agoodsane idea?

Yes, I had to point that out, because it seems their dialogs are as senseless as ever, still.

Well, if you turn to the Book of Discogenesis, Chapter 2....The Book of Discogenesis said:
47And lo, His High Holiness looked out once more into the Uncivilized Wasteland of the Internet, and his eyes fell upon Twitch chat. 48"It gives me great pains to see such barbarism, with mindless spam that merely repeats small words or phrases!" he declared. 49"We must make sure to civilize the discourse, and enforce complete sentences!" 50And so the Intern scoured GitHub, in search of a library to ensure civilized sentences. 51After forty paid hours and forty hours working on his own time, the Intern stumbled on the StackOverflow answer. 52All complete sentences had sufficient entropy that they would be considered a strong password. 53And thus the Intern wired up a password entropy checker, and the Koala reviewed the code and confirmed their test sentence passed, and His High Holiness declared it Good. 54The planning meeting and the retro, the fifteenth sprint.

@loopback0 WHAT THE FUCK IS A
SONICSTAGED USER?
-
@Onyx If a user emails a reply to a topic but the email address doesn't match any registered users so it creates a Staged user, I think?
EDIT: from the DiscoDocs.
Staged
A special placeholder account which is created automatically by the system for email integrationNo email digests are ever sent
Automatically watches all messages it participates in and receives notifications of replies
May reply via email to notifications
Username and Name are automatically picked
Account may still register with the same email and “take over” the staged account.
Forgot password will do nothing …when you attempt to send a password reset to a staged account
Storage: staged field in users table

I went to meta.derp to read that. (I feel dirty.) It took probably about 20 seconds for the page to load, much of that waiting for something (CDN?) called fastly.com. It would seem that fastly is less than fast.

… and if you keep doing that to paying customers, they'll take their benefit to you elsewhere. Or sue. Depends how pissed off they get.

Someone should rewrite @anotherusername 's script for Discourse, and start dumping deleted Meta.d posts on a website somewhere.

What happened to mobile then? Last time I used it you could only use radio, you couldn't play specific songs.

From trying it just now, it looks like you can shuffle play from an artist or playlist. I think for about a minute they swapped it completely, where you could play specific songs and albums/playlists in order, but no radio or shuffle, and now it seems they've gone with the most barebones version.

Then a committee is formed to select a program manager who will select a programmer to initiate a fork to create a module for implementing the functionality and then pass on the code to another programmer selected to write unit test by another program manager selected by the committee to then be pull requested by another programmer selected by a different program manager to follow up with the NodeBB plugin repository management committee to have it listed in the NodeBB plugin repository, after which a petition is made to WTDWTF Admins to clone the new plugin and enable it during the next update.
Simple!

I really miss title abuse, but fucking hell, it made it difficult to keep track of which thread was which, because the names always fucking changed.
