@Boner If this wasn't the funny stuff thread, I'd write a long rant about how wrong both tweets are.

ピカチュウスタンガン完成

Pikachu stun gun completed
Everyone's likely to come up with story, but I made on your own because it does not see a person that actually work.
Pikachu rake of the material of the Mac bonus, lightning mosquito racket, high voltage generator, the nails, the lithium-ion batteryI would agree, few persons actually work.

There's no way the link in the tweet will be unblocked considering most of the tweet is, but the text 'pikachu stun gun' at the start is likely all I need.

It's ok; it happens to everybody once in a while. Get some sleep, and we can try again in the morning.

@dse One of my customers did that and it's probably going to come back to bite them. Our product runs on Progress--you can think of it like a Java app for the purposes of this discussion. They are upgrading Progress, and bought several ocmponents from us, then, bizarrely, bought one directly from Progress. Progress requires that you buy a copy for each application using it, so they may be unable from a licensing perspective to use the component they didn't buy from us with our app.

Funny stuff: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/oldnewthing/20160819-00/?p=94125
Someone--I guess a Rust dev--complained about a Windows feature they were using that, it turns out, they shouldn't have, and ended his comment with "Thanks, Microsoft." Microsoft employee's response: "Let me get this straight. You intentionally invoked undefined behavior, and now you’re upset that the undefined behavior isn’t undefined in the way that you like, and somehow that’s Microsoft’s fault."
-
@FrostCat Must be new to the company. Everyone knows everything is Microsoft's fault!

That's entirely wrong. It's always the user's fault. You read the @FrostCat post, and the Microsoft employee's response. All Windows behavior is intentionally undefined: if you use it, you're using it wrong.

Raymond Chen? Not hardly. He was being sarcastic.
Go read the comments, they're pretty funny. Even other people point out this guy's being unreasonable.

@FrostCat He is trying to compensate for the lack of
futex
in Windows, and frankly usingcannot

is ambiguous. It should have beenmust not
to be clear about the intent.

That's only what they thought they were buying. If they read the other guys proposal they would realize that there is no boat, no container, and the cheaper option is just dumping all their shit straight in the sea.

To be fair, that's generally quite a cheap option.

Some of the goods may float away. Some other will collect them for "nothing". That is not good. :P

Until you get caught doing it. Then it tends to get quite expensive.
