@Tsaukpaetra most hotel inkeeper laws make you show and ID in the us. I used to be front desk agent. They take a photo copy and keep it on file. So unless hes rolling fake credentials they just put it down. However there are enough shady places he just screwed up by choosing the wrong place.... Or was a dick to front desk agent.

Self-deprecating humor is the best. It's too bad I suck at it.

Pumping at work is a little weird.
Although pumping at home is a little weird when the doorbell rings and it is UPS with a package you were expecting. Quickly turn off the pump; pull shirt over attachments, only stick your head around the door. Then he asks how is the baby?
Please just let me sign and put the package down.
ETA: Pumpin' ain't easy.

I refuse to put much effort into fixing friends and families computers. My husband not so much.
My father-in-law is a Luddite. Doesn't have a cell phone, doesn't use an ATM card, etc.
My husband, gets old computers when they are replaced at his job and finally convince my FIL to take one.
After awhile, he calls my husband to tell him he got a virus at one of those Christian chat sites.
Husband didn't think anything of it and wanted to fix the the problem. I said to him, "Christian chat site**...uh-huh."
Took him a few seconds, then he laughed.
**It was porn, of course it was porn.
-
@Karla I think the process for installing/setting up computers for relatives now has to include an ad blocker. Anti-virus, maybe not so much.

Yeah, I keep reminding my husband, he does not need to be 24/7 tech support for anyone who doesn't pay him.
Me, on the other hand...I pay...in other ways.

Well, he's her husband, so... I'm sure they have agreed on some kind of fair exchange rate.

They had ATM cards in the mid 80s. Tell F-I-L to join the 20th Century already.

McDonald's of New Zealand learned nothing from "Boaty McBoatface":

Could also go into the Bad Ideas thread:
So, you have a Satire magazine which sells this sticker, advertising it as "saving time at security check-ins, no more worrying about your luggage being blown to pieces if you forget it at the railway station... This sticker is the bomb!"
And you actually slap that sticker onto your luggage.
The TSA-equivalent in Indonesia was not amused.

@Rhywden I want a supply of 300x300x40mm concrete pavers with this painted on top:

Endless fun would ensue from leaving them lying about in busy thoroughfares.

He visits Christian chat sites on the internet. What more do you want?
He likes going to the teller. He, unlike myself, likes to talk to people.

They ran one of those here last year. The 10 creations with the most likes went to the grand final - after filtering.

after filtering.
Were any of the ten finalists in the top 10 of unfiltered submissions?
-
@FrostCat No idea, I only noticed there'd been a contest after the winner turned up on the menu. I never tried it, cause I'm not fond of egg.

Whoever's running Hillary's Twitter feed needs to stop trying to taunt Donald. This is not the first time she's tried to zap him only to have him hit her wannabe-fastball out of the park.
ETA: Might be fake--no timestamps. I scanned back 3-4 days of his timeline and didn't see that post, not that that's any kind of exhaustive analysis.
-
@FrostCat If that is real, it's one of the only good tweets that has ever been posted.

Also, isn't that exchange missing the "Verified Identity" checkmarks?
-
@Magus it doesn't seem to be real. but she did tell him to get off twitter.
-
@bb36e Ah, then twitter still doesn't have a good enough reason to exist. A shame, really.
-
A bit surprised Donald himself didn't say that.
-
@FrostCat He kinda did.

Actual source of this. It's dead-easy on the internet to attribute work like this and give credit to the actual writers, but no. Easier to just post horrible blurry JPEGs.

@blakeyrat I just relayed the link I got. I don't like the image thing either but I buttumed it's from something printed given the way it looks.
Also, I'm too lazy to look shit up for every joke I get linked to.
