@dangeRuss I support this idea.

@dcon I saw this on Facebook but the top comment when I saw it was 'can someone explain why this is funny to me, I don't get it' and immediately closed the app, out of disgust.

Facebook ... immediately closed the app, out of disgust.
Yes, of course, but why open it in the first place?
-
@HardwareGeek because I've stopped using Twitter and I'm in need of some dopamine. But the withdrawal pangs are fading.

I didn't click on it so I avoided any comments!

Sounds like someone who likes cricket and thinks that digital watches are a pretty neat idea.
-
-
@dkf well, DNA himself did like cricket and did think digital watches were a pretty neat idea, but at the same time... who'd be a fan of a H2G2 page on Facebook and not get the 2 most blatant H2G2 references in the same image?
-

You get dopamine from Twitter...? Or Facebook?!?!
-
@Tsaukpaetra yes and yes, though less in the latter.
I also got called a crayon-muncher on Twitter last week, that was interesting. Some people don't understand how the world works. (I mean, neither do I, but I do try to think about what I'm saying before I say it.)
-
@Arantor said in The Official Funny Stuff Thread™:
crayon-muncher
Someone thought you were a US Marine?
-
@Benjamin-Hall no but someone thought I was a total idiot for making buttumptions about the UK govt's shenanigans. I'd go into detail but honestly and I can't be fucked to have the debate again even if people here might apply some thought to it.

Is it wind or I can hear from here @DogsB squirming in his four leaf clover jammies?

Cricket isn't a sport and I have an analogue clock face on my apple watch! As the Warthog intended!

More thought than the guy who called me a crayon muncher at least. At least the folks here would have a coherent argument that isn't literally just trusting the UK government to rule specifically in their interests.
-
@Arantor said in The Official Funny Stuff Thread™:

You don't spend much time in the , do you?
-
@HardwareGeek I wonder why that is, after being assured it wasn’t like I expected only to find it was exactly like I expected.
But still I think it would have been a more coherent argument than being told to eat crayons.
-
@Arantor From most of us, yes. dangeRuss, not so much. And telling someone to eat crayons would be a big step up for Gribnit; I muted him a long time ago because just trying to parse any meaning from the gibberish he posted gave me headaches.

Depends on what your "system" is. If it's an Android phone, IME they're true.
You are not forced to go to YouTube
To "go" there, no, but the YouTube app is indeed forcibly installed on your system.
Removing it simply involves deleting a bookmark from your browser.
You can't (at least on all non-jailbreaked phones I've had) entirely remove the YouTube app, the best you can do is disable it.
-
@remi the app is removable on iOS. I don’t think it’s even installed by default.
-
@Arantor which is why I said "Android phone."
-
@Arantor said in The Official Funny Stuff Thread™:

No worries, we can call you a crayon muncher without having any clue what it was about no problem!
-
@remi yes, I was just adding the other side of the fence because this group is reasonably anti-Apple…
-
Oh look, funny stuff:

@Arantor said in The Official Funny Stuff Thread™:

I'll trust any government to act in its own interest. But I do not think that is what you mean.
-
@PleegWat correct.
People trusting their government to look out for the little people is the funniest shit I’ve heard all year to date. And I’m the crayon muncher.

Nothing. That’s not a term for that over here anyway.
