Is this a joke like "whats a greek urn?"

What's a "shoe liner?"
A lining for a shoe, used where a shoe is slightly too large (because a shoe that slips can cause great pain). I guess they'd be used by people who have feet that are different in size, which is a fairly common thing I gather.
-
So a panty-liner would be, er....
-
-
-
That's the typical user's way of handling interfaces: it's mechanically of about the same size, and I can push it in with a medium-sized mallet, so it fits.
-
eeeh..... sounds to me more like something you might encounter at a disco festival....
Yes. I was thinking along the lines of Disco Duck.
-
I wonder if Munroe ever comes here ...
-
A USB plug will fit pretty well into the Ethernet jack...

Then why would they come in pairs?
-
I think that would actually be a pretty cool way of doing a docking station in a car... Except for how quickly phones change and cars don't...
-
Wireless charging + NFC? Might be able to make it work...

It may be a cheap shot, but it's hammers.
I like hammers.

I wonder if the person who wrote that realizes he defined Windows 7 as losing features.
-
I doubt it, since said person is made of tinfoil, judging by the cameras and satellite dishes.

I wonder if the person who wrote that realizes he defined Windows 7 as losing features.
Probably yes. For example the UAC message before every single action that maybe perhaps might be able to change any of the system settings. And games like Purble Place and Ink Ball.

And games like Purble Place and Ink Ball.
Games have no reason to need UAC elevation, with one exception: installing dependencies. And even then, it should be the installers that are elevated, not the game.

I meant "from Vista", not in an absolute sense.
I got that.
And I mentioned the abundance of UAC dialogs as one of the features of Vista that got lost in Windows 7.

Well the whole sidebar gadget thing from Vista got kiboshed...

silly hedgehog, they use the great wall!

Since Cloud storage is the
not so new Internet hype. With some fonts I have difficulties to distinguish "cl" and "d".

But Common Lisp is nothing like D!
-
And there I thought they were hidden in the clouds…
No! That would be silly. They hide them in women's handbags under the kitchen sinks and lead ingots.

Well the whole sidebar gadget thing from Vista got kiboshed...
Not right away. They were available in 7 for a few years, until the official source was shut down because of security raisins.

Actually, one of my cow-orkers still on Win7 just today told me that the weather widget stopped working a couple months ago. For some reason she waited until now to ask me about it.

"Conversation" with my kids yesterday:
Me (to my eldest daughter): Be nice to your sister. You've only got one!
Younger sister: Because it is much worse if you have more kid sisters!
... I've said it before. That little imp is going to go far.

Happened to me too. Interestingly, 2 different machines stopped at different times - about 2 weeks apart

I'm still on Win 7 and I have a still installed weather widget that is still functional. If I uninstalled it now, I'd lose it. The only thing that is broken now is the link to severe weather alerts, which takes me to an outdated URL.

I use my phone for navigation so I wouldn't consider a dock that completely hides the phone cool.
