TIL the flag of the state of Washington is a picture of the seal of the state of Washington. And the seal of the state of Washington is a picture of George Washington. Being the state flag, it's on display inside the state assembly's chamber next to the national flag, both hung on the wall by their short sides.
I was trying to focus on this video but was too distracted by the sideways president.

don't know the proper terminology, you're welcome to make pendantic corrections
They use the same names as the federal government and some other states, House of Representatives and (State) Senate.

Washington was in an episode of the 1966 Batman TV series. He stuck his head out of the window of a building Batman and Robin were climbing up on their bataropes or whatever they called them and had a short piece of dialogue that had nothing to do with the episode's main story.

That was an actor. George Washington's brother, to be exact. President Washington himself can't stand to be filmed.

Some 8 years ago, had a small traffic accident. I did not bother to straighten the slightly bent registration number plate of my Toyota Corolla. Repair cost of the Audi I hit: 1035 Euros.
Fuck you, Audi!
Advantage by crap. And if you were a bit more honest you'd have posted as to what had actually to be replaced or repaired. You probably hit the parking sensors or similar.
Do you want to tell me I was not Honest? Shame on you.
How much information do you get from your insurance company when they show you for how much the case was settled? Fucking nothing, just the sum. I am not a car expert, and did not see any items visibly broken.

Plus, there's the "those parts are only rated for one impact incident" aspect.

I had a friend who put 8GB RAM in his PC and then installed Windows XP 32-bit. It was around 2013.

Clearly you need 32 GB ram to run 32 BIT windows.

With the PAE segmented RAM thingy nobody ever got to work?
Probably not.

@topspin PAE is only relevant over 4GB. XP can barely do 3, and by default only uses 2.

TIL "I beg your pardon" is much older than I thought.
Also TIL people used to mean it literally.
This is both interesting and annoying as I was trying to determine using Google Ngram Viewer whether there could be a time period in which people would've used that idiom with "thy" instead of "your".Also "lord" should be capitalized.
-
@Gąska said in The Official Funny Stuff Thread™:

Could refer to actual lordlessness vs godlessness. Allowed. Stop objecting to perfecturlarly cromulent English usage.

This is both interesting and annoying as I was trying to determine using Google Ngram Viewer whether there could be a time period in which people would've used that idiom with "thy" instead of "your".Shakespeare used it as an imperative - and AFAIK it was only literally initially. Other than that the whole thing is more an All-Your-Base level fake Middle/Early Modern English. "Sayeth" is not an imperative, "beseech" is a terrible translation for "dare" …
