False. There were no grizzlies clawing and biting the dancers into small pieces.

Psht. I never wear a hat other than 3D-printed open-source hats. Although, I would purchase a blue hat with white text saying "Make Me A Sandwich", for at least the next year.

She's his stepdaughter, not his daughter-in-law.
It's a bit more complicated.I marry the single mother with an adult daughter and adopt the daughter. My father marries my daughter, so he is now my son-in-law and my daughter is my stepmother. Now my wife has a son who is my father's brother-in-law and thus my uncle. My father's wife who is my stepmother and my daughter also has a son who is my brother and my grandson. My wife is my grandmother because she's my stepmother's mother. So I'm both my wife's husband and her step-grandson, therefore, my own grandfather.

It's a bit more complicated. This reminds me of the real-life story of Bill Wyman, former bass player of The Rolling Stones. When Bill was 54 he married a girl who was 18. Then, Bill's son married the girl's mother (they were both in their 30s).
So, Bill Wyman's daughter-in-law (his son's wife) was also his mother-in-law (his wife's mother).
Bill's wife was his son's step-mother and step-daughter.
I think.

is there a stepgrandfather? there seems to be a lack of terms for some of these relations, surprising in a nation containing Texas.

I've struggled with a term to call my big kids' mother in relation to my daughter. I'm their step-mother, they can refer to me as something.
Options:
- my siblings' mother (if people don't know her siblings are half siblings that then requires additional explanation)
- my dad's first wife (I think this down plays her involvement in my daughter's life--at the very least because she is her siblings' mother)
We've settled with Titi (Auntie) which we also use with any close female adult.
That caused some confusion when she started school, are her brothers actually her cousins?
Then there is her husband and a "stray" she picked-up. He's lived with them for years and in his 20s. He's a good kid and my daughter loves him but there has to be some co-dependent relationship between him and my husband's ex.
We don't see the ex's husband much, but the kid (Z) will do holidays, birthdays, and the beach with us.
One day we were packing up the cars to go to the beach:
Is Z related to us?
Not by blood but by love. And then I threw up in my mouth.
-
@Karla yeah, "Aunt" and "Uncle" mostly work for kids, but frustrate genealogy. And I really need to find another surviving male-line descendant of a certain idiot before a certain astrological event.

If your grandfather dies and your grandmother re-marries (or divorce/re-marry), wouldn't that be a step-grandfather?
We actuslly had that problem at work once. A person's grandfather died so they took time off work, with pay, per company policy for "Funeral Leave".
A couple of years later, the person's grandmother re-married. A couple of years after that, the grandmother's new husband died. The employee applies for funeral leave again, but management says that he is a step-grandfather and not covered by the funeral leave policy.
I don't know how they resolved it --knowing management they probably never did.

And then there's Jerry Lee and Myra Lewis.
When they married, some of the scandal was because she was thirteen years old. Some was because he failed to divorce his second wife before making Myra his third (he claimed he didn't have to because when he married his second wife before his divorce from his first was final, making the second marriage invalid).
And some was because Myra was his first cousin. This was, at least at that time, legal in roughly half the states, so you could get in trouble simply by taking a road trip together.
In 2012, The Killer married for the seventh time. Wife number seven was previously married to Myra's brother.
As someone pointed out at the time, the man's family tree looks like a wreath.
-
@Tsaukpaetra I would avoid that place out of principle.

I stumbled upon a SO question some time ago, where the OP said he's making a family tree application and was asking how to make sure there are no cycles in the relationship graph. The comments quickly explained that this is not the best idea to start with.

As for me and the other mother, she can refer to me as her children's step-mother. Whereas for people I don't know well I have to refer to her as the mother of my step-children.
Step-mother, mother are simple to say.
And I would like a short-cut to my step-children's mother.

Princess Bride has an interesting take on it.
And indeed, this is how the Buddha poisons people when it is needed. He provides an equal dose of poison to everyone. Those who will die from it, will die.
There's a rather pretty Indian word for this,
pratyavaya
, which translates to `Dev Bert gets to do whatever he wants", more or less.
