Rule #3: Don't post your code if you don't wanna hear everything that's about it.
If you read the thread, the original OP purple hair lady, she took it in good spirits, and praised correct recommendations.
-
@xaade The rule still holds.

Where do plumbers come the next day?The author showed his girlfriend the evidence at an indeterminate point in the past. All we can infer is that the plumber is coming at least one (calendar) day after that event.

But somehow I have trouble taking someone who matches their editor colour scheme with their hair colour seriously.
Think of older programmers please. Light grey on white is extremely difficult to read…

File under: unintentionally funny by passage of years. And totally unrealistic. After all, what sysadmin has ever been to the gym that much?
-
@Benjamin-Hall said in The Official Funny Stuff Thread™:
been to the gym
A gym isn't the only way to get that kind of body...

@Karla damn, that kitchen looks better than my actual kitchen!

@Mason_Wheeler my personal theory is that 2020 is the Penis Game of Gods. Each wants to one-up the others in the most annoying way.
Can't wait for November elections.

Back when he entered office, my prediction (not recorded online) was that I gave him 50/50 he'd reach the end of his term, but if he did he'd get re-elected.
For quite a while I've been hoping to lose that bet.

@Mason_Wheeler Who are the two sitting opposite to Sir Isaac?
-
@Zecc one of them is William Tell (look for the crossbow). Maybe the other one is Eris (CF the myth of how the Trojan War started)?

Somehow I thought William Tell was the guy at the end of the table, next to the snake, though obviously that one's got a handbow instead
Eris makes a lot of sense.

He is. Next to him are the snake on one side, and his son on the other.
a handbow instead
That's the strap holding the quiver. The crossbow is beside the son. There is no handbow/longbow present.

Then I'm not sure who the blonde dude in blue next to the son is. Edit: maybe another greek god? He's got greek-ish designs on the hem of his sleeves.

If I want to trust rando's on the internet, the belief seems to be that, between the Wicked Witch and William Tell's son, it is Paris and Helen of Troy (linked somewhat indirectly from the Apple of Discord), though every depiction I can find for Paris of Troy has him clean shaven so I can't say with 100% certainty that it is right.

That works. I knew that the chick was from that story, but which one is harder to pin down. And since others of them are paired (Tell + son, adam + eve), having a related pair would work.

A lot of insightful discussion of a joke...

Welcome to the light side of TDWTF, where we over-analyze everything. Except the serious stuff. That we fight about.

That doesn't seem like a very @Benjamin-Hall thing to say.

Ah. Yes. Sometimes I use informal language to defy stereotypes. I was mostly mocking my own predilection for prolix speech and gargantuan word choice.

If you need more organic words, consider the act of spontaneous improvisation under clarification and dichotimism. You'll soon find exorbitantly exhilarating methods for which to instantiate correctional declarations for alternative descriptions wherewith nopony will be able to decipher the vestigial meaning.
