No no, the younger version isn't called Merkel
Kramp-Karrenbauer.
Sounds like something I need to go to the doctor for.

This has already been alluded to in the German press.
The German for 'Chancellor' is 'Kanzler.' So, Chancellor Angela Merkal could be abbreviated to KAM. Should Annegret ever attain that position...
[translated] The abbreviation KAKK would be problematic even for purely aesthetic reasons. And KKK would not go down well because of the likelihood of confusion with the Klu Klux Klan. This could cause trouble, especially in the US.
-
@Luhmann Are we sure Merkel didn't just regenerate into a younger body and change her name to avoid human suspicions?

@anotherusername I know the common theories, and I'm still not sure how they explain the sun going below the horizon. A spotlight-type sun just wouldn't do that.

@Gąska To ruin the Thanksgiving joke, it sounds like the author doesn't recognize any distinction between immigration that's breaking the law, and immigration to a land where there were no actual laws.
Are you saying that if the Indians had had immigration laws that would have changed a thing?
It would have at least made it a valid comparison.

Not really. They read donations like this all the time. It's just that usually they don't read them right before semifinal boss is defeated.

Does that have the same fecal connotations in German that it does in Dutch?

I remember once hearing about a recovering alcoholic being advised to pour a stiff drink and then sit down and have a long conversation with that drink, telling it how it had always ruined her life and she was now going to be stronger and not let it do that any more.
That sounds like setting up for failure to me. Talking about how alcohol is ruining her life would easily lead to thinking/talking about why she was drinking in the first place, which would lead down the same path of thinking that ended at getting drunk, and this time, instead of even the small barrier of having to go get a drink, she has one sitting right there in front of her.

Instead I'd like to complain that it's a repost of a repost, and I believe we even have a thread full of such newspaper clippings.

Alcoholics don't have a reason to drink. They can conjure up many on the spot when asked, but none of them is real.
and this time, instead of even the small barrier of having to go get a drink, she has one sitting right there in front of her.
Not a barrier at all. Distance, temperature, weather, money, etc - nothing is a barrier when decision is made to drink.

Later is pretty vague.
It been about 2 hours, maybe that's later enough.
Hey @Polygeekery, this is your friendly reminder set sometimes "Later".
Please note that we will not send you a bill since you always just burn them up.
