@r10pez10 Am I ing here? Is a knowledge of US geography needed?
Do you normally change timezones when you travel NR T H / SU T H in your part of the world? You don't have to know about US geography, you just have to know that our timezones work about the same as your timezones... the time changes as you go east/west.
You need to know something else about the US, that explains the joke. Here, if you're a delivery company (or actually any transport company) that serves the whole country, it is a decorative cliche to have clocks on your wall showing the time in the big cities in each time zone.
(One from each time zone, usually: New York, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles for the continent; add Honolulu and Anchorage if beyond.)
It's supposed to show both your coverage and your awareness of time. Especially the latter, so important to transport companies.
So here's a company that delivers within one timezone...but they still have the stupid wall of clocks.

Read Schlock Mercenary sometime. (Warning: enormous archive binge. It's a daily strip. The author started in 2000. He has never missed a single update!
On the one hand, I hate you.
On the other hand, this:
http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2000-12-26 has said:
Just as the hard-wiring of binary mathematics spun the entire twentieth century about a simple yes-no axis, the invention of the three-state switch promised to revolutionize twenty-fifth century computing. After all, with three states (negative, positive, and null charges) on nanoswitches, computers could now think in terms of yes, no, and maybe, greatly humanizing their internal logic.
This would have brought many, many more female engineers into the field of computer science (hence accelerating the pace at which computers could do useful things besides transmit, compress, and enhance pornography), except that the same abbreviational logic that turned "binary digit" into "bit" turned "trinary digit" into "tit." This nomenclatural error set computing back nearly three hundred years, and two entire generations of promising computer scientists were lost trying to keep abreast of bad puns.

@Zecc Heh. I promise, boob jokes aren't that common. (But on the other hand, just wait until a certain new character by the name of Edward Bunnigus joins the crew...)
Howard Tayler's dedication to his work is really admirable, though. This one time, about 10 years ago, there was a major transformer explosion at the server farm that houses the comic. Dozens of websites went offline for an undetermined amount of time.
He still had an update up on time that day, using temporary hosting, simply because he. Does. Not. Miss. Updates.

Just go north or south at least 5100 miles and you'll be somewhere that uses real distance measurements.

This place looks pretty cool. Lots of ocean-front property. No idea what system of measure they use though.
Not so sure about this place. The geography actually looks pretty interesting, but I think they use "Bottles of Vodka" as their unit of linear measure.

No Man's Sky was that massive "online" "multiplayer" game that wasn't online or multiplayer, where the developers spent years vaguely bragging about how awesome it was and then it was a complete letdown at release with less than half of the promised features. It went from hugely positive press to extremely negative within a 24 hour span. Then the lead dev tweeted "No Man's Sky was a mistake" shortly before deleting his Twitter account and closing down his game studio. And someone edited him into "The Shining".

If I take the two points you posted, and find out what is 5100mi equidistant from both of them, BOOM, I have you.
I HAXX!

Nope. Backtracking from the point in the South Pacific leads to somewhere about 9 miles or so south of the city in your profile location. Can't get any more precise than that, because the direction is, at best, a reasonable approximation. I only got that close because it was the only city at the right distance; my initial direction ended up in the middle of nowhere south of Des Moines, 120 miles too far east — not bad for "drag a line north-ish from the middle of the ocean," but not nearly close enough to doxx.

The tweet was done by a hacker, and the studio stille exists.
