How many kilos of ghost peppers have you added?
The real question is how much spaghetti he added to the ghost peppers.

I already posted about it in the cooking thread, but the gist of it was that I used a pound of spaghetti, a pound of ground beef, just under a jar of sauce, and 4 teaspoons of powdered Carolina Reaper.

Ah.. I seem to need to actually fill the memory that's been allocated, and then I can use it. Or something.
We'll see once I get the latest auto build....
-
@Tsaukpaetra I've seen so many bugs from people forgetting to memset a new malloc and then leaving random garbage in a field or two which causes things to go haywire when used later on...

You know how most of StackOverflow questions are extremely basic and can be answered in ten seconds? (Of course you do; making fun of that is one of our favorite pastimes here.)
Turns out there are StackExchange communities that have the opposite ethos.

This question is too basic; it can be definitively and permanently answered by a single link to a standard internet reference source designed specifically to find that type of information.

CLOSED!Sounds like the standard Stack (Exchange|Overflow) ethos.

@loopback0 ever since I learned about non-capturing groups in regexes, I'm always annoyed when I see people not using them when they could. It's like kerning.

That's more Regex than I want to learn.

I get the
look when I’m asked to proofread something (printed) and then tell people “you used two spaces between these words”.

@anonymous234 WTDWTF is currently shitting all over my productivity.
Ah, but it's keeping you mentally more alert. So while the number of work hours decrease, the productivity during that time increases. So it's either a net-gain or comes out even. Yeah. That's definitely what I'm going with...
Alas, it wasn't work productivity. This was personal stuff.
All done now though; the trick was to close the browser.
-
@Benjamin-Hall Hmm, I noticed none of the options are quite accurate.

@Tsaukpaetra said in The Official Status Thread:

Nope. That wasn't it either.
Next step: Since this is a wrapper around a kind of dynamic array, and (when reading) the array thinks it's empty despite being not:
I'm going to try and figure out why it thinks it is empty, and maybe... just maybe... it will work.
-
@Tsaukpaetra said in The Official Status Thread:

Ah, because I was using the wrong function to set the size. Turns out, that does set the size, but only the allocated size, not the amount of data "known" to be in it.
So instead I turned to a "Generate a string that's made of a single character" function, and that's guaranteed to work (for varying definitions of "guarantee").Seems that's what finally did it. Maybe. Well, at least it's not crashing on the memcopy, so I'm marking it as fixed!

Now lets login, and:

You need to log in to the console session.
-
@Tsaukpaetra said in The Official Status Thread:

That's how I have it set already. I think it must be a bug with local login to session 0 being somehow different to RDP. I think it might be related to the whole 'lock and unlock' thing you need to do if a password changes while you're locally logged in.

It's NLA, it plain doesn't support this. You have to make a custom
.RDP
file withenablecredsspsupport:i:0
in it. Then it works, thanks Microsoft.

Yeah, and you’d probably be wrong, too. Also, for good measure:

@topspin So when South Park did the same thing, it was fine? Was Steve Irwin dead yet then? I think he may have been.

South Park makes fun of everyone, deserved or not. It’s not exactly the same thing, since they don’t take themselves serious.
-
@topspin I dunno, I just don't see all corpses as worth protecting, I guess. I never saw Steve Irwin as a beloved enough figure to care what happens to him. And they've got a point. The guy did like to jam his thumb up everything's butthole.
-
@Gribnit Nah, they’re a bunch of hypocritical assholes.
Suing someone for taking pictures of a monkey. Comparing eating meat to holocaust. Spreading bullshit like “milk causes autism”, not unlike the anti-vaxers. Telling kids “did you know your mother kills animals?”
At least I’m sure Steve Irwin killed fewer animals than them.
-
@topspin Mmm, milk.
Did they do a protest where they strangled puppies naked or something?

I never click any notification other than upvotes because every other type is guaranteed to inconvenience my bookmark.

It was moved. Apparently moving posts doesn't update notifications.

Post IDs are post IDs, paths aren't part of the equation.
