Status: Finished my first major feature for this product, yay. Too bad the front-end guy is like 2 days behind schedule, but if it's late it won't be my fault.

Wow, this page is bad.

Their information seems a bit out of date:
Also, 12 cameras along I-5. Selecting a camera opens that camera in a new, small window, which is not reused; clicking multiple cameras, or even the same camera again, opens another window, but this is not obvious because they open exactly on top of each other. 4 cameras have no image. 1 has half an image. 4 have images from 2014. 2 have images from 2013. And the one above. The ones that aren't completely broken refresh every 30 seconds, as stated — with the same outdated image..

I'm guessing that the site is pretty much abandoned. Also, hey, I was on that road this morning!
Current status: discussing with an elder member of my running group whether or not it's a good idea for her to run my trail Friday.

Sounds dirty...in more ways than one.

If it rains, we can't even do this trail. Way too dangerous.
-
Yeah, you might slip and break something off. Good footing is imperative, especially on muddy trails...

status: wondering what exactly bovril is....oh. thanks google that was in no way creepy when i alt tabbed there after the elipsis and typed "define" and your first suggestion was "define bovril"

There's a hill that you can't really go down without holding onto a fence, in the rain, it'd pretty much be a mud chute.

Status: got a yerba mate kit as a gift. Included: $10 spoon with holes, $10 mug with no handle, and three pounds of the most vile stuff that makes freshly cut grass taste like friggin' ambrosia.
I know the person who bought it had good intentions, but they got ripped off badly.

Humanity is getting smarter on the whole, but it's mostly the con men.

Statues: stuck in a 3 hour presentation, not paying too much attention. The guy is speaking in English even though he's obviously not fluent in it.

I discovered something really bad lurking inside the code.
hmmm is it worthy or just OMGWTFBBQ GET RID OF IT bad?

I'm getting a headache and it seems like I discovered something really bad lurking inside the code.
A causal relationship (#2 -> #1) seems plausible.

Mistaking the Status thread for that "Paste a bunch of animated gifs thread" over on CS, apparently.
-
Unlike CS you can't make the window wider and get a nice show because the content area has a hard-coded width.
-
Advantage: Discourse!

Aren't there supposed to be, IIRC, exactly 27 copies of the image? I didn't count these, but it's clearly not 27; it's an even number.
Also, why 27? I never did know the reason behind that particular meme.
-
Well, there is a CSS hack in the top right menu:

I wouldn't expect your inferior minds to understand it.

What do our dicks have to do with this?

What do our dicks have to do with this?
Because @blakeyrat is a dick? Because if you try to drink an entire pint of Bovril, you'll have to pee (preferably not on the window)?
-
I'm just wondering why he thinks we'd be thinking with our dicks WRT his posts. Maybe @keith can weigh in and explain this particular homosexual innuendo.

Status: Ran to catch a bus. The driver waited for me to reach the front door, then didn't open it and drove off.
He waited for me. Just to make a show of not letting me on.
What a dick.
If I miss the bus, fine. But wasting everybody on the bus' time specifically to taunt me? Are you a sociopath?
-
why he thinks we'd be thinking with our dicks
Am I whooshing here? I see no mention of dicks until you started talking about them

your inferior minds
It's generally accepted that "thinking with your dick" is an inferior way to think...
-
But wasting everybody on the bus' time specifically to taunt me?
Are you a sociopath? You are hilarious!FTFY. I know I would have laughed if I'd have been on a bus and the driver did that.

Status: Just ordered the new Raspberry Pi 2. No idea when I'll get it because it's on backorder, but the new ones have a quad-core 900 MHz ARM processor, 1 GB RAM, and will be able to run a free version of Windows 10.
-
Damn it @blakeyrat, can't you show some compassion for fellow WP users? Your series of GIFs caused my phone to go into infinijump spasms.
-
I know I would have laughed if I'd have been on a bus and the driver did that.
Having been on the outside looking in, I wouldn't. (Not a bus; light rail, but close enough.) Pounding on the door as it pulls away. At 02:00. When the next train won't along for an hour. Not funny.
-
Not funny.
That's why I labeled it hilarious, cause it is more than funny.
EDIT: and I've been on the receiving end of it too, annoying but you can see the humor for others
-
Like I said, a bus driver doing that is just wasting my time (as a passenger). If he wasn't intending to open the door, he should have just driven off in the first place.
It's not funny from either angle, unless you play EVE Online I guess.
-
If he wasn't intending to open the door, he should have just driven off in the first place.
Sometimes, the driver is ahead of schedule, so they wait at a convenient stop to get back on schedule. That may be what he was doing.
-
Did he look you in the eye or something? How do you know he was waiting for you?
I'll admit, this has to do with my hatred of local buses that apparently wait for everyone to sit down and fix their makeup or something. Seriously, they'll stop for fucking ever before they drive off. I hate them all.

This is the RapidRide in Seattle, and it wasn't at one of the "delay for time" stops.
Did he look you in the eye or something?
Yeah we made eye contact when I rounded the edge of the block and started running. Then I had to dodge between like 47 idiots just standing in the middle of the sidewalk not moving or getting out of the fucking way, so it took me a significant amount of time to get there.
He also looked right at me as he took off, at which point I was literally in front of the door with my bus pass in hand.
Fortunately, the next bus in line went to a ... somewhat similar place, but I had to walk 3 blocks.

Community Transit buses are like that. Seattle Metro ones frequently start moving with the doors still open.
