@Cursorkeys maybe if you disable "abortOnError", it will be nice enough to spit the lint message afterwards?

Possibly, but I'm not sure how you'd do that. I did find the answer eventually...on StackOverflow:
The error report is saved to [app module]/build/reports/lint-results-yourBuildName-fatal.html. You can open this file in a browser to read about the errors.
SO DISCOVERABLE!

Status: Today Maple Story 2 comes out. I remain weirded out that exists, and exists now. But it's legitimately pretty good.

Status: Sigh. A friend bought a 2 TB USB flash drive online for $30. It's obviously a fake, it reports itself as 2 TB to the OS, but file operations fail if you copy more than about a hundred megabytes to it. But he thinks there's something wrong with his computer and wants me to fix it so he can use all 2 TB.

Easy to do: Remove the operator

"accidently" snap it in two.
-
@TimeBandit Very tempting. From his texts, it sounds like the device probably only has a 128 or 256 MB flash chip in it, which makes sense for a counterfeit. But by trying to exceed its actual capacity, I think he bricked it because the OS doesn't show it anymore. And now he wants me to fix it so he can at least use its real capacity. Which is at best 256 MB.

Sounds like a documentary about the Canadian pancake syrup industry. Doesn't sound like it needs a sequel.
-
@HardwareGeek Considering you spend a great deal of time on Victoria Island, after getting there by ferry, in the first one, it may indeed be what Koreans think Canada is like.

Victoria Island:
That's what everyone thinks Canada is like.
Or did you mean Vancouver Island, where the city of Victoria is?

Too much houses, not enough snow.
That's not Canada
-
@HardwareGeek The latter, being far less experienced in the mysteries of Canadian geography. Or at least, that's the one Victoria Island in Maple Story is more like.

Should've gotten one of these instead...
EDIT good jerb with the onebox there guys. $34.99...

Well it's a brick-and-mortar store that happens to have an online store too. I'm honestly kinda surprised we ship to all of CONUS+AK/HI

Status: For some reason, this isn't working to generate a single row with the values 0, 15:
select 0, i.PurchasableID from (select 15 PurchasableID) i left join PRCH_Ownerships o on i.PurchasableID = o.ID where o.ID is null group by i.PurchasableID
Normally, left joining a table that doesn't have a record that matches doesn't kill the left hand side, right?
If I remove the Where clause, works fine except that it's returning rows when it shouldn't.
Argh!
-
@Tsaukpaetra left outer join.

@Tsaukpaetra huh, well, I'm no expert. Maybe it's inner. Or maybe your database is made of gremlins.

Inner would ensure that both tables had matching rows.
I'm betting on gremlins, this kind of thing normally works.
If I can't figure it out, I'm going to have to implement something that will full-table scan with a
WHERE NOT EXISTS
somewhere...
-
@Tsaukpaetra you are fated to write a subselect today.

Next sunday I have to vote for the second round on our president election.
Option 1: a guy that said the main problem with our militar dictatorship is that they didn't kill enough commies
Option 2: a social democrat from a party that was deep into the worse corrruption scandal I ever seen. His vice-president is from the communist party.
Any advice? I dunno which is worse.
-
@Tsaukpaetra
Is there a record in PRCH_Ownerships with ID = 15 that you're hitting, so you're actually matching a row (and thus excluding it with yourWHERE o.ID IS NULL
filter)?

Anyways, I tossed everything in the air and ended up with this shit:
ISNULL(MAX(ISNULL(o.ID,0)),0)
and it seems to be working.Ugh.

Yeah, I messaged their support with that after thinking about why Chrome red-squiggled that. We'll see if that gets fixed. Did I mention that this is from a file retrieved as
index.php

This is MS SQL Server, it usually didn't, but maybe some new flag got set I'm not aware and magic is now occurring.

I have a bunch of text documents opened in Notepad++, which makes some things colorful, and I'm using a sample script that has most of what I need to guess a translation of the language to what I need.
I'm using the doc on the left to transform the doc on the right:
Should be doable, but going is slow due to unfamiliarity. I expect approx 3 more man-hours based on my current progress.
Edit: And I mean blind as in, I have no way to tell if the script I'm changing remains valid whatsoever. I'm basically playing Chinese telephone.

Under United States law, an unincorporated territory is an area controlled by the United States government which is not part of (i.e., "incorporated" in) the United States.

What's funny is, the script contains very little in the way of control: you set some target variables and it just goes. The console output is mostly flair to monitor output...
