Surprisingly not all that difficult. Just had to inherit
FOutputDevice
and overrideSerialize
like so:(Client being another object that actually does the sending.)

Trust is trust. I either trust Google or I don't. I don't.
If I don't trust a guy to borrow my car, I also don't trust that same guy to take care of my cat for a week. That's how it works.

He found a bug (non-fatal) within 10 seconds of being handed the tablet too, I think there is a law or something about that always happening.

You're a fucking idiot if you trust Google with any of your data.
i don't trust anyone with my data.
not even myself.
my data lives on my NAS, which is st up with two drive redundancy RAID for data resiliency.
that's one copy.
I sync my data go Gsuite for a second copy.
I sync all of my truly irreplaceable data (as well as most of the technically-replaceable-but-annoying-to-get data) to Glacier for a third copy.
I also periodically sync that data to a harddrive that i take offline and store in my fireproof safe for a fourth copy.
At the same time i sync that data to a second ahrddrive that i take offline and store in a safety deposit box at my bank for a fifth copy
And finally I sync all of my data to Mega for a sixth copy.
i test irretrievably of files from all online backup solutions monthly and for the offline ones i test quarterly when i update the backup sets i stored there.
Gdrive and Box are there for my convenience, and for data resiliency, they are not my sole storage location of my data

and of course all the data is encrypted both at rest and in motion between systems. because SECURITY!
You must value all that porn a lot

Nier Automata is a great game because there's a cold open that lasts like 8+ hours.
I've yet to see a bad game with an obnoxiously long cold open.

I was apparently just being dumb and not realizing that apparently all windows have the same namespace and mistakenly thought I could use a class definition defined in the window's class to serve as the template object for the WPF designer. Stupid me.
Anyways, now on to figuring out why SharedSizeGroup isn't working like I've been told...

Apparently you must set
Grid.IsSharedSizeScope="True"
once and only once at the top of whatever collection of things you want to share sizes with. Woot. Now that that's over, on to figuring out how to stream a log file from disk to the log viewer from the beginning and pause the realtime log outputting until it's finished, while buffering the log in the meantime for splatting out later once the stream has caught up...
Ideally I want to use some sort of ring buffer (since I don't know how large the log files will be) but...
I think I'm putting on complicator's gloves...

Status: I need to make it so we can test our web API.
Our API is weird, and only has one endpoint, and then a custom message system that does what normally you'd use an API for inside.
Someone had the bright idea of building their own JSON to XML converter, converting all our JSON messages to XML, comparing them with his own custom XML comparison engine, and deploying that whole 8-project monstrosity into the cluster with the real, non-test code.
And now everyone is suggesting that he talk to me about his system, and how great it is. So he's going in great detail into why actual code is way more fragile and less useful than a custom XML comparison system.
My approach is a single method call, and then regular old boring MSTest, with Json.NET. Tried and true. Easy to trigger a test run. If only someone gives me what I need to log into the system... which the other guy avoided neatly by just adding his testing system to the mess of an architecture we've got...

The included file access methods are barely a step above byte-wise access...

Aaand decided it was too much trouble for my effort. Instead, I think I'm going to just implement a file dump function from another program (also in C++) that will do the same thing but via HTTP.
Or...
Fuck it, I'll leave a post-it note explaining how to get to the frickin logs.

In completely unrelated news, turns out while this guy can code OK, he's not a very reliable and self-motivated worker. Who'd have thought?

@tsaukpaetra If you can get the log lines into a CLI collections class, you could use a DataGrid with row virtualization enabled.

These are being sent over the wire while streaming, which works fine, but when saved to disk it's not in a consistent format (what the fuck) and I can't just splat that data over as lines because it doesn't match the expected format.
