But what's the fun in that?

IMHO twelve dimensions would probably only exacerbate the issue, we want stability, not more things that can go wrong!

What? Why do you have a vtf file loose in your Steam library?
Do you have games installed that you haven't run since SteamPipe came out like four years ago?

Your Task this morning is to update the following course syllabi.
There are forms in here. You know Skim doesn't save forms properly. Use Acrobat!I really need to fix my "open outside emacs" function to use acrobat if it is a pdf and I give a prefix argument.
<one hour later>
There, all done. Now let's fix those syllabi.
Your have a meeting in five minutes. Location: The other side of campus.

Only if she has to taste the drugs.
I can't stand the effects or the taste of alcohol.
And I don't like cola - of any brand - either. I'm not really keen on most soft drinks, I just get one so as not to look odd and it lasts me the whole evening.
You're a tough date ;)
Indian food has many vegetarian dishes, so you can try things like sag aloo (spinach and potatoes), raita (yoghurt dip), bhaji (fritter), samosa (crispy pillow thing). You can also just order a curry sauce with no meat, and dunk your naan happily. Butter chicken is a nice gentle taste, for example.

The sauces of things like korma (I read butter chicken is similar, and the tikka masala someone posted a picture of looks the same kind of thing) are what I can't stand. They have this mushy texture, if it was just veg (or meat, but not meat for me these days) with a coating of it it would be ok, or if it was runny rather than mushy, but it's a big bowl full of mushy stuff, mostly yellow-ish, and I can't tell what's in it. I can't eat that.
Raita: absolutely not.
The other suggestions are less of a complete non-starter but I'm still very wary of all of it, for various reasons.

@CarrieVS said in The Official Status Thread:
The sauces ... are what I can't stand.
In that case, you may be interested in a biryani (where the sauce is optional) or a tandoori (where the sauce is normally absent).

Lookinging into our codebase and i find this:
(Those fields are Microsoft Great Plains "obfuscated" named for (in order) "Credit Card Holder Name", "Credit Card Number", and "Credit Card Expiration Date")
Good Junior Dev.... Good. You understand what a pain in the ass PCI compliance is and why we pay other companies to be our credit card processors so we don't have to be compliant. All we ever see is "someone paid $XXX.XX or €YYY.YY for Invoice #ZZZZ" and we don't have to be PCI complaint for that. heck we don't even see who paid that invoice, at least not in our systems. Accoutning can look it up in the processors systems if there's a dispute, but that's never saved in our systems.

Status: Fucking integration tests. Turns out the reason they were sometimes failing “without reason” was that they used a random layout of components that was sometimes unsatisfiable. Thanks, guys! Really wanted to be trying to debug that sort of thing.

You have a funny definition of "working".
-
@Rhywden Well my code didn't break.

In any case, fixing that has allowed me to make that project build in Travis for the first time in years. Fixing this sort of thing is a fair chunk of my job right now, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much…

You said "worst case scenario," which indicates that you had to remove n+1 socks to find a pair (where n is the number of unique styles of socks). Since you removed 5 socks from your drawer, that means you have 4 distinct styles of socks.
What do I win?

"Matching" "Pair"
what is this?
i just throw all my socks into a pile, and everymorning i reach in and grab two and wear them. Today i have Cookie Monster and..... It's either a fall maple leaf motif or a severely distorted and discoloured santa.
-
@accalia do as I do and use the pigeonhole principle. If you have n types of socks, grab n+1 socks and you have at least one pair.
-

..... why would i want a pair? i just grab two and put them on. way less effort that way.

@RaceProUK topologically at least...

I feel boring.
I match them up when putting them out to dry.
-
@RaceProUK still topologically equivalent.
As are two socks with holes.
-
@Mikael_Svahnberg Does that mean that topologically, a sock with a second hole is a ring doughnut?
