Status: stupid TV's. Parsing an XML works just fine on any browser. Try the same thing on a LG TV an it doesn't work.

City sales taxes often change often
Of course they do if they don't think they need to be consistent. Though the point about boundary changing really shouldn't apply most of the time. I have seen people pull that sort of trick in the middle of downtown Chicago with the prices written on a chalkboard, so I reckon that it's actually a different set of stupid and that everything you've been told is really just a bunch of excuses.
About the only thing that would make sense is if there is a non-trivial interaction between different goods in combination on the overall tax paid, but that would be a dumb-as-hell regulation!
Yes, this bugs me every time I visit the US.

STATUS Aha! Flushed out a paste bug. And found more cut copy paste bugs =(

Shouldn't pinned topics stay at the top?

Did you click the 'There are x updated topics' banner?

Got it in one ^_^

Then it's an old bug, almost as old as @boomzilla ;)

The bugs that I find here always boggle my mind. I never find the technical bugs that some of ye find (I'm just not clever enough =() but the kind of shit I find would be easily flushed out by comatose QA. You would expect to see these bugs in QA not in released versions. The mentality that allows them to be okay with delivering this shit is beyond my understanding...
STATUS The bug is turning out to be quite the rabbit hole including s3 code that should have fucking nothing to do with this... Fucking hell!

"all categories" is not a category.
Maybe not a bug then?

Breakfast: Latte
Only in Seattle area would a latte be considered "thrifty".

Late November, I ordered a book from the book depository.
November is a rough time for book depositories.

I actually don't even have the game. :<
if you have Steam you have Team Forteress 2
it just kind of appears magically in your game library.

Status: I had a great dream last night that lead to a brilliant idea: doing a Mafia Larp! In my dream it was a nightless game, vampire-themed; I'm thinking some kind of vampire ball, powers refresh on the hour (and half-hour? depending how fast we want to go?), the DMs move about slipping people pieces of paper to tell them information. You'd get a packet on your way in explaining who you are and what your powers do, et cetera.

On a recent trip to Hawaii, my parents found a place where you could paint a ([n] empty) coconut and mail it directly. They sent one to my kids as sort of a postcard.

I mean, you could make one at home. It's just espresso with steamed milk.

I guess their steaks are expensive but coffee flows like water. Kind of the reverse where I live.

The word espresso is very triggering to my caffeine-starved brain!!

Only if you expect Discourse to have QA. We were their QA; they fired us.

No repro. It's not in my library, nor my son's shared library. Neither is Team Fortress 2.

Apparently, finding and reporting serious bugs and fundamental flaws in a product is

It's free-to-play so it will appear in your library as soon as you want to add it.

Status: Some recruiter seems to think that I am the perfect person to keep phoning up and asking whether I have positions he can help fill. Joke's on you, Mr Recruiter! Not only do I not have such positions — and even if I did, we've got official processes for filling them which phoning me is not part of at all — but even if we did, phoning me up just pisses me off and makes me inclined to be rude.
Next time, maybe I should just pretend to be someone else.
-
Ah, but I have to take explicit action to do that. That's not "it just kind of appears magically."

Only in Seattle area would a latte be considered "thrifty".
?
It "cost" a bit of espresso beans I already had in the freezer, a cup and a half of milk and like 3 minutes of my time.

lucky bastard then. it added itself to both my account and my mook account.

Huh? Why?
Espresso machines are cheap. Are they not sold in other cities, or...? I mean, yeah, 30 years ago when you had to buy the machine from Italy it was expensive, but it has been for decades. Mine's a fucking Black & Decker.
What the fuck are you talking about!

In places where coffee isn't treated like a national pastime, most people just have coffee pots and keurigs. Maybe a french press if you want to get really fancy.
-
In places where coffee isn't treated like a national pastime, we just have coffee pots and keurigs.
Have you seen a high street in a city recently? Every sixth business is a freaking coffee shop. And every third is a clothing store.
-
most people just have coffee pots and keurigs.
I know more people with espresso machines than I do with Keurigs.
Like blakey said - they're cheap as.
-

Is every second clothing store one that also does coffee?
-
In places where coffee isn't treated like a national pastime, most people just have coffee pots and keurigs.
Right; someone using KEURIGS! saying I'm spending too much making my own lattes. I paid less per cup of my latte than you did for your shitty instant coffee.
But your dumb reply doesn't explain why making your own latte isn't an option which is the gibberish you claimed. Why isn't it? EXPLAIN!
-
I know more people with espresso machines than I do with Keurigs.
E_NO_REPRO
I can't think of any acquaintances with an espresso machine.
-
I can't think of any acquaintances with an espresso machine.
Yeah, but they all have trucknutz, right?
Look, if you don't know anybody who is cultured in any way, I guess that's a possibility. It still doesn't explain why you think making a latte at home is not an option anywhere but Seattle. STILL EXPLAIN.
-
I'm sure he's just jealous.
-
Ok fair enough. Why is an espresso machine some kind of fancy thing and a Keurig not though?
-
It still doesn't explain why you think making a latte at home is not an option anywhere but Seattle. STILL EXPLAIN
Because it's a more complex process than throwing [grounds/a k cup] into a machine, blindly hitting a button, and waiting a bit for your caffeine infusion to bring you back to the world of the living.
