Status: GitLab lacks the API to list what forks of a project there are. Because of course it does. You can administer the forks via the API, but discovering them is a matter of playing guess the state secret…
So it's Yet Another SNAFU for Rails projects.

They SHOULD have had it working about 4 month after Vista came out.
Is that to be interpreted as described in RFC 2119?

A useful answer to a non-trivial question on SO?

It does happen sometimes. For example, I found this particular question very helpful today.
(It prompted me to solve my problem by stopping trying to use Java. Which is helpful.)

And people are surprised when they learn companies don't pay attention to reviews...
and people are surprised that companies cheat to give themselves good reviews and their competitors bad reviews.....

Back on CS. Started a debate on whether it was ok for guys to wear pink. Turned out the pink shirt was striped, and the only pink was a stripe so narrow you couldn't even see it in the picture he posted.

If I had to wear a suit to work, I'd probably have not accepted the job unless I was desperate.IIRC, he worked in a stuffy East Coast bank, or some such, where even the nighttime cleaning crew had to wear suits to work. Thought the entire world was, or should be, like that.
No, I think he was a black guy from Texas.

Except it's been entered as a comment.
I think it will work. I was pulling in same named classes from the wrong place, it seems. Because no one ever puts their import statements in documentation or tutorials. Motherfuckers.

No, I think he was a black guy from Texas.
I just spent way too much time looking through the archives that @blakeyrat was so kind as to host for us (thanks). You are indeed correct that he was from Texas — pink-striped shirts and cowboy boots. I didn't find anything about him being black, but I think you may be right about that, too. Apparently I was conflating @snooder with some other fashion douchebag — an inside-the-DC-Beltway, expensive suit-wearing one.
-
I didn't find anything about him being black, but I think you may be right about that, too.
It came out eventually when we were talking about affirmative action or something. Yes, @snooder was the guy.

It came out eventually when we were talking about affirmative action or something.
Sounds vaguely familiar, but I CBA to search the archives for it.

as tempting as it may sound at first, do refrain from combining those two activities. your plumber will thank you.

Because comments can't be downvoted.
Another retarded part of SO's gamification - SO will punish you for submitting an answer that isn't 100 percent right and precise, so if you're not certain if what you propose will work, you're better off abusing the comment feature.

I once heard someone call this hypothetical combined activity "waffle-stomping a turd through the shower drain."
-
I'm not sure it'd cause a plumbing problem.
It's certainly not the first reason to avoid shitting in your own shower that I'd think of.

don't. your plumber really will thank you.

Because comments can't be downvoted.
It could honestly be a request for clarification. I'm sure if I'd put in the information he was asking for he would have put it in as an answer. But, like documentation writers, I'm a motherfucker.

Pink shirts are 100% okay. I wear them all the time. I own four: a plain pink Oxford sport shirt from Brooks Brothers, a dress Oxford from Brooks brothers, a university striped light pink oxford from Vineyard Vines, and a light pink with contrast collar/contrast French cuffs from Brooks Brothers. I also own a light pink polo from Brooks Brothers. I'm comfortable enough with my masculinity that I don't need to ensure I avoid accidentally hinting at anything else every single day.

Also, entire world wear suits? Sure! Except for the cleaning crew. Poor guys.

If I had to wear a suit to work, I'd... well, I'd have moved far out of Seattle. Fucking PRIESTS in Seattle don't wear suits to work.

I take my thanks in US Dollars.

It shows topics where you have bookmarks
ed topics.FTFY, though if you have more than one bookmark in a single topic, it will only take you to one of them (or none, it seems to be buggy, and I guess I shouldn't be surprised).
Status: Looking into a cache issue in one of our ASP.NET web sites that seems like it should "just work," but isn't.
Also privy to conversation regarding our new junior developer. He probably won't be sticking around much longer, since he's not grasping everything he's been dumped into (for someone who is still in college for programming, I think he started out strong), specifically the ORM we use, since he was persisting in doing something that I pointed is wrong and won't work. Now my boss has pointed it out as well, and we'll see where it goes from there.

To prove your point, I have this in a bookmark:

Fucking Discourse bugs, that link brings me to my bookmarks, not yours. Broken like everything!
-
That's the point...? There's no user-specific information in that URL, and why would you allow access to others' bookmarks anyway?

Except it's Discourse, where browser bookmarks only work if browser history is broken.

Better not try it. Though, it shouldn't be too bad since the real one would be animated....

Half heard a cow orker say something, and modified it in my head into a new proverb, which someone has probably come up with before and made a comic about:
"For any problem, there are enough possible answers to have a good argument."

I don't know how I would deal with my Starcraft cursor appearing in two places at once...
In Dota 2, you can spectate someone's perspective, including their cursor. It gets really confusing when they have a different screen resolution than you.
-
spectate someone's perspective, including their cursor
Mind=Blown
Everyone knows that Game Capture never includes the mouse cursor (unless said cursor is actually replaced by a pixel and the game takes it upon itself to draw one)!Or, wait, Dota probably has its own cursor.
Mind=Recovered.
-
It's not a video, it's the game client rendering their camera and mouse position and selection.
-
Everyone knows that Game Capture never includes the mouse cursor
Why is "Game Capture" capitalized? Is that the name of a product?
From my experience all game capture software/hardware indeed does capture the mouse cursor.
