Status: Damn it. Five-inch but $70 figure, supposedly made of "indestructible" nylon, fell a little over two feet onto carpet and managed to shear its leg off. At a glance the broken part looks replaceable (provided I had an extra part) but I don't think it actually is. Not only are the mushroom pegs holding it together ridiculously tight, there's another part that loops around one of them that looks like it must've been stretched to fit around it. Yeah, not happening.

Beetroots are fine. No idea why youâd want to ruin them.
That's what I keep saying about kale. Y'all just don't know how to prepare it.
My wife has recently introduced me to kale soup and now I can't believe I lived my whole life without it.

Still waiting for that "this makes me feel good! I want to do it more!" feeling to come.
I have a prediction though that this will end up the same as my nonexistent sex drive. đ˘

@Zecc On which axis? Assuming the normal right-handed, z is up configuration, rotating around the z axis has very little effect, while rotating around any vector containing non-trivial x or y components may have different results.
I was thinking of the latter, but I should have realized someone would mention the former.

Merry Christmas, @loopback0!

I have realized I'm probably a weirdo. Because me and friends kept joking about ordering a Dr. Pepper with the post-RPG kebab/pizza/kebabpizza I did actually do it once. And... I kinda liked it. I remember not liking it when younger, but now I think it's pretty good.

@Atazhaia I successfully turned that drink into a meme at a former workplace by invoking it in lieu of its tagline.

It's a type of plastic that's supposed to be more flexible and resistant to breakage. It's also usually difficult to paint for some reason. No idea if it's the same base material used for stockings.

I know people advocate using peanut butter on your meat, but this is another level, man...

Weather forecast: 30% chance of rain beginning at 18:00, increasing to 50% at 03:00 tomorrow.
Actual weather: 100% chance of rain at 14:00. Edit: And maybe a little very small hail; I didn't see any when I looked outside, but it sounded like tiny hail hitting my metal chimney cap.

The frogs belong in a pond. The snails belong anywhere but my garden. And the Frogs belong in France.

@Gustav While starting basic education at 6 years old is pretty universal, and most of the western world continues up to 16 to 18, how it's subdivided below that varies wildly from country to country. The details aren't worth going into; suffice to day I did chemistry from 12 to 18.

Things are far more complicated than that, especially historically (in the childhoods of people now alive).

@Tsaukpaetra it doesn't take much foresight to know that there are going to be new computers in the future and they're going to have more rather than less memory.
Same kind of foresight that said primary storage media would never need addressing beyond 2Tb (with hacks), right?
