Make sure the ticket complains about the lack of proper method of access to documentation.

That way, they don't have to write the documentation until a customer explicitly asks for it. That's Agile!

It's only just started to happen inn the last couple of weeks. I used the same exact version for years before that without encountering the behavior.

Probably some nation state is using his computer as a testing platform for their RAT and their "clean up after yourself" module is a little buggy at the moment.

Status: Wet.
This autumn is really wet.
And the waters in the river are rising. The foot and cycle way along the Rhine are already flooded.
Netherlanders take care: it's only 350 km along the river to the !

It wouldn't be the first time DE had uncontrolled flooding and NL did not. But this time we've been having quite a lot of rain around here already, so we'll see.

Windows 11 thread may be but I am nowhere near caught up to the end
What kind of "ding"?
Also, welcome to "Modern Standby" where sleeping isn't actually "sleep".
Yeah - I pick up my laptop after 8 hours of the lid being closed and nearly burn my fingers. I'm convinced "sleep" means "time to run the crypto mining apps" (I mean Windows Update)
edit: I did discover that unplugging the laptop makes it actually, really, truly go to sleep.
edit2: And it usually starts back up properly.

If the game makes it through the first 5 minutes it's not going to crash. Which makes me 99% certain it's not a power or heat problem.
Luckily, it seems yesterday's driver update actually fixed it. Haven't seen the issue yesterday evening or today.

Status: $deity fucking damnit. I give up. Saturdays are blacklisted. Never going to try getting anything done on Saturday again.
Not only am I going to conclude that indeed my RAM is bad, but now my tools drive (hopefully not containing anything I actually needed, which, according to policy, should not contain any permanent stores of data, buy, you know) has been extremely corrupted by the Easy2Boot program somehow.
I use an IODD device to provide emulated drives so that shit like Easy2Boot is usually not necessary. However, today I encountered a tool that was provided only in the
IMGPTN23
format (effectively, a disk image that apparently doesn't work as a raw disk image). So, I use Easy2Boot to prepare a new (blank) virtual flash drive. All went well, nothing to see here, typical flash drive.
Install the special file and boot into the Easy2Boot menu. All is well, look the pretty
IMGPTN23
file is there! Select it. Partitions on the virtual flash drive are appropriately mangled.Tool works (well, as well as can be expected anyways).
Go back to IODD to dismount the virtual flash drive. Huh, weird, Partition1 is not correctly formatted (Error 5).
Well, whatever, force it and I'll repair it.
Bad idea. Windows claims the partition is so fucked it thinks it's RAW. Other partitioning tools do see it as NTFS as expected, but attempting to read it in Windows results in "Access Denied"
I wasn't supposed to be dealing with any of this, I was supposed to be taking fucking pictures of collectables, gorramnit!
Guess I know what I'm doing instead.

I do. When it works. Currently (see above post) I'm seeking out new RAM because tweaking it to work has simply failed overall and it's now reached the point of interrupting important tasks.

Resuscitating busted old hardware is not usually worth the amount of time and effort required. Especially cables; the moment a cable goes dodgy, just throw it away (because tracking down the hairline fracture in one of the conductors is tricky and needs special tools, and most cables don't cost much new).

Oh I don't ever repair cables, that's just silly.
I also don't do board-level repairs, I just don't have the available space to setup a lab environment (not to mention the time).

That was when he was employed without paycheck, so he scavenged the data centers trashcans.
Disks aplenty, so weekly weird disc failures.
Few DRAMs , so playing Windows Jenga while building VMs with minimal footprint.
