The most useless key is Caps Lock
There's a game I play where I have to use the sequence Caps LockPCaps Lock to type a P, because ShiftP is a hot key for something or other, even in a text box.

I repurposed it as compose.

I do too, when I have a sensible keyboard.

That’s 3 or 4 keys depending on “all the screen” or “let me select part of the screen” and whether “save it to disk” or “put it into the clipboard”
Life is so easy with KDE: press "Print Screen", the snipping tool comes up and let you choose what you want to do.
Mac keyboards don’t have keys they consider useless. Like page up/dn.
I had an android keyboard with the del key. About the only thing I miss from android. That and access to the file system.

Well, they don't have the Del key, it's very annoying to have to press a meta key with Backspace to Del.

@Gribnit why press two keys when I'm used to pressing one?

This way you won't be trapped forever if you accidentally commit without
-m
in the terminal. Also, you only have to press escape if you're not already in command mode - and really, who just sits around in edit mode, amirite?
-
@Gribnit Escape doesn't do that in Sublime Text, though.

If you prefer working in a non-perfect editor, it is possible to change git settings to select a different one. Or specify one in your shell environment.

Not by default, no. VintageEx lets it, it looks like.

Scroll Lock otoh is performed at random. Scroll Unlock would actually be handy, vs repeated pleas-via-scrolling.

Status: Chrome has been stupidly crashy for the last couple of weeks. I have to load it four to six times before it stays loaded. All signs point to an unwanted update which was unwanted because this is exactly what I feared would happen. Now I have to use Brave which at least let me disable its retarded updater.
-
@Zenith said in The Official Status Thread:

You'll want the next update, which fixes the crashy!

What's the opposite of ?
This shit works on integration but won't work on my local environment. I have to do a full deployment after every change to see my code run.

I've got one of those - our cloud exits where our partner has whitelisted which is not where any of the dev machines exit.
As to the appropriate iconograph, the Unicode BIDI characters should be where to start, but the forum software is retarded.
As usual, bahahahaha hahaha regards hahahahahahahahaha.

Nobody reads anything, just the color is the important part.
-
@Tsaukpaetra I must admit I did not have the colorblind in account when I hacked up the icon above.

@Zecc you're saying it works for you but might not work for others?

The mystery has been solved:
There's a configuration file that's supposed to go from XML to a package to the JCR to the OSGi configuration. The filename was supposed to match the class name, but it was in the wrong namespace, so it didn't work. It does work on the integration environment because OSGi config was manually set up there.
And remains AEM.
