With a script you can do both, at pretty much the same time.

Maybe that's the reason why some antidepressants paradoxically increase the risk of suicide. I'd be terrified if psychotic ramblings suddenly started making sense to me.

You must report that to FDA.
A warning label must be added to that meds!

Some people just can't transcend being sloppy pasta coders.
-
@error Because he wants to end up having to worry about the difference between the servers and the service.
Don't use ping unless you know both what it is doing and that the answer is actually helpful. There's quite a few situations where it isn't helpful at all (e.g., it doesn't work at all from within Azure — MS block ICMP ECHO with firewall rules — and machines can get in a state where they''re pingable but the service you're interested in isn't running).

@error nslookup takes more letters to type
The actual reason is that if I know the IP address where a website is hosted, I know what password to use when RDP'ing, in which already mapped shared drive stuff is, etc.

I agree. But if the client is okay with the servers being pingable and if it's convenient to me, who am I to disagree?

The place I ordered my physical Doge Coins from is telling me Blockchain Mint is having problems. Essentially, after many delays, quantities are small and quality is awful. So this place is "clearing their books" and offering refunds by check or as store credit plus $2.50 per coin.
On the one hand, I would rather hear the truth over a neutered PR statement. On the other hand, I can't find anything else corroborating the mint's problems.
The closest I've been able to dig up is Blockchain's one-a-month Facebook updates.
There's a March post showing hundreds of Wall St Bets coins, asking customer if they got their's, but they're still on preorder status on coin sites. Also they look really dull in photos compared to British/Canadian silver coins.Sucks because I thought the Doge Coin would've been funny to have.
Edit: Maybe @BlakeyRat wasn't nuts about weird characters finding their way into file paths. This stupid editor likes to insert random unremovable line breaks in posts.

edit: Just looked at the outage map. Jeez people - that outage isn't even close to me (about a mile away).
Ah - I understand. Clairvoyance. Power went out 26 hours after they texted me. Time to shutdown everything on UPS so the critical stuff (router!) can stay powered longer...

There are many problems I never had in Internet Explorer that magically appear in "better" inner platforms like Chrome.
I can type a sentence followed by two spaces and another sentence that will "somehow" end up as two sentences with a line break. I can delete the two spaces, post again, and it's gone. Put the two spaces back in there and line break magically reappears. Sometimes deleting the last word and first word and then typing what I want back in works but it's really just flipping a coin because just as often the line break reappears. Sometimes I feel like posting until it works and sometimes I don't.
Given all of the problems whatever shovelware the forums run on has with scrolling, and resizing, and draft buttons appearing in front of other buttons, I shouldn't be surprised that "POST the contents of this fucking TEXTAREA" doesn't always work.

@hungrier Ah, so Jeff's a doctor now?
It also happens when I put only one space between them. Should I stop using spaces? What if punctuation or capitalization is what triggers it should i stop using that won't it be confusing to read

OTOH, if it was because someone was disappointed the saga was over, I have great news for you. I have the printer, but not the wash/cure machine or the 3kg of resin I ordered.
I got in touch with them by email. (They're in China, so there's a 24 hour turnaround on email exchanges.) The Wash&Cure machine and spare FEP film was supposed to ship today, but no shipping notification. (Last time, I got a notification when it left a warehouse in CA for TX, but nothing for 3 weeks between acknowledging the order and shipping from CA, during which time I suppose it was en route from CN to CA, but notification of that.) The resin is out of stock, so .
FedEx just delivered the Wash&Cure machine.
Never did get a shipping notification other than the email from customer service droid.I got an email from customer service at 01:38 this morning (that I didn't notice until just now) with tracking numbers for 3 separate shipments: Printer (already delivered Tuesday), Wash&Cure (delivered this evening), and resin (should arrive — in theory — by Wednesday). Got shipping notification this afternoon that the FEP film had shipped (shipping label created; who knows when it will actually ship or arrive).
-
I'm sure that eventually, you're going to get delivery notifications before you've even bought the item.
-
@Zerosquare Whereupon it will disappear, never to be seen again.

I sure hope my resin actually shipped, because their website now says resin (all kinds/colors, apparently) is out of stock in the US until the middle of next month. :(
