@Zenith I know you're running painfully low on fucks to give, but I thought I should remind you that some areas of TDWTF are open for anyone to view, so you have an opportunity to catch anything that maybe's better re-raised in the lounge lest someone you may not want see certain stack traces and form certain opinions.

Scratch resistant, sure. Easy[ ]to install, maybe. But I don't think it's got an HD screen included, or will protect either itself or my device in case of an explosion.

"HD Screen" means "It's transparent enough not to make the screen blurry".

I'm assuming you mean a dual-display model? The one I found is like $50 ($30 for the HDMI model)...

Status: You loved New Math and Chicago Math. Now get ready for GameStop Math. I swear, between the time you put something in the cart and receive an order notification, the shifting breakdown makes the final cost a complete mystery.
They were running a sale which was defined as:
- spend $75, get $15 off
- spend $125, get $30 off
They also have free shipping on $35+. It usually requires the same stock status.
So I put eight $20 items in my cart, all preorders.
- four at $19.99, eligible for the sale
- three at $19.97, marked down from $22.99, also eligible for the sale
- one at $19.99
Individually, it says I saved $19.99 on the four and $9.06 on the three. But then there's this:
Real math: 159.86 - 19.99 + 0.00 + 8.75 = 148.62
GameStop math: 159.86 - 19.99 + 0.00 + 8.75 = 154.61I'm not sure where the $39.03 comes from, because if you add up the discounts and free shipping, that's only $35.96. Shipping starts at $5.99 but three shipments would be $17.97 and adding that to $19.99 would still only be $37.96. Anyway...click the continue button and...
The three items due August (but somehow as showing as arriving in April) show one crossed out value. The five items that may as well not be preorders both show $15.97 crossed out (meaning I "saved" $37.93 in shipping). That reflects the $5.99 mentioned above and mirrors the purported total shipping savings from the screen before.
I ended up dropping the solo item, which I expected was $19.99, plus $5.99 shipping, plus $1.56 tax, for a total of $27.54.
But if you take that out of $154.61, you get $126.97 and not $127.07. And you can see I still didn't get the $30 off. Who knows what the Visa bill at the end of the month will say.
Makes me feel much better about my own retail software's math, that's for sure. On the other hand, makes me even madder about my text formatting being micromanaged.

Also . They're subtracting Standard Shipping from the Subtotal, as if it was included, but then there's a Shipping & Handling line item beneath it. Basically showing the same discount in two places.
Edit: no, they're not subtracting it, even though they make it look like they are.
What the fuck is going on here?

@Zenith where the hell do the $19.99 come from and what happened to the $30?

So... you can't
diff -w
or ignore whitespace diff in w/e viewer? I hope not, because since you're here you must deserve this.

You presuppose I’m familiar enough with git or similar tools to do that, and not some kind of keyboard monkey coder.
A bold move, Cotton, let’s see how it pays off.

Heh, don't fall for that then. Thought that was a fair troll, but -w revert+patch is going to get you a cyclic ADT, what you really need is to do a fast-forward rebase.
