Status: the Disneyworld App is far inferior to the Universal Studios' in terms of the map, but neither of them support the (I would think) most useful feature of starring attractions and hiding away the rest.
How will you know where to spend more money if they let you hide everything but attractions?

Status: Good lord, I'd say I need some coffee if I actually drank it. Just wrote this gem:
for (int i = 0; i < rows; i--)

It could have been worse. You could have written
for (unsigned int i = 0; i < rows; i--)
for extra fun!

@Zerosquare yeah, I'll take the instant crash over the silent doesn't work.

Opened PuTTY, accidentally blind double clicked on a saved connection when trying to focus the window...
It was the connection I wanted.

Today I had to upgrade my good old MS Office. It took several hours ...
Now, MS Teams thinks that there is no internet available:
Yeah, obviously I've used it up complete for TDWTF.

Oh no, not technical/business forums! I can only browse sites like this one.

It turns out the problem I was trying to solve (by reading the blocked URL above) was a new change imposed by our almighty IT overlords, who pushed out a browser extension whitelist via group policy.
Luckily, fixing it was just a registry change.

Someone found a loophole where they can keep adding scope to a ticket after (level of effort) points are assigned to it.

I have a 4K display but I don't let it upscale so I have more room for windows.
I multitask like a motherfucker.

I star the things I want to spend money at, clearly.

Yeah, but everything is too small to read if it's not upscaled. So, I have more room for windows, but not as much more room as I'd like. OTOH, the windows I do have gobble so much memory (ο©) that that's more the limiting factor than screen space.

Switched computers for this. NSFW but I promise it's worth watching (only nudity is a crude diagram).

I have 2 28" monitors, and I sit a normal ~18" from them. I also have eyes.

Isn't it annoying to be crying all the time?

@Zerosquare My son's whining is annoying when I ask him to cut s for dinner. They don't bother my eyes nearly as much as (he says) they bother his.

Dear God
the UX forSAP is terrible.I still laugh when I think of the time Revenue thought they could write a tax system and spent $250M on it only to find out it couldn't handle zeroes. That's right, if you neither owed nor were due a refund, the system could not process your return and would hound you as if you never filed at all.

Status: Ordered three collector edition figures from Walmart. I'd like two but only really need one. The reason I ordered two or three is so they'll ship in a box, versus in a bag or bare with a label slapped across the front. Yes, they do that. Well, I finally received them today. Two in one bag, both completely trashed, and one in a box with no padding at all in passable condition. Walmart seems to have a minimum weight requirement to shop but do they have a maximum intelligence requirement to work?

@Zenith said in The Official Status Thread:

It's Walmart.
-
@HardwareGeek I know but this is an area where IT jobs might pay double Walmart wages. I have often considered whether the tradeoff for less stress would be worth it.

On my PC at home the other night chrome breached 16gigs of memory consumed. One of the reasons that machine has 64 gigs installed on it.

@Dragoon
I suspect your causality might be backwards
-
@Dragoon One of the reasons I don't use Chrome any more.

Yeah, trying out brave right now to see if it handles my abuse of tabs better. So far its behaving.

Local (major network affiliate) TV news about a police car chase:
You see the helicopter over it [the fleeing car] right now; uh, we believe that is a Sheriff helicopter, and ...
Could that be because it says SHERIFF in big, legible letters on the side of the helicopter?

Is there a way to run C# on the CLI as an interpreter instead of a compiler? It seems, since we got top level functions, like it could be a useful scripting language now.

OK, you've persuaded me that it must be a total .

@error Do you want DLR, Reflection.Emit, CodeDOM, Expression<>, or the Roslyn parser/tokenizer plus an interpreter?
Edit: Or, yeah, PowerShell?

I want>
#!/usr/bin/env cs using System; Console.WriteLine( "Hello, world!" );
~$ chmod +x ./foo.cs ~$ ./foo.cs Hello, world!
And I want it without having to build something myself.
