Status: Wait, when did it become impossible to install different versions of the .NET framework? I have several folders with different versions of the BCL assemblies.
To install applications with dependencies on different versions of .NET, we recommend .NET Core. .NET Core supports side-by-side installation of different versions of the .NET Core runtime on the same machine. This side-by-side installation allows multiple services on the same server, each of them on its own version of .NET Core. It also lowers risks and saves money in application upgrades and IT operations.
Side-by-side installation isn’t possible with .NET Framework. It’s a Windows component, and only one version can exist on a machine at a time. Each version of .NET Framework replaces the previous version. If you install a new app that targets a later version of .NET Framework, you might break existing apps that run on the machine, because the previous version was replaced.

1.1, 2, 3.5 and 4 can all run side-by-side but not different versions of 4. 4.5 replaces 4, etc.

Major versions can be installed in parallel, minor versions supersede each other.

@Zenith That article in a nutshell:
Core - gud, Framwork - sux

@loopback0 @Vixen @Applied-Mediocrity Thanks. I wasn't sure if the article was wrong or I was out of touch. Even more shocking than my favorite version being almost old enough to drive, they've had ten years of framework
versionsrevisions that can't run in parallel!

Guess I now really have to live with the new bloaty useless layout.

The original ES File Explorer was bought by a Chinese company who put in some very bad hijacking and ad cheating software, enough that Google pulled it from the store. I wouldn't touch anything named after it now.
I used to use Root Explorer before I got my new phone, but I wasn't using any of the fancy features in it so I didn't reinstall it on this phone. (Plus I haven't rooted it, so some of the fancy features wouldn't work anyway.) I do have the paid version of Simple File Manager on here, but I'm not sure it'd help you.
FWIW, when I got my new phone I plugged it into my computer and copied everything off of it, then after Google's phone restoration I copied my data files and set up the various applications again. Never tried going phone-to-phone directly.

(But seriously, a good feature would be to ignore edits for the first couple minutes after a posting. Nobody needs a bunch of edit spam because someone spotted a typo or wanted to reword/add something. One of my other forums does this; it doesn't even mark the post as edited, but it doesn't have the "view history" button this software has.)

I have a program called Android File Transfer on this machine that means I can plug in my phone and get everything off the device and not just the ones on the parts that are usually offered by just using the standard OS device mounting scheme, which is useful for getting some of the images from chat programs. (Specifically the ones taken by family members elsewhere in the world that the app we use likes to hide away. No idea why Viber has to be that way. )

Status: having two phones with the same alarm settings is fun.
Even more fun is when said alarm is an awesome techno section that is designed to be jarring.
Biggest fun is when the App controling the alarm cancellation chooses different challenges from the other phone.
Today was multiplication and what-day-is-tomorrow.
Situation now remedied. Good morning!

I fucked SoftRAM once. Not pleasurable. Might as well used a balloon filled with gelatin, and even with balloons there would have been some texture. Would not recommend.

Not necessarily. Maybe he realized he doesn't have any sanity left and figured taking a day off wouldn't help
