@Gąska That would irritate me as alot of the really inconvenient crap started about two weeks ago. I do not like masks and now it's allergy season on top. Every shift at the store I wonder if that'll be the day I hyperventilate to death.
But I've had a slight cough for like two months now too. You don't dare cough in public since this started because those goons with the beak masks will come take you away. I really think it's from turning a house I don't clean enough upside down for inventory and taxes.
-
@Zenith I get dust allergy symptoms whenever I do a surface cleaning (ie vacuuming or dusting). But I feel you. I went outside for 15 minutes today (took a walk). Even with wiping my face and hands afterwards, I've been itchy and congested ever since. And it's near the end of the big pollen season here.
I can't wait to leave Florida. Just wish I had something else on tap by this point...

I've had a cough ever since I had a cold in, um, January, I think. I've struggled to suppress coughs every time I've gone grocery shopping in the last month and a half, but it seems like I may finally be over it, or at least it's infrequent enough it's not a problem. I did have to suppress a sneeze — or likely a fit of sneezing — this evening, but that was a good thing; it reminded me to pick up some allergy medicine, which wasn't on my list.

Status: Bonanza is stupid. Literally zero self-awareness.
Step 1: announce Stripe is coming soon
Step 2: drag your feet for over a year because programming is hard let's go shopping
Step 3: still require PayPal anyway
Step 4: ???
Step 5: profit!Talk about thick. No idea why sellers would want alternative payment processors.
For me, it's because PayPal only hooks up to a single bank account at a time and only allows that bank account to be connected three times. It's shortsighted but largely due to PayPal's origin as a P2P service so it's understandable. What it means, though, is that a small business can't have eBay and another venue use the same PayPal account. Not using the same account means I have to maintain another e-mail address that complicates keeping track of everything.
Square has the same dopey limitations. Fortunately, their storefront is so bad and their API so restrictive (hur dur only HipsterScript) that it was rendered moot.
Stripe is actually smarter. I can set up multiple sub-accounts on the same e-mail and only the key provided to venue differs. So I can do all of the routing the way I want to. Except dopey Bonanzle wants to force PayPal to be accepted too. It's even worse than being restricted to only PayPal because of the accounting weirdness. It's almost like that was the point. They didn't want to offer Stripe in the first place so they did it wrong on purpose so they could say "see, nobody wanted non-PayPal options."
These "tech" companies are getting as bad as cable and the airlines in the competition to be America's Biggest Idiot Cabal.

Status: Spent the day taking apart and cleaning my VR computer.
The reason? A 6dl spill of conductive liquid that made it's way into the computer. The powersupply duly went KRRRZXZZZTT and started smelling real magic smokey. The breaker also blew, so it was fairly dead. I wiped off everything, waited for the fluid to dry out (there wasn't much to begin with) to dry out, and mounted a new PSU and started it up. The graphics card was dead.
The fans didn't even spin up.
So, I took out out and dismantled it and cleaned up any dried residue on the curcuit board. There wasnt much, perhaps a couple of cm2. Put it back in and tried to start the computer again, and the fans spun up, and then it shut down again. Hey, progress! Clean some more, using light reflexes to find all the tiny spots of residue left between the surface mounted tiny parts, dry it off and back in, and it worked.
Gee wiz.And the new PSU is a lot less noisy. So... Yeayy for spilling fluid into a computer?

@Tsaukpaetra If you mean the latest game specifically, I'd say you're missing out on pretty much the same things the other 5 before it already had.
If you mean in general: you're missing out on the usual "walk around, talk to people, collect resources, make things with resources, trade resources, fetch random things for characters, customize your house" game elements, but with cute animal people.

No, just a single glass, and on the desk. But the water didn't stay where it was spilled and ran off into the computer that was standing on the floor next to the desk.
My cups are of similar size as my glasses as well, I have no use for those puny imperial thimble-sized excuses of cups. The best part was that the computer is entirely unharmed, save for the high current part. That even only got a miniscule amount of fluid in it, because the graphics card sat above it and shielded it of most of the deluge.
The PSU is the cheapest part in the entire computer, so some serious amounts of luck there.

So am I. And most surprised by that the nvidia didn't die, as it was completely covered in fluid.
But a good cleanup of surface residue brought it back to life.
The PSU still smells of ozone, so that one I won't even bother taking apart. Probably easily fixed, but I don't have a use for it and they are cheaply available.
-
@Carnage Taking PSUs apart is only a passable idea if you really know what you're doing.

It can be an electrifying, hair-raising experience even then. Those capacitors store serious amounts of energy.
