Ick. I've got a toothache slowly getting worse that I don't want to deal with, because cavities always end up with pain and screaming for about an hour. If I could, I'd get general for that too :/

For that you may want to shop around a bit. I've had one doctor who was what we call in Germany a "Russian Shotgun Dame". One of my fillings had come loose a bit and was aching sometimes when I took a bite. So she wanted to replace the filling - I can't tolerate the pain from drilling very well so I insisted on an anaestethic.
She gave me one, waited a bit and ... it still hurt. And since it was unexpected I twitched a bit out of reflex. She then admonished me - as if I can help a reflex - and waited a bit more. Still hurt. So she closed it up again and told me that we'd try again in a week.Yeah, as if.
Searched for another dentist in the area, found one who advertised that he specialized in "frightened patients" and what can I say: He took the time to explain what he was doing (he took an x-ray to localize the nerve in question because it might not be where it should be) and actually tested the effectiveness of the anaesthetic by pushing cold ice against the tooth before drilling.
Still took four(4) doses of anaesthetic before I didn't feel anything - he explained that the nerve had probably been inflamed by the movement and thus needed a bit more ... convincing.
-
Four doses, nice. I usually get two, and then my dentist says that's all he can really do for me.

Well, it resulted in the usual affair of half my lower face being unable to feel anything. The warning "Don't eat anything solid for some hours" was not so much for the new filling (that one hardened after 30 minutes) but for my tongue.

Conscious sedation!
-
Yeah, you don't want to go chewing anything unless you can feel your tongue and both your lips.
-
I would not recommend local anesthesia for wisdom teeth removal either.

Heh, reminds me... When I was a kid, I was supposed to get my tonsil removed. And the doctor who was going to do the prelim or something was kind of like that - he wasn't bothered by my screams and protests when he felt around my throat with a latex-gloved hand.
Problem is, my screams weren't really screams of pain per se... but I had, and still have, a rather low threshold for gag reflex. Which the good doctor found out about just a few seconds later.
I still have all my tonsils.

My father - who admittedly was something of an old hand when it came to pain management - would often brag about having root canals without anesthesia, using self-hypnosis. If you didn't know him, it sounded insane, but the fact is that he had weak enamel and a back injury from when he was serving as a corpsman in the Navy (long story short, the guy holding the other end of the stretcher slipped, and dad's back got wrenched badly enough that one of his vertebra was displaced 3mm) meant that he wouldn't have been able to get out of bed in the morning without hypnosis, so he actually was very good at it.
Though in the last two years of his life, even that wasn't really enough. In 2013, the affected vertebrae collapsed due to a progressive osteomyelitic infection that had gone undetected since 1968, and while he avoided paralysis, he never fully recovered. Even with hypnosis and Oxycontin, he was in constant pain. While the collapse of the vertebrae and the subsequent MRSA infection during recovery weren't what he died of (he also had heart disease, which he hadn't told anyone in the family about, and in any case the heart attack he had was so sudden that there was no way to have help him), but it probably contributed, and he was in such misery that it was in some ways a mercy when he did die.

Not interesting when the image makers don't bother to mix up the sources, and some of those were completely obvious. (Hitler didn't care about Cuba, comment much on Socialism, or say a thing about nuclear missiles. Basic history. )

Yeah, it's mostly just pointing out how evil that guy on the t-shirts is. But don't tell blakey, he thinks that guy was nifty.

I think he was a nifty murdering asshole.

What, Blakey is a murderer?

I am a super frightened patient, or more commonly known a coward. I hate going to doctors specially dentists. I get like 3 doses, in addition to nitrogen gas during operation, they should give doses enough time between 2nd and 3rd dose because it takes some time. The problem is afterwards I have to be careful not to bite my tongue to bleed.

Heart failure is usually preceded by lack of mobility, which has other causes. It is the most common killer but not necessarily always the sole contributor.

It's really amazing to me that he has/had a significant following. Then again, so does Trump, so I guess there are plenty of idiots to go around.

I would have used Hillary! or Bernie as an example, but, yeah.
-
Che Guevara and Hitler, two sides of the same coin, delusional mad men good at SHOUTING, with grim followers who want blood and fire and war. Trump does look like a good match. Nope! Hillary is too boring and pragmatic to be used in this context.

Where the FUCK do you get this stuff?
Goddamned, I'm fucking sick of people pulling "facts" out of their ass and somehow assigning them to me.

I think you know.
Trump does look like a good match.
Uh huh.

And that his head is very flammable.
-
To be fair, Trump has the most unlikely hairpiece of all of that group.

Not sure if these have ever been linked before:

Fun Blakeyrat fact : he's actually the reasonable one.Not sure if these have ever been linked before:
Nobody would dare defile themselves by looking at js libraries.THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU. THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!

Fun Blakeyrat fact : he's actually the reasonable one.
You have to be ignorant of his Cuba trolls to believe that, though.
-
Another fun Blakeyrat fact is that his army of Cuba trolls is just three people. They were copied and pasted a few times to make it look like an army.

For day to day pain killers, I use Anacin (aspirin + caffeine), ibuprofen or naproxen sodium.
You to take painkillers every day? Is this because your fists get sore from continually slamming them into other people?
-
You to take painkillers every day?
No. Just...for normal stuff like headaches or muscle soreness.
Is this because your fists get sore from continually slamming them into other people?
The key is to kill the nerves and make the bones denser. That way you're not the one who gets hurt when you punch something.

Yes.
Stupid war that kills a lot of people is not a thing good people does.
Indeed, demonstrating your initial statement.

LOGIC!
"I don't think the US should go to war with Cuba", therefore, "I LOVE CHE GUEVARA!"

I LOVE CHE GUEVARA!
He's just a more honest Progressive than you tend to get these days.

I walked through evis.css and evil.sh, but what is the point of evil.js? Nullifying things?
-
It's the Javascript equivalent of sending
http://usercontent1.hubimg.com/9395864.png
instead of the requested resource, for requests with unauthorised referers.
If you wanted to avoid figuring out how to write server-side rules to send one or the other, you could probably do a lazy version of it that you could paste at the top of your real script and do bad stuff or not based on the URL of the page it's running in.

Most things are just annoying, but:# Set `rm` as the default editor export EDITOR=/bin/rm # Delete directories instead of entering them alias cd='rm -rfv'
No. Just no.
-
I think about everything in that script is too destructive to be funny. Except maybe the enter-to-backspace ones.
-
And random sorting option on
ls
.Well, it could be destructive too if you're using
ls
in scripts.
-
I'll admit to using
ls
in scripts, but only if I need the names of entries in a certain directory (rather than the full paths) and I don't think I've ever needed the order, and only in one-off scripts.

I had 400mg of Ibuprofin this morning that doesn't seem to have done crap for me
I don't take pills anymore because of how ineffective they are.
Painkillers never do anything for me, either.

just to reignite the flamewar that @fbmac failed to start

if you really think that you lack a lot of knowledge about latin-american history. a lot.
