@dkf I'd prefer it at a safe distance over there.

@pie_flavor We seem safe enough: the beer is between the incident and the cameramanβ¦

LemonLDAP::NG is an open source Web Single Sign On (WebSSO), Access Management and Identity Federation product, written in Perl and Javascript.
Won't that be an interesting project to contribute to...

But what I'm more interested in knowing is how the soundtrack will be like, really.
-
Random thought: a Kerbal Space Program speedrun where speeding up time is not allowed.
-
@Zecc Since you can pre-design your vessels anyway, and I doubt speed-clicking research options or missions is very interesting, wouldn't it be more effective to count ingame time in some form?
-
@PleegWat I don't know, that doesn't sound like a bad idea.

@brie That is the HD remake version though. Here's the original (posted before by Zecc):

Of course, the remake does have some cool multiplayer features on top of the new music:
new multiplayer mode. Passengers can sit, wave, and even throw wads of paper at the driver!
-
@JBert ...I thought it looked different in the preview. It was the first one that I found, though.

I'm not quite sure where this idea belongs, but probably here.

You shoot an endless (?) horde of skull spiders, fat zombies and other enemies with a metal soundtrack (which I'm sure is all properly licensed)

On second thought, minimizing the interesting bits sounds like a nice bad idea.

That's speedruns in general.

I tested my undies β a hipster style that comes in a two-pack β over two days, which happened to be a beneficial time to test odor-repelling undies since (full disclosure!) I was also on the tail end of my period. While not terribly messy, per se, it is definitely a more pungent time than usual. Because an Organic Basics representative told me that silver is also heat-regulating, I put them through the wringer on my first day by attending a sweaty vinyasa class. I didnβt find them to be cooling, really, but at the end of the day, I felt like I smelled cleaner than I normally would, given the circumstances. That all shifted on my second day when I started noticing a less-than-fresh scent while I was out for the night, and while it didnβt reek, I didnβt feel comfortable pushing my luck with a third day of testing.
-
No way this could go wrong:
-
@boomzilla I don't know, the restrictions on that make sense:
The bill proposes the establishment of a Citizen Safety Enforcement Pilot Program, where the District Department of Public Works will allow up to 10 trained residents per ward to be able to write up the parking infractions.
These individuals would file a violation by taking a picture of the vehicle, documenting the time and location, and submitting the information through an app. If the people in the program knowingly file a false violation, they will be given a civil fine of up to $100.
We actually have that ability over here in Germany. If anything, we still have too few people reporting shitty parkers, judging from the amount of people parking on bike lanes, in "Don't even stop here!" zones and before emergency entrances / exits.

I can see why you highlighted that. Aren't there criminal (as opposed to just civil) laws already in place against that sort of thing?

Since parking in the wrong spot is not a crime, I don't see why that should invoke criminal laws instead of civil liabilities.

I am reminded of a colleague's mentioning of his neighbour's complaints that a car 'which is clearly not being used' taking a precious street parking spot instead of one at the entrance to the neighborhood. He bikes to work and his girlfriend works irregular shifts, so the car can easily be used and put back in the same spot while a neighbour's at work.
-

Malicious false accusations sound criminal not civil (in the same vein as 'false arrest' etc.)
The bigger issue is that, being USA, the neighbours will just start shooting each other.Apart from that the rest of the proposed rules re. pedestrian/bike lane provision sound very sensible.

I do not see any reason that the severity of the parking violation should change the action of knowingly making a false statement of fact to the authorities under color of law with malice aforethought and intent to bring undeserved penalties upon a person from a crime to something less. Such a person's $(&&%@(( @$$ should be thrown in jail so they'll be with people like themselves.
-
@jinpa Yeah, that's the kind of thinking which has your country already on the top of "people incarcerated per capita".
Jesus Christ, get a grip, y'all. You seem to have no bigger problems than thinking that this will be the end of the world. Maybe wait with the foaming at the mouth to see whether there actually is some kind of incident along that line?
After all, it's not exactly a deed which is hard to detect?

@pie_flavor funny thing is that I can read that subtitle even though I don't speak whatever language (polish? Czech? ) it's in. Looks just like Russian, transliterated.

@Rhywden It'll never work. The point of Lime and friends isn't just that you can leave them anywhere, it's that you can pick them up anywhere too. If the bike can only be picked up at a charging station, that's half the fun gone.
Easy enough fix. Add a small generator to them that can run and charge the battery while on the move.

@JBert I might even watch Sonic not expecting it to be good but there will probably be a few funny moments. The Cats thing, I can't think of a single thing worse than that at the moment.
-
@obeselymorbid I think the re-work they're doing with Sonic is going to make it worse. The original trailer showed what could be a good terrible movie, but whatever they're doing in response to "fan" "outrage" will most likely turn it into a bad mediocre movie.

They apparently have an outbreak of Ebola in central Africa. That's probably worse than Cats.

I'm not sure why that's in here, honestly. OK, sure, it's not my cup of tea, but it's based on one of the most successful Broadway shows ever. And I'd still rather watch that than any of the Japanimation stuff so many of you seem to watch.
