The Flame Ideas Topic

There is only one rule of the flame ideas topic:
- Except for this explanation of the rules of the topic you may only post pictures of rapid oxidation events, colloquially known as combustion or fire.
-
-
This form of oxidation is pretty rapid in winters. I hate rock salt.

And so I'm not called dieselphobic.

I found a better picture of that:

I was going to post that, but looks like I've been

I'd forgotten about the Wankel.
edit: To keep to the rules...
-
I'm fairly certain that's my dad. That really looks like him and like something he would do at the speedway or whatever.

-
Looks like the Rube Goldberg of internal combustion
-
Wow, mesmerizing. Wonder why this didn't take off. Oil companies conspiracy?
-
No; the connecting rods or whatever you call it are fucking impossible to seal. That engine'd be inefficient as fuck. It'd make a Wankel look like a model of ideal fuel economy.
I mean it would work, yes, but what would be the advantage over a standard rotary that uses standard easy-to-seal cylinders? Nothing.

This is also a piece of art:

I can't tell the fire and the fox image threads apart anymore so here is one that fits both.

The connection between this and the post I originally responded to, I will leave as an exercise for the student.
