@dkf You're just a poser then. Since we know there are currently no free razors available this means you use proprietary tools. This is inexcusable.

Power saving features don't really apply to a VM.
Knowing whether or not you're in a VM shouldn't be relevant to the guest OS. Think about the case where the VM is actually on a laptop.

Nah. That's standard Windows behavior. When you copy a file, it retains the original modified/accessed dates. But the creation date is the when you copied it. It kind of makes sense - you haven't changed it, but you did create it.

Status: Almost complained about a NodeBB bug when it's actually Opera's "feature".
This shit pops up above every selection. WHY? This isn't mobile, you cretins!
Also, it will be right above the selection only if your mouse cursor is at level/beneath the selection when you release the left mouse button, otherwise it will be just above the cursor position, on the Y axis that is. X seems to be half way between the point where you clicked the button and where you released it. Hackjob, all around.
Oh Opera... you were so great, once.

Funny enough, Chrome doesn't trigger the OS's handling inside webpages for some reason. Address bar is fair game though!
-
@Tsaukpaetra I'm pretty sure it's Opera doing it specifically in this case, because it does it on Linux, too. Yes, they copied it from the OS. I didn't even know it was Windows doing it because of this. And I'm pretty sure it doesn't on my machine.

Now we just need to test its edge cases: Trry to select text that's near the top of the page, and see if the dropup opens so that you have to scroll the screen in... order... to...
I hope it's smart enough to drop down, but that's what we're testing, innit? ;)
-
-
@Tsaukpaetra It covers the address bar. Fullscreen does the dropdown properly. Can't test the "windowed but at top of the screen" on Windows since I can't move the window to that position on Windows. I can test on Linux tomorrow I guess (too lazy to reboot now, and I want to play some Space Engineers later), but I don't care that much TBQH...

So, we had a massive migration of our school's PCs to a new administrative software which resulted in all our PCs now running Windows 10. They ran a but behind on their timetable because they didn't quite expect us to have 16 different hardware configurations, when they're doing this in schools, they usually run into about 3, tops.
Doesn't quite explain, though, why they're taking 2 weeks now to import the users into the new system - they basically only need to create new users they got from an Excel sheet, give them a default password, assign one of two roles (teacher or pupil) and then create an empty, default storage container and assign it. There's no reimporting of old stuff, it's a fresh start from a blank slate.
Oh, well.
So, next up: They installed the software for our SMARTboards only where it wasn't needed immediately, i.e. in rooms where there's also a chalkboard. The rooms which actually only have the SMARTboards? No software.
And where they did install the software, they didn't quite test the hardware. I already have run across two rooms where the board works but not the monitor (which means that if you need to use the mouse or keyboard for some reason you'll be doing an owlish 180Β° like stare) and another two where it's exactly the other way around (touch events are handled by the PC but the attached beamer doesn't get a signal).
And of course on the Windows 10 PCs, they installed Chrome and Firefox, left Internet Explorer untouched... and disabled Edge.
I'm not sure in which world the last two actions make any sense.
Especially in light of the fact that I told them that I wanted to use HostedWebApps and those kind of rely on Edge.

Yes.
Also, ALT+SPACE brings up the menu.
So even if the window opens offscreen (looking at you SQL Server Profiler), you can ALT+SPACE, M and then arrow the window back into view.

Headline:
Have archaeologists just unearthed stunning BIBLICAL PALACE once owned by King Solomon?
Subheading:
ARCHAEOLOGISTS have unearthed a huge palace in the ancient royal city of Gezer, Israel, which they are linking to the Biblical King Solomon.
20 words in:
...the archaeologists behind the discovery were quick to stress evidence for who occupied the house is non-existent...
