@Tsaukpaetra I had an iPhone 3G given to me which was enough to put me off them for ever. Sadly, Microsoft seems to be doing everything it can to kill off Windows mobile so it looks like I'll be downgrading to Android soon :(

To me an iPhone is like a Wii.
It's entertaining for all the reasons that I'd never own one for myself.
-
@xaade It was a fantastic gadget but the shittiest phone I'd ever used.
-
Well, I mean, someone gives me an iPhone after an app is loaded, and I'm ok, even though the usability is different.
Navigating that mess of a "do it this way, screw your customization" is enough to frustrate the crap out of me.
Which is, frankly, what frustrates me about a Mac. Navigation.

The Wii had a way to legally get old 8/16-bit games without having to hunt down used cartridges - even rare ones.
That was awesome.

The screeching idiot vulpine seems to have slacked off. If we can't make jokes that he might find offensive...that will leave out a hell of a lot of jokes.
Would it be offensive to suggest that the humor to be found in a joke is directly proportional to the degree to which it offends the screeching idiot vulpine?
Good.

@Jaloopa I'm sure if you asked nicely for an admin option on their bugtracker they'd eventually get around to it.

If the bullet is pointed at your head, it's likely to become one.

Between my belly and my beard, I've experienced variations on most of those.
Also, I'm pretty sure if we do a poll, most here would rather talk about breasts rather than beards and bellies.
So why are we talking about Satan's invention the bra? #freethenipple
Taking my bra off is one of the first things I do when I get home.
I could not go to work without one. Definitely can't wear tank-tops in public without one and expect not to get arrested.
Plus underboob sweat.
Pics or its not real!
I missed this earlier.
This isn't even the lounge.
According to @FrostCat I am only allegedly a girl.

This is the internet, so you must be a GIRL instead of a girl unless proven otherwise.

I've seen American TV shows where people know a car is a rental from the licence plate. Is that a thing or just made up for some reason? Seems weird when you're used to a numberplate just encoding area and age
If it is a Ford Fusion with plates from a state across the continent, there is a good chance it is a rental.
Same goes for Suburban, and a couple of other models, for the most part.

The British are the only ones that have worked out a way to beat speed cameras. They use old tires and petrol.

I posted my spider queen picture when @ben_lubar had a mention of thinking of me as the Giant monster crab. I was thinking spider as I had that as a costume for several years.

Halloween karaoke.
I think it was @FrostCat who asked me what I was singing...and based on most positioning...I am guessing Alanis Morissette, "You Oughta Know."
ETA: The main part of the costume...I made. I bought the fabric and designed it. Extra pieces, like the not-exactly-a-bra bra and the glowing spiderweb piece behind my head were bought pieces by my husband.

That was just anonymizing the picture...for some reason that pic didn't want to allow regular blurred face.
It really doesn't go with the costume.

A bit of tar and a paintbrush work well too. It also takes longer for anyone to notice. Just sayin' and not implying that it is a lawful act or anything…

It works differently to like what you're used to. It's one of these things where there are multiple right ways to do it, but you don't want to try to do several of them at once. It's possible to spend lots of effort thinking that I'm wrong on this, but I'm right; it is a matter of habit, no more.
-
@dkf Here's my British colleague's idea:
- Get his car from the UK to Sweden.
- Borrow a skeleton from the medicine department and put it in the passenger seat with an extra steering wheel.
- Speed past a stretch of speed cameras.
- ???
- Profit!
-
Also I hear that drilling a hole and filling the inside with polyurethane foam works great, it expands over time and crushes the equipment inside as it hardens, and even if maintenance gets there before it settles it's almost impossible to clean up. The problem is you need something to drill the hole, the cases are really sturdy.
Not that I know anything about that, though. I read about it in a work of fiction on the internet.
