Similar to this - there were a series of commercials around "we secretly switched $HPC with Folgers, will anyone notice the difference?
Waaaaaaaaaay back in the day.

@izzion pff. I liked their incest ad better.
-
@PJH aw, shucks. I totally thought they were going to go the condom route with that box.

Oh - I didn't bother watching any linked videos. Should I?
-

I'm surprised it took so long to be honest.
Why?
Really? First mention of that (non-existent) username, what, yesterday? Someone actually realising and creating the name hours (almost a day,) not minutes, later?
I am disappoint.
-
Which brings me to a point/issue I can't be bothered testing, since I'm testing vodka at the moment, but was actually a problem on - can a user have the same name as a group?
-
@PJH Seems like it won't allow that. I get "Username taken" on the registration page.
-
@NedFodder @PJH so, a new user can't be created with the same name as an existing group... what about a new group being created with the same name as an existing user?
-
@anotherusername Nope, "Group already exists".

@PJH hmm, I'm a group? Seems like it'd be more appropriate error message if you used @Tsaukpaetra as your test subject, but ok...

Because that totally makes sense!
TIL all users are also groups, and all groups are also users...
BTW, thanks @all_users for complicating things. Newbs won't know what hit 'em!
-
@Tsaukpaetra yeah, it'd make more sense if both of them had a more generic "name is already taken" message.
-
@anotherusername "Name is already taken. Please try anotherusername."
