Everything people think of as politics are things that would have happened anyway - and yes, that includes wars and pogroms and all other kinds of atrocities, the politics may be used to justify it but it doesn't cause it.
So everything people think of as politics is literally politics, which is why it's not politics? CSB
Meh, I'm doing a shitty job of explaining it, sure. Hey, it's not as if people like Diogenes and Prince Siddhartha didn't say the same shit long before I did, anyway; they were both fuckloads more eloquent than I am and people still didn't get it fnord.

@DogsB said in Many U.S. government leaders remain vulnerable to BOOBs:
Get otter here! Boobs as far as I'm concerned are a very important part of the future of mankind!
@Sentenryu said in Many U.S. government leaders remain vulnerable to BOOBs:
@Onyx to be fair, a future about boobs could only be good.
Fuck you, you both know what I meant, stop constructing strawmen!
Actually, wait... do they have boobs? If so, construct away!
-
@ScholRLEA Stupid, stupid, stupid... why did I even say anything in the first place? I am such an idiot.
The problem is, I loathe politics, and seeing the way people talk about it pisses me the fuck off - too many people make all sorts of ludicrous comments about it, including myself - but it fascinates me, too, like the way a three-year-old gets fascinated with poop. I should know better.
Sorry, TDWTF, it's no you, it's me. If I could ragequit my psychological problems, I would, but instead I think I need to leave the forum instead - not out of anger, but because I'll just keep acting like a fucking addict of I don't.

Actually, your brain craves information.
Even if it's shitty information.
So, you're WAI.

@DogsB said in Many U.S. government leaders remain vulnerable to BOOBs:
@boomzilla @Polygeekery and @xaade being the only three open conservatives I can think of rarely if ever talk or imply shit like this.
I am not strictly conservative. I am more libertarian-leaning. My views on religion, drugs and abortion pretty much exclude me from being called a conservative. ;)
-
why worry with unlikely military action if we ignore the clear threat of a human caused climate change apocalypse

True. Despite claims by some that these forums are run by conservatives, the only qualification you need to get that title around here is to be more conservative than Hugo Chavez.

Lefties just aren't used to people actually challenging them and they certainly aren't used to making coherent arguments to support their views.
Probably thinking too much about BOOBs to realize that they are boobs.
-
@boomzilla said in Many U.S. government leaders remain vulnerable to BOOBs:

That's what happens when you never hear a coherent argument for the counter position
-
@Polygeekery CONSERVATIVE ABUSE!
If anyone is doubting this, we're not even allowed on lawns any more!

if I turn her around and don't see giant boobs coming out of her back, I'm calling shenanigans on that left diagram.
If you turn her around and she happens to have a sexy butt, you might forget about the size of her boobs and that diagram altogether.

Not everyone is into those.
-
@aliceif said in Many U.S. government leaders remain vulnerable to BOOBs:

I'll never understand that. I'm a butt person. Butt and face determine whether I find someone attractive or not, I really don't care about the rest.

@asdf you don't know what you're missing

@Jarry said in Many U.S. government leaders remain vulnerable to BOOBs:

???
Why do you think I'm missing out on something? It's not that I don't look at other body parts as well… I just don't find them incredibly important for determining whether a person is attractive or not. Boobs, for example, are great in (almost) all sizes and shapes.

I can't help but notice you said nothing about penises.
I know, I know. The guacamole thread is :arrows:.

That's an accurate observation.
-
@asdf so are you bi, or just down to party if you should happen to meet an attractive woman who has a penis?
-
@anotherusername said in Many U.S. government leaders remain vulnerable to BOOBs:
so are you bi
I wasn't planning on ever mentioning that on this forum, and it's probably a bad idea that I am now, but yes. I am attracted to people, not only to a single sex.
BTW: I find both ends of the Kinsey scale equally confusing; I simply don't get how people can only be attracted to a single sex.
@anotherusername said in Many U.S. government leaders remain vulnerable to BOOBs:

No idea, I have no first-hand experience with that kind of situation. Even to me, it would be a bit confusing.
-
@asdf said in Many U.S. government leaders remain vulnerable to BOOBs:
Why do you think I'm missing out on something?
do you use a mechanical or membrane keyboard?
-
@asdf said in Many U.S. government leaders remain vulnerable to BOOBs:

I am terrified of people and also sex.
-
@ben_lubar Ah, so that's why you play Dwarf Fortress :P
-
@ben_lubar said in Many U.S. government leaders remain vulnerable to BOOBs:
sex.
You can wash the fluids off afterwards, Ben. They don't stain.

@ben_lubar have you been diagnosed with something or are you exaggerating?

@ben_lubar Well, I heard they were considering putting dwarf fortress and lojban on the next edition of the "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders" (aka DSM)

As well as excessive post deletion?

Pfft. That one is getting added retroactively to a previous edition!
-
@fbmac said in Many U.S. government leaders remain vulnerable to BOOBs:

Yes.
(I have a mechanical keyboard at home, but only because it was the only good ergonomic keyboard I could find, and I needed one for medical reasons. It's nice, but I really don't give a shit about the type of keyboard as long as it's comfortable to use.)
-
@ben_lubar said in Many U.S. government leaders remain vulnerable to BOOBs:

That's true for an estimated 83% of this forum's members. Most of us studied computer science. :P

It's a pain. 50-ish % of the population is immediately filtered out from the selection pool

Same here. You're forgetting that only a small percentage (guesstimate: 2%) of all men are openly gay or bi.
-
@asdf still extra 2%!
Kidding aside, since I can't really affect it I just don't worry about it that much as long as I don't bother anyone and no one else bothers me about it

No, I just get confused between the Discard and Submit buttons. I keep assuming submit is the first in line and not looking properly. But usually I do it the other way around so no-one ever knows.

People have gotten used to the idea that same-sex attraction is a thing, but telling people you're bisexual still seems to confuse them. Whenever I tell someone, I get one of the following reactions:
- The other person assumes I am gay and too afraid to admit it.
- The other person assumes I'm heterosexual and just want to experiment.
- The other person doesn't believe me, because I'm flirting with women all the time. (No shit, sherlock! Finding a single, attractive and indubitably gay man outside of a gay bar is even harder than finding attractive, single women. And I really don't need the embarassment of getting rejected by a heterosexual man.)
- One ex-girlfriend broke up with me because she was convinced that being bisexual means that you want to constantly have sex with both women and men and that she therefore wouldn't be able to satisfy me. (WTF? I don't even…)
The whole concept seems to be very confusing to people.

They are at least usually aware of it being a thing that exists, though. And you can accurately fill out an equal opportunity monitoring form.

Those things are super-weird. I don't think they exist anywhere outside the US.
-
@asdf said in Many U.S. government leaders remain vulnerable to BOOBs:

I'm outside the US.
Tell me, do the American ones at least have an 'other' option for orientation? I've never seen one that does in the UK. They have 'prefer not to say' of course, but that's not the same thing.
