Nah I watched like the first 13-14 (although I usually skipped past the combat to the cutscenes).
But now it's just endless.
-
This is chapter 7 of 8 I think. I decided to take a break after the last episode I've recorded goes up before I start the living world and heart of thorns missions.

FTFM
Filed under: ... nor any other video @ben_lubar has posted.
There are apparently 41 parts of that series so far.

I did say FTFM (DiscoMarkdown, yeah!). I never intended any implication of what you may or may not have watched.

Visual Studio broke on an update.
2015 RTM -> Update 1?

Thanks for the reminder to pull the turkey out of the freezer to thaw.
That reminds me. The butcher this morning was selling turkeys as well; big ones which had been fattened specially to order, and that looked rather good. I helped an old lady by carrying hers out to her car, as it was too large for her to lift at all. When I first picked it up, I wondered if I'd made a tactical error in offering to help, as a fork-lift would have been more appropriate for that monster bird.
I'm glad that we got there at 7.30am so that there wasn't any sort of queue to speak of. The queue was building fast by the time we were leaving, and the butchers were working as fast as they couldβ¦

I thought you Brits enjoyed queuing?

Only when we've nothing else to do. I had to also pick up a load of vegetables and bread before time.

Status: Wondering if it would be possible to figure out how much bandwidth Discourse has "saved" by having "optimized" versions of every uploaded image.

Shouldn't matter, cause it's all getting cached anyways. Right?
Right?
Oh god, really? No?

Sure it's possible. Feel like turning nginx logs and file lists into a few tables?

Status: it occurs to me that a lot of mediocre Commodore 64 games could have been declared classics simply because it took the disk drive 5-6 minutes to load a new game if you got bored of it.
You have a big incentive to play in long blocks of time that doesn't exist in, say, 2015 Steam games.

STATUS:
[B#339] [14:39:10] [Server thread/WARN] [FML]: [TwilightForest] Biome ID conflict detected. Edit the Twilight Forest config to give all biomes unique IDs.
You wouldn't be nice enough to tell me which one conflicts, would you?
No?
Ok then.

Keep in mind that most Bukkit plugins are written by 12-year-olds who are learning Java.
Source: @ben_lubar made some Bukkit plugins when he was a 12-year-old learning Java.

I assumed the B# at the beginning was related to Bukkit. Are you telling me that B# stands for "Forge"?
-
Bukkit plugins
Huh, I need to check which version my server is on. Probably nobody can even connect to it anymore it's so old...
I think v1.6.5?
-
That... actually comes from Technic launcher I think. It's the Technic Launcher build number.
Why it's required for every. Single. Line?
Who knows.
But yeah, the mod is Twilight Forest which is a Forge mod (as if there's another kind... modloader? what's that)
-
-
1.6.4?
Don't think 5 was a thing.
I've still got a 1.6.4 server, although it's getting ready to be replaced by this one. If I can make the frickin thing work properly x_x
-
If it doesn't support forge I'm not interested. Vanilla Minecraft is boring as hell
I assumed the B# at the beginning was related to Bukkit. Are you telling me that B# stands for "Forge"?
Also you can tell it's Forge from the
[FML]
part ;)
-
1.6.4?
Don't think 5 was a thing.
Dunno, it's been so long it was a fleeting guess. A lot of stuff is broken on it, in fact nearly all of the links to Minecraft-related things on my home page are no longer even found....
-
If it doesn't support forge I'm not interested.
In the first public beta test, it didn't support right clicking and would kick you from the server if you did so.
I posted it on some minecraft forum as a PvP server. Something like five hundred people joined. I made people admins if they asked for it because the only command available to admins was the "make user an admin" command.

Status: my dhromebook's down arrow key fell off. Snapped it back in, but it's probably not going to stay attached.

Then you obviously just need to glue it on.

my dhromebook's down arrow key fell off
Well it's a good thing you have an on-screen down-arrow that can do the job!
-
My $300 profit said otherwise :)

That's a great skit. The last year before Channel 38 neutered their New Year's Eve Three Stooges Marathon, that was the name of it, too, the "slowly I turned, step by step, inch by inch, Channel 32 New Year's Eve Three Stooges Marathon."
The next year it was only 4 hours long, and they called it the half-as-long-but-twice-as-nice etc., etc, which was a lie, false advertising, and untrue.
-
There are apparently 41 parts of that series so far.
Probably not even Ben.
-
You wouldn't be nice enough to tell me which one conflicts, would you?
No?
Ok then.
Isn't that just lovely? Fortunately the worst that happens is that you might wind up with a Twilight Forest biome in the overworld.
I think you're looking for biomes with biome IDs over 128, that conflict with the stock sub-biomes.

We need a bot that does nothing but follow @fbmac around quoting him before he deletes things
This post will be deleted in 42 hours unless flagged

The comments I delete aren't worth quoting or writing a bot

Then stop making them.

The comments I delete aren't worth quoting or writing a bot
Doesn't mean it wouldn't amuse people to have a bot quoting you for posterity...
-
Dude, if everyone just deleted posts that are less than brilliant... well, I'd be the only one left posting!

Unfortunately, WTDWTF's Docker is several versions behind, so it doesn't have a volume command.

That's what I do most of the time

SO IT RUNS IN SHOUTY MODE THE WHOLE TIME? THAT IS⦠UNFORTUNATE.

No, it runs in E_NOT_IMPLEMENTED mode. Everyone knows what happens when you "float inputs", right?

Sirens and lights blasting full power.
They probably just wanted to make sure the dead knew they should move out of the way.

Unfortunately, WTDWTF's Docker is several versions behind, so it doesn't have a volume command.
Just find the volume knob and turn that up to 10, or 11 if it goes that high.
-
Cause instead they should wait for someone to get in their way before turning that stuff on? I'm not clear on what you think they should be doing instead.

Status: Finally beat Black and White 2. I stopped playing it back when it first came out, because about halfway through the game it becomes astoundingly unfun.
It's still astoundingly unfun. But oh well.
Kind of tragic because the idea of a god game where:
- You can directly manipulate almost everything in the world
- You have a gigantic AI-controlled kaiju who obeys your commands
really really appeals to me, but the execution is so irritating.
