So, yes, that's the one. It feels particularly wrong hearing an English version...
EDIT: Lon counterattack!

For three days now, I've had that dumb Carmeldansen song stuck in my head. It won't leave.
After watching a minute of that video, I would suggest high doses of Ketamine to reboot your brain. Something has gone awry.

My Lon counterattack seems to be working. Funny things about this video: It's easy to look at the shoulders as amputated arms. Also, the gender of the singer is widely contested, and a war rages in the comments on all of the songs by said singer.

Status: 10 minutes into my counterattack. My record is ~3 hours. Still deciding whether I want to sacrifice my sanity to break that record. Also, still sad that you can't find Lon's solo version of Remocon on youtube, for whatever reason.

Jesus. Look dude, if you just want to be mercilessly tortured, I know people that can help with it...

Well, the thing is, I actually really like Lon's voice, even when that voice is somewhat offkey. This song is odd, because it's some vocaloid song that Lon karaoke'd on Niconico, that randomly became popular. And like any popular youtube song, it has insane 10-hr loops. The full version is somewhat better. I wouldn't call it the best one Lon's done, but it's quite memorable.

Or, he could check out these search results: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&rlz=1C1MSIM_enUS610US610&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=find a dominatrix
I am not enough into the dominatrix scene to know how to find ones that will step on your testicles, because hours of that song is roughly the same effect.

The versions of Remocon on youtube are all awful.

But I like this one.

It depends. Do you have a lawn?

Went to scrum. Talked to people. Counterattack failed. Carameldansen is back.

I know exactly when: september 12, 2014.

You don't know that. For all you know, I could have already been quite insane.
I mean, I think I'd already started saying 'Sanity is for the weak!' at that point.

Ok. Thats when your insanity became official?

And then suddenly sneeze and when you blow your nose afterwards this whole wad of nosegunk comes out and all of a sudden the world crisps up and you feel awesome again now that your sinuses are clear. You could even plausibly swear that, just for a moment, you could hear the music of the celestial spheres singing out the Hallelujah!

Status: installing Windows 10 on tablet, let's see if the release is better that the buggy beta mess.
So far no problems, other than Windows deciding that I actually want the Polish version. Oh well, will grab the language pack later...

Dick move. Make it mid morning Monday instead.
It'd still be a dick move, but a reasonable one.

I have a bug. My tablet wakes up to a black screen. Hibernate works.

Lucky bastard. Just did the same and I'm seriously considering setting up a VM with some Linux distro that used the very first KDE4 release to figure out whether that was even more unstable than Windows 10 or whether the latter is as shitty.

Make it 9am Monday. Nothing like spoiling everyone's Sunday evening enjoyment for the sake of a meeting!

If (alcohol will be provided during the meeting at company expense) { fair enough; } else if (alcohol will be provided after the meeting at company expense) { maybe; weigh other factors; } else { dick move; skip it; }

I have been working a lot lately, so last night I decided to do something fun. A few months ago while looking for a robotic arm on eBay, I found an Armatron that was advertised as not working. Knowing how simple they are electrically, I picked it up and last night I finally tore it apart and fixed it.
Today:

What was the first KDE4 version that KDE thought was stable enough for production / release?

Did it ever become stable? I ragequit at some point and switched to GNOME.

It's Linux, it's never stable enough for production. Not anywhere sane, at least. </blakey>

Status: So I was listening to music on youtube. My company is weird, and has some kind of proxy thing set up, so youtube thinks we're in India. The next song on the playlist started, and one of those Youtube ads began. But this one wasn't an ad. It was a full tutorial on some kind of niche software, unprofessional and sounding like it was a live presentation. It's 2:50:00 long.

I've been using it without any major problem. I've never liked GNOME. Either way, a valid comparison is when they thought it was good enough, just like MS now believes Win 10 to be good enough.
