Well, yeah. I found this one funny first because there's an emoji for the letter 'O' and second because the problematic character sequence looks like a guy with a huge nose.
There's also the bug reported by @locallunatic. The initial discodev response was "It's hard", with some mention of complicating logic that's meant to prevent displaying "10 days later" when a filter is being applied. Then Jeff comes along and says "Actually, you want that on the unfiltered posts." Well, duh. No one said otherwise.

What about the package that imports the entire Windows API and then wraps the functions in functions that discard the error?

My son called me because some webcomic he was reading was plastered with ads that broke the page formatting, and ABP didn't block them when he installed it, or it blocked them but still left placeholders that broke the page, or something like that. So, in the course of figuring out what was going on, I looked at the page he was complaining about. No ads for me, but I really like the look of the comic. My son said the story is episodic and disjointed, but I like the art enough to try reading it anyway. Sigh, just what I need, another webcomic; I still have 5 or 6 years to go of the last one I started.
The ads? Turns out he managed to get some adware called PastaLeads. I told him to Google the same thing I Googled; the results are full of instructions on how to remove it, and he is as capable of reading and following directions as I am. While I was talking to him, a friend of his dropped by; said friend happens to work in a computer repair kiosk in a mall. Between the two of them, I guess they got it worked out, because I haven't heard any more about it.

Sequential Art, which my son recommended. My son tells me Sequential Art is now updating irregularly, so when I get caught up (only about 8 years to go), who knows how long I'll have to wait between strips.
Caught up on Sequential Art. Next, [Dresden Codak][1].
My son said the story is episodic and disjointed, but I like the art enough to try reading it anyway.
Actually, I don't know anything about the story yet. In fact, I've only looked at one page, but the art on that page is interesting enough to read more. I'm a big fan of Art Deco, and that page is very Deco.
However, no more tonight. It's not very late, but I can barely keep my eyes open. I think I'm going to go to bed early.

I can't actually check, because I don't have one. If you feel like it... let's guess terminal. Open a terminal, cat some file. Reboot. The terminal will presumably re-open, but it probably isn't displaying the file any more.
The OSX terminal copes; the file is still displayed, but in a greyed out state. For example:
But there are other applications that don't cope with resuming at all well.

I didn't frame the OP in a joking-enough manner, I'm not being 100% serious with my question.
In reality, I have a good idea what's going on. Our old outsourcing client has dumped us and the new client is still ramping up. People who were working for the old client had to go. So now we have too much space and boss is looking into either moving or leasing out some of it. My job isn't really affected by this (different clients).
Still, I'm saving money and looking at the job openings more often.

Still, best to be prepared for shit hitting the fan. Just in case. It wouldn't be the first time a small business has gone under because some client has been slow.

Nah. Only losers get fired. I'm not a loser, therefore how can I get fired?
I think I'll just take a few more credits for that Jacuzzi I always wanted.

I walked right in to that one.
You'll be pleased to know that as a gesture of solidarity with all the people online who think everything is me, I have decided to continue using Adblock Plus when watching this man's videos.

takes about twenty, maybe thirty minutes for the natural oils of your skin to loosen it to the point you can remove.

acetone
I buy technical grade in 25 litre tubs for degreasing stuff before welding, it costs about 30 quid. My partner ran out of nail polish remover once so I offered her as much as she wanted of my acetone and was then amazed to find out it's resold for nails at 6 quid for 250 ml! That's one hell of a markup even if they do colour it pink.

They also spike it with a bittering agent to make it BLECH for anyone who tries to drink the stuff.
Also, there's quite a bit of nail polish remover that's ethyl acetate instead of acetone -- don't ask me why.
-
don't ask me why.
because it's far less toxic.
it also doesn't work for shit, but at least it won't kill you before you can get to the ER if you're stupid enough to drink it.

It's also slightly less flammable, and smells a lot more pleasant.
