I hadn't even scrolled that low.
It was fairly near the top for me; I guess the order isn't fixedAlso:
Softporn II
1: It's called Softporn
2: It's a sequel

Wow, and only like 3 weeks after this was in every goddamned news site and blog on Earth.
EDIT: it's funny, I don't post things because I think they're so oversaturated-- nobody wants to see it here, when they've seen it like 57 other places. But then someone posts it weeks later, and it turns out a bunch of people here somehow didn't get the news. The Real WTF.

Or got the news, made a note to check it out later, forgot, did other things, then got reminded later on

Wasn't this already posted here? I'm sure I've seen it, maybe in the game deals thread?

This is the first place I've seen it.

Shocking how we aren't all obsessed about video games, eh?

I pretty much just skim that thread.

Ah. I remembered running across that fairly recently, but didn't remember when or how.
I guess the order isn't fixed
I seem to recall reloading the page and see them in a different order, so no, it's not.ETA:

Probably. I know I've seen it before, and this is by far the most likely place for me to have seen it.

You're on WTDWTF. Your productivity is already gone.

I don't visit the same news sites and blogs as you it seems, which is weird since there's so few of them!FWIW, I got the link from a friend via Skype.

Seconded. Your sources are clearly much better than mine.

Probably because they're not open sources

DO NOT.
Megman for DOS is awful awful awful awful awful awful.
Very notorious among the Megaman community for being even worse than X7.
-
-
What do you mean?
7 was good.X7 is a badly executed mess with 3D and 2D levels, really bad voice acting and lots of other issues.
Oh, and you can't play as Megaman X at first because he doesn't like fighting anymore.
-
Oh, and you can't play as Megaman X at first because he doesn't like fighting anymore.
That seems to me to be like if Sonic decided he didn't like going fast.
-
7 was a pile of crap; I figured they only released it to show how much better X (the first one) was in comparison.
-
Ok, it isn't anywhere as great as X1-3, but I wouldn't consider it to be crap.
-
It's the worst of the original series by a wide margin.
Maybe 7 just isn't Capcom's lucky number.
-
That seems to me to be like if Sonic decided he didn't like going fast.
So... Sonic 2006.
-
I get more enjoyment out of 7 than out of &Bass.
-
So... Sonic 2006.
I was thinking more like Sonic Labyrinth. But then in that game it wasn't his choice; Robotnik stole his sneakers.
-
I don't understand the "sonic=fast" association. I've played the first Sonic game and it was so full of obstacles that you had to slow down all the time. Even Mario moved faster.

To be fair, the speed was more in the cartoons and the marketing. It's also a meme:
-
You weren't dodging well enough.
There's a timer on the screen. You got more points the faster you completed the level.
-
Did anyone really care about points since, well, Atari 2600?

Hell, I posted it on here a couple of weeks ago and nothing. Maybe the post got DiscoEaten?
-
When you play Sonic at full speed, you hit all the loops, bumpers, etc. perfectly... It's like a religious experience. It's like nailing the song levels on Rayman Legends, but on every level. It's the best.
The good, 2d, games I mean.

So... Sonic 2006.
More like Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric. It's Sonic Unleashed night-time stages meets Sonic Heroes.

That was where I posted it, yes.
:D

I hadn't seen this before, so thanks.
Since it's an infinite scrolling page with no progress indicator that I could see, and as noted above, doesn't present the results in a consistent order, there's no meaningful way to know how much of the list I got through before I got bored and stopped - but is it bad that I saw about 8-10 games there that I still have on my computer (and still play now and then)?
... and saw about half a dozen more that made me think "I remember playing that, I should grab it"....

Megaman X has always been obsessed with morality, so him not wanting to fight is kind of what he's known for later on in the series.
I think the Megaman Zero games on GBA were about some far distant future where X goes full justice mode and takes over the world, because only He can bring about True Peace.

My only exposure to the Mega Man franchise has been through the Archie Action Comics line, and it went on 'indefinite hiatus' before they got to do any real X stories
-
@RaceProUK That makes sense. I imagine you'd like him, though. He's a blue hero!
But yeah, the interesting thing about the series is that the main Megaman series is somewhat more light-hearted, whereas X is more angsty. Not so much in the first game, but it grows steadily more so as it goes.
I haven't really played anything past X3 much at all in the main series. My favorite game of all time involves a different Megaman with a different origin, who is an OCD AI. Then there's the Starforce version of Megaman, where he's some kid who fused with a magic electromagnetic space dragon.
