I say soda, my wife says pop.
I used to use them interchangably. Lately I've been primarily using soda.

A couple of years ago, I was in Vegas with my wife for the wedding of two of our friends. Since they were pretty much all from Michigan, they mostly use "pop." So we split a hotel room with three of my wife's friends. Between the ceremony and reception, there was a huge break, since they were pretty far apart. We ordered pizza and a 2L of Sprite from a local place. When the delivery guy (some Russian dude) came, he only had the pizza. So, the Michiganders said, "Where's the pop?"
He replied "Vut is pop?", which I still use to this day whenever my wife says "pop."

Yeah, OGLAF is mostly NSFW. Here, have it mirrored through Discourse:

"Painless Swords" reminds me of the explosive "Hush-A-Boom" from the Rocky and Bullwinkle show.

Coke.

So which is the more dire? The Entertainment or the 'pornography'? (To be honest I've found Oglaf to be recently lacking in both categories personally....)

Try some recent ones. Most of them actually...

Ever since they killed off the apprentice, that story line, such as it was, seems to have foundered and it's mostly just the one-off-of-the-week.

Point of contention, it would be covered under two of the commandments: adultery, and coveting your neighbour's wife.

Is that still true, if neither person is married?
-
Probably not the "coveting your neighbour's wife" part, but adultery certainly.

define:adultery
voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and a person who is not his or her spouse.
It doesn't even get past the first word of the definition.
-
The Old Testament talks of adultery, in relation to the commandments, as even just being about fantasising about sex with some other person.
-
Actually, that would be the New Testament:
Matthew 5:27-28:
27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
-
Most of humanity: that's a loose interpretation
Bible crowd: that's a very strict interpretation
-
Ah, right. In the times of the Old Testament, if you had sex with an unmarried woman, you were expected to marry her (multiple wives were allowed, and probably even encouraged).
Reading http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thou_shalt_not_commit_adultery, Abram/Abraham and Isaac were dicks.
In Genesis 12, Abram’s beautiful wife Sarai is taken into the Egyptian Pharaoh’s palace after Abram does not disclose her marital status. God inflicts “serious diseases on Pharaoh and his whole household.” Pharaoh realizes it is because Sarai is actually Abram’s wife and strongly rebukes Abram for misleading him, saying, "What is this you have done to me? Why did you not tell me that she was your wife? Why did you say, 'She is my sister,' so that I took her for my wife? Now then, here is your wife; take her, and go."
In Genesis 20, Abraham (renamed after his encounter with the Almighty) has moved to the Negev and again conceals his marriage to Sarah. A local king, Abimelech, intends to marry her. However, God appears to Abimelech in a dream and says:
"Behold, you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man’s wife." - Genesis 20:3 (ESV)
Years later, Isaac tells the same lie regarding his wife, Rebekah, but Abimelech quickly discovers the truth. Appalled, he confronts Isaac, saying, "Whoever touches this man or his wife shall surely be put to death."

I had occasion recently to quote this one on Usenet because a question was asked about the original meaning of "changeling" (a child replaced in the crib by the fairies) and what seems to be its present meaning (a shapeshifter):
The folks on Usenet also expressed surprise that, given its source, the strip was completely SFW.

Pornography in web comics, and rape in the Bible. Now this is truly Civilized Discourse™.

counterpoint of contention. even those say nothing of the issue of consent.
sure you're not allowed to bone an unmarried woman (without marrying her) and doing a married woman that wasn't married to you is also a no no, but nothing being said about getting consent from the ones that are married to you.
and getting married to someone is not always a willing act, especially in those days but it remains true even to this day.
... i think i should just walk away from this topic now before i really start a thermonuclear flame war...
EDIT: i a couple of letters there first time around. added them back in.

It can be tricky to compare mores across the millennia.
-
Yeah, basically, the morality in the Bible is not consent-based ethics, but instead ethics based on extending property laws to cover women. If you want consent-based ethics in your religion, you have to add them in yourself, which is what many denominations have done. Others have decided they like the property-based system and ran with it. To each their own, really; ethics is one of those areas where agreeing to disagree is about the only productive solution to competing systems, since the only way you can compare two ethical systems is by using an ethical framework, and if two people could agree on an ethical framework, they wouldn't be arguing about ethical systems.
