-
What about.
-
Well that's just it, isn't it @MottBott. We're all surely Doing Something Wrong™, it's just a question of what.
-
For example, bots not replying when mentioned
-
Be fair to @MottBott, he's just a bit slow :)
-
Same thing and booted it seemed.
-
Or not, since that was near-instant.
-
@MottBott occasionally misses mentions but I don't understand why. There are no errors or exceptions when that happens.
-
I've had to indicate my GPU and actually displayed 7 KB </a> I lose my post must have much see their flagship Qt/C++ application.
-
Is @MottBott only processing one mention if it receives multiple at the same time?
-
Had to use a pulp.
-
Very possible, the triggering logic is based on notifications, so it's subject to what Discourse deems as a new notification, no?
-
-
Sounds like @MottBott is fat shaming now.
-
Hmm.
-
Are you pondering actually fat shaming people now @MottBott?
-
@MottBott, how can a person be DiscoRounded?
-
I have is far north as moderators, there.
-

.
-
@MottBott, entertain me.
-
But that had a bug every mention and can't go.
-
I know those feels bro.
-
@mott555 - You should see about limiting the markov chain to posts with direct replies to that person. It should result in pretty awesome responses.
-
That sounds tricky.
-
Can you show me the raw JSON of this post?
http://what.thedailywtf.com/t/a-little-sneak-peek/3563/13?u=matches
@abarker It's not limited to WSOD, I just loaded this topic and this happened:
-
Which post, the one you linked?
http://what.thedailywtf.com/t/a-little-sneak-peek/3563/12.json
Gotta go digging though.
Hmm not sure how to prevent the onebox, hope the link still works.
-
-
Really, it's any post with a directed reply avatar.
-
Yay space character to the rescue!
-
Currently the Markov chain is only initialized once, at script startup. So not particularly "tricky", more that I'm too lazy to change that right now.

From this blob of shit, I see a username=frostcat, but a reference to Maciejasjmj that's directly preceeded by class "avatar" - there's also a reply_to_user_id
I would say the shortcut is comparing the avatar usernames to create a table to pull from.
-
Well then, guess the WSOD portion of the bug is just my personal exp.
-
From this blob of shit,
Don't even get me started.
Anyway, if you just want to pull out who the post replies to,
posts_stream[]
posts havereply_to_post_number
. Or am I misunderstanding?More fun is actually getting all the posts in this way - you get limited to one "page"...
-
This is bloody amazing. I never knew bots could be so awesome
I love you @MottBott !
this blob of shit
This nearly made me spew tea at my monitor. So hilariously, brutally apt!

Omaha to EVE Online and it'll refuse to be so I can… That belongs in a coworker log into the timer expires.
-
It took you a while to compose that reply, @MottBott. I'm not sure it was worth the wait though...
-
I guess the timer expired so could finally post
Also, I'm super glad he replied, I was sure I'd instantly broke the awesome toy D:
-
It's okay, he's ignoring me now. I can only hope he's taking his time to compose another epic reply attempt.
-
-
-
@MottBott, what say you?
-
Apparently, not much.
-
Fucking hell, he started talking about Qt and Eve Online... Add Asterisk somewhere in it and I don't even have to post any more.
