@error YOU MEAN YOU HAVEN'T YOU PHILISTINE??
The entire series, no. Games before Original Sin are proper eurojank. Dragon Commander had cool RP stuff, but it's still jank. OS1&2 are the good stuff, yeah. But that really depends what exactly you liked in BG3. Because they were made (OS1 literally, OS2 relative to BG3) on a shoestring budget.
I'm playing OS1 right now. Enhanced Edition is really nice - full voice over, more quests, more weapons, better graphics, etc. I'm having a blast so far (just finished Cyseal).
[edit]
What's worth mentioning, if we are talking about OS in relation to BG, is the fight system. D&D system is really a bad choice for a video game. As much as I love BG (1, 2 and 3), fighting in them is taken straight from a pen and paper setting and it shows in a bad way. OS has fighting designed for turn based combat in a vidya and is a lot of fun.

Status: Zoom's safe driving mode is very safe. It turns off audio at the slightest provocation (like going faster than 20 km/h or so) and is near impossible to turn it back on. So I guess it is mostly useful for ensuring your name is in the participants list while you cannot join because you are driving.
Andf what about the camera?
Will you still be shown wearing the safety belt while you switched your background to a virtual living room?

Will you still be shown wearing the safety belt while you switched your background to a virtual living room?Dunno. I use android auto, and the only person I've seen use zoom video in the last year or more is our VP in his occasional (2-3 months) all hands sessions. Screen sharing, of course, is far more common.
-
@PleegWat I work remotely, so all our meetings (except the occasional impromptu Teams 1:1) are over Zoom. In just about every meeting I've been in, at least one person has his camera on. Sometimes several, but always at least one. There's one particularly guy who only rarely does not have his on. The meeting host, organizer, and/or principal speaker usually has his or hers on. Sometimes other random people. But only rarely is there no one with video on.

I'd like to see this game remastered, if they won't give us ES6. It would at least be better than Skyrim Turbo Alpha 2: The Movie.
Morrowind was the last Bethesda game that grabbed me. Sometimes think about going back to it but theres only so many hours in the month.
The trick is to learn how to drink and play video games.

InflationPricejacking isn't done yet, is it?The site I used to buy most of my storage totes from now has a "delivery surcharge" per case that just about cancels out "free" shipping from breaking $150. That's on top of jacking up prices and cancelling the annual membership coupon. If I wanted to order any real quantity, it'd be cheaper to drive to Philly and pick them up myself. It sucks that the more physical stores Amazon destroys, the more ridiculous shipping prices become and the more "coked-up epileptic baboon dodgeball tournament" describes the handling.

That is fully according to plan, and why they focus on “growth” instead of profit.
First, you undercut competition until you have market dominance (in this case for pretty much everything). Then, you jack up prices.

They're going to do nothing. For a year at least. And then suddenly despite signing in with a gmail address, it will stop having historical data. That's probably basically it.

The FAQ just says
If you’re already a Fitbit customer, you can continue to use your existing Fitbit account with your existing Fitbit devices and services for as long as Fitbit accounts are supported. This will be until at least 2025. After support of Fitbit accounts ends, a Google account will be required to use Fitbit.
But doesn't clarify what that actually means.
It's for me because I'll be replacing it with something else before that's enforced.

Status: TIL the voicemail box is limited to 14 Mb.
Considering it's using up 600Kb per minute of audio that means we have roughly 25 minutes of talk time.
Currently the email integration is broken, which means the normal pipeline of syncing the messages and deleting no longer works.
I can't wait to see what happens when it's full.

The same thing that happens when it’s not full, except without the intermediate step of users having to record a voicemail message to be ignored.

Technically these must not be ignored, as they're for attendance. But yeah, the world will still turn.

Status: Mom's car battery died. Spent a few hours failing to jump it, driving them around to get a new one, and helping them replace it. My thanks go out to the folks on the Internet who write up where the manufacturer decided to hide the battery this week and how much of the car you'll have to take apart to get to it.
Back in my day they put the batteries right in front where they were easy to replace and easy to smash in an accident!
-
@Parody Every car I've ever owned came with a manual, and among many other things that manual would describe basic servicing items, like where the battery is, how to change a burnt-out headlight (possibly after admonishing you to get the dealer to do it) (except in the latest one which is all LED), and how to check or change the oil.

You mean this?
There's also this in the "Additional Maintenance" section:
The battery is also mentioned in the two page description of how to jump start the vehicle using the "remote terminals" in the engine compartment.
Related is the Charging System light on the dash, where the manual tells you to bring your car to a dealer if the light stays on.
Lastly, there's about three times as many mentions of battery in reference to the key fob, including step-by-step instructions on how to replace the standard watch battery within.
As it turns out, the battery in my Mom's vehicle is buried under some other stuff in the engine compartment and was very annoying to lift out after we got all the crap out of the way. I assume that's why the new one has a handle on top.
I also found out that the battery in my vehicle is under the rear seats.

I once had a car where the manual made it look simple to change a (front) bulb.
Except it conveniently forgot to mention that there was no way to access the lights assembly, without taking apart a significant part of the car.The dealer showed me how they managed to do it: lift the car up, remove the front wheel, find a small access hatch and remove the cover, and then someone with quite small and flexible fingers could access the lights assembly.
The alternative was to disconnect a bunch of hoses including one for the cooling system partially draining that (and refilling it afterwards).I never bothered trying to change a bulb myself afterwards.

Back in the 1990ies, I had an Audi 100 which was already euqipped with ABS, and also had airconditioning. With this setup, the battery did not fit to the place it actually belongs to, and sat below the back seats of the car.
One time I managed to generate a clusterfuck: with the battery being almost empty because forgot to switch of the headlinghts, I could still start the car by having it roll down a little. But then ... woom ... the belt for driving the generator just tore apart. I still could drive the mountain downwards, and could park the car next to a tram station. Back home, I went back on bicycle to get the battery from my car, and charge it at home, the next day bring it back, ...

@topspin I just checked twitch and one streamer has in his title: in Australia for the Wonder release.

According to the manual my Mom's car is similar: turn the wheels to reveal the access panel, take the access panel off, reach into the crevice at an awkward angle, shove a tube out of the way, take off the cover, pull out and replace it, then put everything back.
Mine is also similar, but replaces "take off access panel (one screw)" with "remove large trim piece (many plastic clip rivet things)" and the awkward crevice is more awkward.

Temperature isn't too bad here, but the wind and rain are enough that I don't want to go out. Especially as going nearly anywhere at all would involve traversing flood zones.

Meanwhile, in my car, the battery is mounted fully visible in a place where it is easy to reach and easy to replace. The most surprising thing is that it's a car made in the last 5 years and doesn't fill up the engine compartment with useless covers on anything.

Apparently there's no way to get to the code behind, so I'm stuck using the insufferable UI tools, which suck balls.
Today I learned that it is invalid to nest DataCard components, as only the first level of DataCards are checked for their data for inclusion in the form submission.
Really wish I had known that before placing and carefully arranging 23 controls on this blasted piece of shit.
