It's fine, most of the other instances fail to interface per properly. The bit alignment is off just enough that sync isn't quite possible.

This one though. This is a scalie. Watch them around eggs.

Yeah, except even running with caching disabled and freshly refreshing the page doesn't help. I literally load, then immediately save, and ban. Wrong version.
Could also be as simple as a wrong timestamp on a file somewhere. Or a computer with the time set wrong, perhaps because of clock drift.
Well it's been wrong on the cloud for a two days. We'll see if it stays rainy next week...
The rain is still falling.
Reading the requests, it very clearly states the modified time is in the past, though I'm not sure what other qualifiers it is using to determine what has been changed.
Guess I'll just have to deal with it.
Also, no, opening the file and immediately saving it still produces the error dialog, so unless something is touching it by merely opening.... but then again this is Microsoft we're talking about, that's very much within the scope of possibility...

Sometimes, New Reddit shows images and galleries just fine: You can see the whole image, go to the next one, whatever you like, even for vertically oriented images. But sometimes, it blorts them to (nearly) full width, resulting in this:
Clicking "see full image" doesn't actually do that, but opens the slightly narrower post view, which includes the captions but still doesn't show the full image.
Clicking "see full image" again opens a new tab where, finally, the full image is visible. However, despite having reddit's interface around it (as opposed to a jpg in its own tab), this view has no captions or any way to see the next/previous images.Just for fun, I took a look at how old reddit handled it. Surely it would be worse, right?
Thumbnails by default, caption right there, all three images visible. Clicking on a thumbnail expands the image inline immediately: no loading time, no new tab, just the fully visible image, with the caption and previous/next buttons to navigate:

Excel I can tell to not update shit when opening. This? This is just doing its own thing.

Not opening .csv's in a tool that's not designed for them

Ah, I guess it's not a global option.

When that scrolled into view, I thought somebody had posted a Rorschach test. Only then did I notice the button etc. below it.

@Gurth Did you identify it as a or something else?
Oh wait, I do not want to know the answer anyways...

E_CONTAINS_NO_BUTTON
It contains a button in the picture that says “see full image”.

@Zerosquare Here, have all your $0.00 back. Or you could ask for it in € or £ but then there will be a percentage transaction fee.

I thought I saw a kneeling warthog in it.

you could ask for it in € or £
For some reason, my brain read £ as ₤, which would be even less useful.
-
It seems no-one can make an installer with a properly sized details pane, least of all the non-technical mom-and-pop startup called "Google"

I believe you'll find it would be exactly as useful. ¥ and ₩ are also available, but no more wealth-inducing in this case.

I think that's NSIS, so they can share the blame with the WinAmp folks from 20 years ago.
-
@Parody It does look like NSIS now that you mention it, but without the Nullsoft branding and green-on-black that I would associate with it. But if they went to the trouble of customizing it that much, Shirley they could have made it just a bit wider to accommodate their fixed width status readout

@hungrier ...or checked the checkbox that makes the window resizable. (Yeah, it's a bit more work than that but for a simple window like this it shouldn't be too much hassle.)

If that's in plain win32, it's pure hassle. Because life sucks when you use a framework that doesn't provide sizers. (BTDT)

The M with a bar through it is sadly not an option on my keyboard nor in Unicode. Hasbro ought to get on with that.

For some reason, the Unicode commission isn't willing to consider Mbar as an appropriate currency for greasing the skids.

LOL - I had moved to wxWidgets long before that! (back in 2009) No more MFC for me...

It’s too much pressure for them to handle.

Why? It's only 26% of the pressure at the center of the Earth (according to wolfram alpha)

Underlying actual issue nothing else is saying? My phone can't perform hardware-based attestation. I.e. Since I'm no longer using a six year old OS, it can't be verified, and thus is ban listed.
I do love security theater, especially when the curtains won't even be opened...

When I plug headset (a jack-based one)
- I need to have “MaxxAudioPro” installed and the pop-up enabled for Windows to actually recognize it as a headset instead of just headphones, though they should be trivially capable of doing it by sensing that it's a 4-pole jack and not a 3-pole one.
- Most audio streams automatically switch from the ambient speaker to the headphones. Except, sometimes, Teams.
-
Teams
Teams likes to switch audio devices and cameras on me. Sometimes it's logical (laptop is docked -> use the dock speaker) but other times it just seems to happen randomly without any rhyme or reason (used the webcam mic for one meeting, next meeting it reverted to a different one that's not connected)

Why does it not ask the OS which it is to use?

- Most audio streams automatically switch from the ambient speaker to the headphones.
This is a Windows feature.
Except, sometimes, Teams.
Teams is Special. Discord will at least ask. Every time. Unless you tell it to never ask ever.
-
That little company in Redmond, WA is trying, guys, give 'em a break. They're nearly there on having their workplace workspace app with an operating system on the side (which is why Teams can't ask the OS)

I don't know if it still does, but in the past when iTunes started playing on a PC speaker, if you connected the bluetooth speaker, it would never switch until you actually restarted the app.

Yes, prior to Windows 8-ish the application had to specifically poll the windows audio subsystem to determine if the default had changed.
Now apps can subscribe!
