Aren't they already defunct? I thought the remaining stores were independent entities that are privately owned?

Got it. They've turned into zombies.

But at least they continue to help video cards find homes. Even if they’ve turned them over to abusive parents and screwed good video card owners everywhere.

Clownfield 2042 is an FPS where you take a role of unique soldier, equipped with six weapons that has to fight enemy and win the front. After 2022 cryptocrash caused by NFT's, majority of nations collapsed and a union of "No-Clowns" has been formed. You are one of them, arm up and get ready for war

Kudos, from "promising new token" to "pwnt!

I know we're all going to get better at spotting such bad actors moving forward.
The future of Web3 depends on it.

Well, Samsung didn't waste time to jump on that particular bandwagon:
NFT Platform: This application features an intuitive, integrated platform for discovering, purchasing and trading digital artwork through MICRO LED, Neo QLED and The Frame.

@LaoC Opensea? Oh right, that particular NFT marketplace which can really be trusted:

But don’t worry guys, it’s crypto so that makes front running OK, just like all the other illegal activity crypto facilitates.

Cross-posting because somebody is farting around:
@Boner said in In other news today...:
Here are the article's closing words:
“Even though I got backlash, I think it has opened a new door for me. I’m working on digital fart jar artwork at the moment,” Matto said.
“I think everything happens for a reason, and although my fart-selling days are ending, I am going to save the money I’ve made and will put some into crypto,” she added.
Pretty sure we'll catch wind of Fart NFTs in the near future, and they'll likely sell too.

I told my girlfriend that we should start selling my farts, but use her to sell. She wasn't in on the idea.
why turn down such easy money?

Who would be considered the silent partner in this case?

@Zecc what about silent but deadly?

In other news next week, a new wave of cryptoscams where people sell their NFTs, then claim they got ripped off to get them back "at a discount", pocketing the difference.

If users have turned on Norton Crypto but no longer wish to use the feature, it can be disabled through Norton 360 by temporarily shutting off "tamper protection" (which allows users to modify the Norton installation) and deleting NCrypt.exe from your computer."

@DogsB AV software is indistinguishable from malware. News at 11.
Also, if your PC is constantly running at 100% usage anyway due to the AV, might be better to waste that on crypto shit than on scanning.

This is even better utilisation as you'll have Norton AV munching 100% of the CPU and Norton Crypto munching 100% of the GPU.
200% utilisation

It’s Castlevania’s 35th anniversary! And you know how Konami is going to celebrate?
By selling you NFTs. And as the article makes clear, there’s extra bullshit on top. Oh my, yes.
If in doubt, #FucKonami

Traditional investors taking a haircut too. Guess the market is projecting that the Fed is going to have to stop playing games on the sooner side of later.

It's looking like worldwide inflationary pressures are ticking up. Too many damn things pushing prices up, even if we ignore basket cases like the UK. If it was just one simple thing, maybe some other measure would work, but it isn't; interest rates are going to rise, and the era of super-cheap borrowing is nearing its close.
Which isn't altogether bad for the global economy, but does shift where you best get your profits from rather fundamentally.
-
-
@izzion eh, crowdfunding legal fees. Not the worst idea ever.

I might take back that endorsement. I’m not sure I can be friends with someone who needs a block button for anything other than spam.
-
I feel like jwz is a relic of a different era; not a boomer exactly (though it's clear he's amused at being labelled one), but he was 'there' when 'things' got interesting and he seems a bit like he hadn't quite noticed the world has moved on without him.
I think he'd be a better fit for the

It's both. Some of his rants are very Garage-like.

@Zerosquare I’m certain some of my rants could be interpreted as Garage like though.

I thought we'd had Sunflowerland Farms covered in here but scrolling back I don't see it. Anyways...

@boomzilla Very decentralized. Much wow.
-
@boomzilla Apparently, they're fixing stuff and will relaunch as "Sunflower Land" instead of "Sunflower Farmers", but that whole article is in "TDEMSYR Land".

@boomzilla this is the best trick the RIAA ever pulled off
